Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a surprise and little, and now it is time for you to post until the little cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: APPETENCE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Topic of the Day: Fries and toast
;)
-
Topic of the Day Addendum: baguettes, crème brûlée, crêpes, éclairs, croissants, macarons, French bread
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
BK, I'm very happy to hear "The Brain" is getting performances. I haven't seen a royalty check in some time, so I assumed no one was performing it.
-
Today I must go to market and try to get through the Pirate Dance of How to Succeed . . .
-
Good morning, all.
-
That’s great about the Brain. I have checked from time to time to see if there are any productions in this neck of the woods.
-
Well, I must feed the horde and go in and practice a couple of numbers I’m rehearsing with a clarinetist and cellist later this morning. This is for a small music fest thingy tomorrow.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Another crazy busy day today.
-
Good morning!

TOD: in my going-out days, Burger King used to start serving breakfast at midnight, and back then, their French toast sticks were a taste phenomenon, Do Burger King Franch toast sticks count for the TOD?
-
Or is anything that's a post OK?
-
More TOD:
Then anything at La Crepe, which was in the mid-40s in the theater area.
I found the equivalent crepes quality-wise at the Paris Hotel in Vegas. When we stayed at Bally's, 2003 or so, which was beautiful but un-themed so very reasonable, there was a connecting corridor to the pricier-because-it-was-themed Paris, so you didn't even have to step out into the Vegas heat (though no humidity, the locals kept saying!) to get there.
-
TOD: French Fries
-
Congrats to MR BK on the royalty check.

Good morning to all
-
This is so Annabelle and Thatch!
-
I am sitting in my favorite NYC brunch spot , Lillies Victorian
-
I have just picked up a ticket to see the matinee of Kinky Boots
-
The traffic in this morning was ridiculous and for some reason every damn West bound street I tried to take was closed
-
I endedupcancelling my parking reservation and chancing street parking for my closing
-
I got a spot right outside the building I needed to be, checked the sigb...no parking Saturdays until.10 am
-
Checked my car clock...its 10 am!
-
Ran in did the closing was done by 10:30
-
Got back to my car and there's a damn $65 ticket!
-
It's dated today and marked as being at 9:57!
-
I call BS
-
But I don't know how I can prove it
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep, which is more than I usually get when she of the Evil Eye comes. I was actually in bed by twelve-forty.
-
Duckling L'Orange was one of the choices we offered at our wedfing
-
I loved L'Crepe...i seem to remember frequenting one near Lincoln Center
-
There was one on Long Island in the 80's
-
Enjoy the show, vixmom!
-
There was another little French place out in Smithtown, or The Branch...i forget it's name but my college boyfriend and got all dressed up one evening and went there. I had rabbit as I recall
-
Jane probably will never speak to me again after that confession
-
Enjoy the show, vixmom!
Thank you!
-
I understand there is a new term... Or insult really, for those of us who prefer steak and potato to squid hearts marinated in tobacco juice... "basic"
-
Or perhaps it's not new and I am.just too basic to have heard of it before
-
Does havi g Earl Grey creme brulee for dessert count as basic ?
-
This is so Annabelle and Thatch!
;D
-
Jane probably will never speak to me again after that confession
I grew up eating fresh fried rabbit. As good as it was, never again.
-

Yes that was a once and done for me as well
-
I feel less sentimental about cows and pigs
-
Thanks everyone.
DR ELMORE tell Annabelle I am not sure about the champagne, but if there is any, I will have a glass for her.
-
Call back vibes for DR TCB.
-
I feel less sentimental about cows and pigs
Cow and pigs are very smart and sadly aware when they are going to be slaughtered.
-
I shall soon be on my way....who knows when I shall return....
-
Back from bacon and eggs and toast and fruit, picking up a package, and stumble-through is in an hour.
-
I enjoyed the first act of Kinky boots
-
Elmore you may let Annabelle know that I roasted her with .a celebratory mimosas at brunch
-
And Thatch too
-
Elmore you may let Annabelle know that I roasted her with .a celebratory mimosas at brunch
She told me she was feeling hot today!

I only managed to sleep until 7:00 with lots of brief waking during the night.. I need another 10 hours of sleep.
I read that as "lots of brief walking during the night." I could not figure out why you were doing so much walking in the middle of the night. :)
-
DR Vixmom that is disgusting to give a ticket at 9:57am. Was the guy hiding while you parked? You should fight it and say that you were sure it was 10am as you checked your car clock right after you looked at the sign. :(
-

Funny, as I often do brief walking around our place and then go back to bed. Currently there is too much clutter to do so until the work is done. The clutter is driving us batty, especially since we have been forced into the situation.
-
Good afternoon.
-
I am home from the callbacks.
-
We were scheduled for 10 to 3, but only the children had to stay after 11:30.
-
A couple of the actors reading for two of the leads were not in attendance.
-
I don't know if they are out of the running, or if they were given a separate time because of conflicts.
-
So, I have no idea where I stand.
-
If I was as vain as everyone thinks I am, I would say I nailed it.
-
But, sadly, I am pretty insecure.
-
I got a couple of nice nods from fellow actors after I read.
-
The director decided to have warm readings instead of cold readings. We are all sent sides last night to become familiar with before the reading. We did not have to memorize them.
-
Apparently, I was the only one who bothered to familiarize myself with the sides.
-
I always enjoy cold readings.
-
Although, being good at cold readings cost me, at least, one part in a show.
-
The director of DEATHTRAP accused me of not listing that I had done the show before.
-
I really had not, but because of that reading, I never did get to play the role.
-
Well, I am talking to myself.
-
So, so long for now.
-
Twenty-seven years later, and we still have not learned.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
This must have been the week of the retrograde that covers electrical problems. In addition to TCB's scary wall fire earlier in the week, on Thursday my shaver conked out, and last night my portable fan bit the dust. Mine were not frightening like TCB's, though.
-
Vibes you get the role you want, Tom.
-
Jane, I'm pleased to hear you can now eat with both hands. I'd call that a milestone. Would you say you're in the home stretch?
-
Congrats to BK on his surprise miracle! I'd like one or two of those in my life, too.
-
In Alexandria, I once received a parking ticket when I felt quite certain that the meter had not expired when the ticket was written. I think the meter maids assumed it would expire and wrote the ticket anyway. Really annoying! But, like Vixmom, I had not way to prove it.
-
There used to be a really good French restaurant in Old Town Alexandria called Le Refuge. Very small, but very good.
Kevin, do you know it? On Washington St, just north of Duke St.
-
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
If I was as vain as everyone thinks I am, I would say I nailed it.

I am guessing you nailed it. Vibes you get the role.

:o
-

It was not nice that the director didn't believe you, still it was a compliment.
-
Jane, I'm pleased to hear you can now eat with both hands. I'd call that a milestone. Would you say you're in the home stretch?
Nowhere near the home stretch, not even half way there.
-
Today I began wearing my wrist support. In order to do certain task I am moving other parts of my body, such as my wrist, in uncomfortable positions. Not only does the band help my wrist pain it keeps me from bending it when I shouldn't be keeping it straight.
-
I have mentioned the ticket in Los Angeles, actually the two tickets down the street from each other for the same car at the same time. We could not get the impossible extra ticket dropped.
DR Vixmom I think you should ask your boss to pay for it.
-

Kevin, do you know it? On Washington St, just north of Duke St.
No, DR Jeanne. But I'm not one to ask about such things. I'm not much of a foodie (and I'm a vegetarian).
-
Hope you get the role in the play, DR TCB!

It's still there!
-
At least as of last October,we walked by but did not eat there
-
It's been a busy day.
-
First dance lesson was at 8:30 a.m.
-
Followed by an intense dance lesson from 10 to 11:30.
-
Had lunch at a Jamaican place with some good, not great, jerk chicken.
-
Then off to a 60th birthday party for a friend. His wife had a craps table, roulette and black jack with real croupiers and fake money.
I only played roulette, which I had never done before. I hit the number twice. And the gambling bored me as it usually does.
-
But I saw a bunch of people I hadn't seen in years, and that was fun.
-
Then I went to an Oktoberfest for some beer, a brat and potato pancakes. Good stuff.
-
Now I'm at home to rest and unwind before bed.
-
TOD:
I love French food, especially the dishes from the countryside. Ratatouille, lentils, meat and bean stews like cassoulet, coq au vin, boeuf bourguignon, pear or apple tart tatin.
-
This French pumpkin tart with prunes in it looks especially wonderful to me.
https://www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/Pumpkin-Tart-with-Prunes
-
I also love a French recipe I found in Larousse Gastronomie, the greatest of French cookbooks, for eggplant boats, which you can fill with all kinds of wonderful things, from sausage for meatlovers to dried fruit and vegetables for vegetarians, and you bake them in the hollowed out halves of eggplant.
-
Where is everyone tonight?
-
We can get to page five with a little push.
-
Vixmom, I'm sorry about your parking ticket.
-
Let's move on.
-
Five!
-
Last night, I ushered for The Fab Four, a theatrical Beatles tribute. I wonder how many people in the audience knew that Paul McCartney was playing up the road in Austin for only a little more per ticket.
-
I see Paul this coming Friday.
-
Had a really good stumble-through, went to Barone's and had a couple of pieces of pizza, came home and have been relaxing and listening to music, and am watching a bad movie called Chappaquiddick.
-
What is the matter with people on Facebook. Every month there's a new stupid hoax and every month people fall for it like complete fools. I'm sorry but it's maddening. It began a day or two ago with a chain mail thing saying "I got a friend request from you and I'm already your friend so your account has been cloned." Everyone then says this has happened to millions of accounts and they share and share and share. Well, no - it's a HOAX and someone's having a great laugh at people taking this one to new heights. I've never seen anything like it. They don't Google - if they did they would find numerous articles stating clearly that it's a HOAX. I mean, I'm talking about smart friends of mine who are behaving like they don't have a brain in their head, which seems to be what Facebook does to people. I've been correcting them all day and night and some even fight me on it, which makes them doubly foolish. They say, "but I got a message saying they'd gotten a friend request." Well, no, someone just forwarded the same old crap to you as if they'd written it. They got NOTHING from you. But you know what? Pretty easy to find out: Type your name in the search box - if you see two accounts with your avatar then you know you've been cloned. Everyone who is saying they've heard from people have NOT heard from people - people are just sharing this same thing - that's not hearing from people. If there are not two accounts when you search then you have not been cloned, which has been the case with every single person who's made this post today - when they actually check there's only one account.
-
It's just unbelievable.
-
It's also frightening how gullible people are and how they'll believe ANYTHING, which is, of course, why the Russian bots and trolls got away with what they got away with.
-
Now I'm at home to rest and unwind before bed.
It sounds like a fun day.
-
I have received the same notices on messenger which is even more annoying. To me messenger is for private conversations not "copy & paste" or shared messages. Every time I get a notice my phone beeps wherever I am and I hate that.
-
'night
-
The dopey thing is that people think the person sending it actually wrote it and that it's real, when all that's being done is the same message is being shared over and over again. https://www.hoax-slayer.net/pointless-got-another-friend-request-from-you-facebook-cloning-warning/

Cool! A national tour is coming to Olympia next year sometime! I hope I get to usher for it.
-

:o How rude! >:(

I have mentioned the ticket in Los Angeles, actually the two tickets down the street from each other for the same car at the same time. We could not get the impossible extra ticket dropped.
What?? That's terrible!
-
I see Paul this coming Friday.
Cool!!
-
Good evening. It took me over twenty minutes to get signed-on to HHW.
-
Well, I have heard nothing this evening, so I am thinking I didn’t get cast.
-
DR Vixmom I think you should ask your boss to pay for it.
That's a good idea.
-
Well, I have heard nothing this evening, so I am thinking I didn’t get cast.
Oh, no. :(
-
Did they say that they would call tonight, or are you just assuming that they would call tonight?
-
Tomorrow after my union meeting (actually, I'll have to leave early from my union meeting), I have an audition, also. The call-backs are on Tuesday. I don't know how long it'll take them to call people to let them know. Hopefully, it'll be soon after.
-
I can’t even load my iPad music tonight.
-
Life is just Hell tonight!
-
I can’t even load my iPad music tonight.
Yikes!
-
I got 30 seconds of Babs and Barry and it stopped.
-
Now it is working again. I guess I just had to bitch about the whole thing.
-
One more post.

Sometime you just gotta do what you gotta do. ;)

George, I hope your audition goes well tomorrow!
