Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Vitello's 100, and now it is time for you to post until the 100 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: PASSIM!
-
First post after BK.
-
Congrats, BK, on the successful 100th Kritzerland show!
-
Great pictures in the notes, too!
-
I suppose I should get some sleep, and so I shall. 8)
Have a good day, all!
-
Day 6 with no MAC.
I have a doctor appointment today.
Not a shrink, but if I don't get my MAC back soon....
:'(
-
Good morning, all!
-
This morning I'm seeing Dr Cohen about these sinus polyps, so I decided to get up with the kitties and stay up.
-
Around 2:30 this morning I woke to find Thatch sharing my pillow. Later, I rolled over on him and he spent the rest of the sleeping further away from me. Stella spends part of the night in my bed and part of it on the rug next to the bed. Annabelle began the night in bed with Thatch and me, then climbed up to her aerie in the bookcases. She decided to rejoin us around 4:30, at which point I was fighting three cats for space.
-
DR TCB, if you check Vivienne Segal's name on a youtube search, you'll find a video of her career. She was the soprano lead for Jerome Kern in 1917 and Sigmund Romberg in 1925 before Rodgers & Hart made her a lusty comedienne pnce she outgrew her ingenue days.
-
DR Ginny, what is this "Oregon" area in Dayton? I don't remember ever hearing any part of Dayton called that when I left Ohio!
-
BK, kudos on another successful show!
-
Congratulations on your 100th show it sounds wonderful
-
I saw the review on FB along with comments
-
Congratulations to Jane and Keith on their impending grandparenthood
-
Good morning, all.
-
Patrol was brief but Annabelle saw some pigeons foraging on the sidewalk so she was happy.
-
Good morning, all.
-

Ditto. Loved the photos. Great to see both Richard Sherman and Sami.
-
I’m not in a get ready for work mood.
-
Sneezing, sneezing, sneezing, sneezing, sneezing. Son of a BITCH.
I generally only take Benadryl at night, but I think this needs to be a Benadryl DAY. Fortunately, I can afford it, as I have nothing I must do today that it will compromise. Better just do it, or I’ll get nothing done.
-
And now that I think about it, we’re in August, traditionally a heavier than usual allergy month for me.
-
Congratulations on a wonderful Kritzerland 100th!!!
-
The incommunicado and incomprehensible, infuriating inconsistencies (see what I did there?) of Facebook know no bounds. Reports of this could rightfully be publicized daily. Do members of Congress ever nail Zuckerberg with outrage over this kind of crap along with their admittedly more serious charges?
-
We had us a nice read-through of CABARET last night.
The cast was surprised to find us including the music, but this director and I have done it whenever we think it’ll be worthwhile. We’d already worked through Sally’s and the Emcee’s songs a little bit and Fräulein Schneider came in knowing hers pretty well, so I played the entire score (less the Entr’acte & Kick Line and a couple of underscores) and it made for a more meaningful evening.
They’re starting their blocking this week so I don’t have to be there for a few days, which is nice.
-
Monday.....congrats to MR BK & Co. on their successful show....and congrats to MR BK on 100 Kritzerland Shows!
Nice photos.
-
Never turn your back on a cat! I just did, and turned back to find Stella drinking water out of my water glass.

Stay calm vibes for DR Druxy!

Congratulations to Bruce on a great 100th show.

As did I.

Of course you did :D

Stella is determined to set up shop in the refrigerator. I cannot keep her out. She was after my fried egg until I gave her some. She licked off all the oil and seasoning and left the egg. Neither Annabelle nor Thatch will eat egg, either.
-
We had a cat that loved spaghetti sauce. If I turned my back I would find him on the stove with his head in the pot.
-
Once while going after food I was cooking he burned his paw. Fortunately I caught him before any real damage was done and treated it. He was fine and I watched him more diligently after that.
-
Our cats are egg whores.
They don’t get solid human food as treats, but they’re occasionally allowed to lick a bit of residue from a plate, and in that context they’re crazy about eggs.
-
He was the smartest cat we ever had but his obsession with food got him into unusual situations. After the paw incident he still jumped up on the stove but only for tomatoe sauce. Fortunately after his short time locked in the frig he never jumped in there again.
-
The other favorite food for that cat was cantaloupe.

I think all of our cats liked eggs, especially the yolk.
-
Thankfully, we’ve never had a cat show the slightest interest in the fridge. Or the washer or dryer.
-
I enjoyed the notes and photos. Bruce I was happy reading this was the best time you have had doing the patter.
-

Yes as they are scary fixations.
-
I don't recall having a cat jump into a washer or dryer. Having heard so many horror stories I was obsessive about making sure they had not jumped inside before shutting the lids.
-
Another brutal sneezing spell.
And one (1) Benadryl... down the hatch. Bottoms up. Cheers. etc.
-
What is it about Middletown politicians? Rep. Candice Keller needs her thumbs taped to her forehead and someone needs to break her phone.

Good luck.

I have returned from seeing Dr. Cohen. I liked him very much. My surgery will be on Sept. 12, time to be determined.
-
Good news. Vibes the surgery solves your issues.

Early vibes, Elmore.

I ushered last night for the closing of the film festival. One of the movies, Ernie and Joe, was a fascinating documentary about two San Antonio cops hired by the city’s new program to treat the mentally ill like humans, not criminals. The program has since been picked up by a growing number of cities.
-
I didn’t see all of the film, which HBO will air in November, but I was riveted by what I did see. So was the full house.
-
The other film was a semi-charming, overly cliched teen comedy called Valerie’s Holiday, about a geeky girl who passes herself off as her glamorous twin sister. Some nice music and good performances but a lousy script.
-
Never turn your back on a cat! I just did, and turned back to find Stella drinking water out of my water glass.
My niece has one cat (out of her four) that LOVES to drink out of people's glasses, so she keeps a glass of water on the kitchen table at all times just for that one cat and helps to keep the cat out of other people's glasses...not entirely, but mostly. ;)
-
The other favorite food for that cat was cantaloupe.
Very strange. My niece's chickens love watermelon and grapes. She's tried other fruit, but those two are the most favored.

Let’s move on...
-
Trois!
-
I'm up, I'm up - a little over eight hours of sleep.
-
Monday afternoon greetings from HOME! My sister arrived Saturday morning where I was staying in the Detroit ‘burbs and we had a nice 48 hours together. On Sunday we attended the big picnic for our high school’s 1950s and 1960s classes. We were both on the road by 10 this morning to our respective homes.
-
Of course, our weekend was dampened a bit by the awful news from El Paso and Dayton.
DR Ginny, what is this "Oregon" area in Dayton? I don't remember ever hearing any part of Dayton called that when I left Ohio!
It’s primarily several square blocks around Fifth Street, east of downtown. It was designated a historic district in the mid 1970s. Not far from the library where I worked.
-
What is it about Middletown politicians? Rep. Candice Keller needs her thumbs taped to her forehead and someone needs to break her phone.
Our state representative :P
And our neighbor :P :P
-
Ubered to Hugo's and had a nice lunch meeting - I had the barbecue turkey sandwich, which came with a tiny version of the Caesar salad.
-
Walked a mile to the mail place, picked up packages, and Ubered home.
-
Now doing work on the computer, and preparing a new release announcement.
-

It sounds like a wonderful program.

Good afternoon.
-
Joshie used to dip his paw in a glass to get a drink. So I just put a glass on the floor for him.
-
We went for a 5 mile walk this afternoon, keeping mostly in the shade.

Show off.

If you want showing off....I did 3 miles on the treadmill this morning and Keith went farther on the cross trainer. The advantages of being retired.

Hello, everyone.
-
My morning started by learning that someone decided to use my credit card for his expenses. Yes, we've all been through this. Yes, I know I'm not responsible for the charges and I have other cards I can use, but it is still annoying. I do a LOT of online shopping and that number is embedded several places. That's the tricky part. Sigh.

DR Laura, I can understand your discomfort over guns in public places. Do many other Arizonians share your concerns?

It is very frustrating and very annoying when this happens. Will your credit card company overnight you a new card?
-

Awww.
-
We keep mugs of water next to our bed, mugs with lids. We purchased these years ago to protect our water from the cats.
-
After taking care of the errant credit card I picked up my prescriptions for next week's surgery, went to the bank, and then went to my favorite taco jernt for some tacos.
-
I'm trying out a little mom-and-pop pharmacy. Actually, I think it's just the pop--no mom. So far, the phone has been answered promptly and the staff has been courteous. My prescriptions were ready when they said they would be. They aren't open on Sundays, but I'll live with that in order to obtain courteous, efficient service. My experiences with Rite-Aid were horrendous. The pharmacists there were rushed off their feet and often short-tempered as a result. I have no desire to return.

No. Discover will, but this is Chase. I requested it, but they only use UPS. They said 1-2 days. It could be a quick as overnighting in, if UPS is prompt. I'm not counting on it.

It is really a lovely day here today--70s and a healthy breeze. Clear skies.
-
TTFN.

As you know, I don't like many of the old boys in terms of classical composers - I'm pretty much an 1890s forward guy, although I do very much like Brahms and even some Chopin, too. So, 'splain why I'm kind of enjoying the Schubert symphonies? Then 'splain why so many of these composers died in their early 30s.

That is a shame about Rite-Aid. The one in Ashland was very nice.

Just spent an hour trying to figure out how Ben Bagley screwed up the inlay card on the CD we're reissuing. Seventeen tracks on the CD. Sixteen on the LP version. Everything off, time-wise. I finally realized he combined the first two tracks on the LP but listed them separately on the CD, which then threw everything else off. I gotta tell you, the guy was NUTS. But one of the benefits of redoing these is fixing all his mistakes.

That's pretty cool, BK...about the fixing of his mistakes, not all the hassle you have to go through to do that.

Time to leave work.
Be back later.

My deepest sympathies.

Can't explain the early death, but Schubert is, as Cole Porter might have said, easy to love.

It is very irritating. Vibes you get everything straightened out soon.

Starting to watch Klute. Jane Fonda is amazing. It think it's 45 years since I saw this movie.
-
The Bagley mistakes - I wasn't going through our initial releases carefully, so who knows what escaped on those, but everything after the third and fourth, when I found him mis-spelling, mis-titling things, I began to have to check each show - sometimes he'd credit the wrong show and people used to believe this stuff. But it's good to have it correct.
-
I dozed off for about forty-five minutes. Now listening to music - upset tummy a bit, so I took a Pepcid.

Man, my tummy is really kind of nauseous, this whole evening. In addition to my lunch, all I've eaten was some ice cream and a few pistachio nuts.

I took another Pepcid and hope it starts working.

I went out tonight with Stephanie
-
She and I worked together fir 12 years at the last place
-
Oddly enough we also worked together, but only fir about a week at my previous place
-
She worked wher I am now before we were both at the last place
-
She lived it there but had to leave to care guests her husband when he had terminal cancer
-
She was the one who actually found the job listing and encouraged me to apply
-
Did I say encouraged?
-
Perhaps I should say ordered
-
The one who recommended your current job to you.
-
Nay, threatened me with dire consequences if I did not
-
I wasn't fast enough posting that I remembered who she is, by her good deed, not her name.
-
I believe her exact words were " if you don't apply forthis job I will lose all respect for you and never speak to you again as long as we live"
-
Nay, threatened me with dire consequences if I did not
:D
-
I believe her exact words were " if you don't apply forthis job I will lose all respect for you and never speak to again as long as we live"
Bless her 😊
-
We have texted and spoken on the phone a few times since December but we haven't been able to arrange a meeting
-
But tonight we met at a nice restaurant near where she lives and had a delicious dinner followed by.....
-
Paint nite!
-
Dang it says my photo is too large
-
Paging DR George
-
Well it's on FB
-
Dinner was fantastic
-
Jane would have hated it
-
Perfectly cooked rare filet mignon so tender and juicy..with a little Demi glace and a few capers
Sautéed mushrooms, buttery, just the slightest hint of garlic and lemon and I think rosemary....( but I wouldn't swear to the last)
And the masked pirates...
-
Masked pirates?!!!
-
Autocorrect is delusional
-
Masked pirates
-
It did it again!!
-
Puréed potatoes
-
Ok apparently my autocorrect doesn't like masked
-
Are you kidding me?
-
M a s h e d
-
Well they were really, really good
-
We had so much fun tonight, I have really missed her
-
We have promised to get together more often
-
I believe her exact words were " if you don't apply forthis job I will lose all respect for you and never speak to again as long as we live"
:))
-
Paging DR George
Hang on...I'll see what I can do.
-
This should work!
-
Whew!
-
And since we're so close...
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!!
-
I like both of your paintings, Vixmom. I will say that (to me) the moon in Stephanie's painting looks like the Death Star from Star Wars.
::)
-
;)
-
I fell sdleep for a little bit.
-
Paging DR George
:D
-
The mushrooms and mashed potatoes sound good.
-
Very nice photo Vixmom. The paintings are also nice.
-
'night
-
This should work!
You are a genius!!!
-
Thanks for posting the picture, George.
-
Stephanie stuck to the script hers is very like the instructor's.
-
Good evening.

-
Well the alarm goes off in ....
