I did get quite a few things done today. I rearranged a couple things in the living room and like it a lot, but as a result had to move the bird feeder outside so I can see it.  I put the screens in the gazebo. I didn't get them painted, but I want to put up the plastic around the gazebo tomorrow, so it will wait until spring.  I also got all the outdoor furniture into the room in the basement and put up a new dryer vent cover so the cold air doesn't blow in anymore

It's time for me to leave, so I'm leaving.  I told my sister that I'd come over and put up some metal shelves for her new backyard shed.  It shouldn't take too long.  They do go up fairly easily, but you have to pound them together with a rubber mallet, so it gets pretty loud. :P

Have a good evening, all!

Home now for my 1-day weekend - at least it's an hour longer than usual!

Vibes for the family of DR Jose's DB!

Our family received some good news - Capt. Christopher N. Palmer, USAF, is back in Georgia after his 2nd deployment to Iraq.  He's a search and rescue helicopter pilot.

"The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd" - Although not technically a flop - especially since it was picked up by Lifetime after NBC dropped it from it's schedule - but it "feels" like a flop to me.  ;)

wonderful show that was canceled far too soon.

Watching Legally Blonde on MTV, and noticing they put an Old Spice commercial right after the "Ireland" number, and that commercial had Irish music in it.  I wonder if it was a coincidence.

Jane, hope you can take the anti inflamatories. It seems like there should be something you can take.

Thanks Cilla.  I can’t tolerate aspirin, Advil, etc.

I took another one tonight, my second and possibly last one.  It wasn't too bad on my stomach last night, and I don't mind the light headiness it gives me   ;).  What I mind is it is making my GERD worse.

Thing is, these reactions can become accumulatively worst, so I fear taking it too many days.  I know the side effects won’t simply disappear once I stop taking the meds.

You would think by now someone would have produced anti-inflammatory meds without such horrendous side effects.

Jane - Has your doctor ever suggested taking anti-inflammatories in conjunction with plenty of food or with antacids, or have you already tried that?

RE: last night's GHOST WHISPERER

SPOILERS

I liked the episode a lot although I found it unusual that they had mel and her hubby fighting.  But i was glad that they had resolved things by the end.

I think the tone was more like the shows from past seasons. I find the storyline with her brother has made things quite different.  He is such a dark character. And the show had mostly in the past just been about her helping people.

I think the whole med school idea came out of the blue for me. But i sort of like it.  It could shake things up a bit.

FJL-Thanks for asking.  i did receive that advice, which i suspected.  i was told to take a pepcid complete instead of upping my regular med, but i forgot pepcid makes me sick.  i took an extra dose of my GERD medication today and skipped the pepcid.  at least i'm not extra sick from the pepcid ;D

My experience is that pharmacists or nurses do better than doctors giving this kind of advice.

I got home from work in time to see the last quarter of the Michigan/Michigan State football game, which was pretty exciting and a good outcome for the Wolverines.  Then we switched over to watch the Cincinnati Bearcats escape a loss to South Florida.

You're welcome, DR Matthew.

Oh, and I just remembered two more shows...

"The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd" - Although not technically a flop - especially since it was picked up by Lifetime after NBC dropped it from it's schedule - but it "feels" like a flop to me.  ;)

"Grand" - I loved this show, and the cast.

Oh gosh!  How could I forget GRAND.  Pam Reed would never forgive me if I forgot her first TV series.

I MARRIED DORA:

Elizabeth Peña
Daniel Hugh Kelly
Juliette Lewis
Jason Horst

We loved this show and were so sad when they announced it was canceled.  Sad & shocked but we couldn’t stop laughing.

[In an airport]
Dora Calderon: What's wrong, Peter?
Peter Farrell: It's been canceled.
Dora Calderon: The flight?
Peter Farrell: No. Our series.
