Well, you've read the notes, the notes were those kind of notes, and now it is time for you to post until those kind of cows come home.

DR JRand65, I followed your instructions and tossed three pennies onto my dad's property on my way out of town yesterday.

I also discovered one possible reason for its not selling: where the fat hell is the For Sale sign?  My brothers could at least drive by to check out the scene. Oy!

TOD:

Although I love fruit, I don't love berries all that much. They're my least favorite. I'll eat them when they're mixed up in a fruit salad and can't be avoided. I've had blueberries, strawberries and raspberries and feel pretty much the same about all of them. The later two are just a little too tart for me. But I know blueberries and acai berries have great anti-oxidant properties, so I buy concentrated acai berry, pomegranate and blueberry juices and mix them together, add water, and that's my morning juice every morning. It doesn't taste great, but it's not too bad either. And, yes, it is ridicously expensive.

I've met friends I've not seen in over 10 years for breakfast and I have returned to put away this morning's laundry and prepare for a visit from my friend Peter this afternoon.  He will help me get my new Mac up and running.  This afternoon, he will stop by and see if I have everything in the way of cables and equipment to set up the new one.

Every pew was packed, and the choir loft was even full with the overflow

Ryan loved to sing and the service included many of his favorite hymns.  It was supposed to run an hour and because of all the people who had memories to share it lasted 2 1/2 hours and it was not a moment too long.

John McGlinn's memorial ran nearly three hours. Once folk start talking, reminiscing, singing, you never know.

I'll almost be glad when Monday gets here because I seem to be running around all weekend.

Wasn't going to do it, but got up in time to drive down the street to the local library's fall book sale.  Came back with an armload of what I'm pretty sure are MINT copies of c-1960s plays on LP:  a couple of Old Vic Shakespeare productions, The Glass Menagerie with Julie Harris (replaces one I used to have), a Columbia recording of Shakespeare excerpts with Gielgud, and several other nice things.  They're giving these things away for $1 each -- not per disc, per set!

Guess I'll go do some errands and whatnot.  I really don't like things like weddings (I like them, but from afar), but we must do what we must do.  It could be worse - it was for the idiot squirrel who thought taking a dip in the hot tub was a good idea.  Note to squirrel: You're dead now and floating in my hot tub - it wasn't a a good idea.  There I will leave the idiot squirrel because if I fish him out and dump in the trash can it will smell up the whole yard.  Pool man comes next Wednesday and he'll attend to it.

Facebook problems vis a vis Time Warner are back.  This coincided with them tweeting me trying to get me to give them my account number.  I explained that it was working and there was no need - he pressed on.  I explained that it was working and there was no need and that my point was that TWC should acknowledge the problems on the phone.  That got no response.  Then Facebook suddenly wasn't working.  I tweeted again, basically saying "Call me paranoid, but it was working fine prior to you conversing with me."  But many reports still of the problem, so obviously TWC is too inept to actually fix it.

I like that show.....I would like the movie EXCEPT I don't like Ray Walston, and the camera doesn't love Gwen Verdon....and her "baby talk" drives me crazy.

Then I decided to finally get out the screen windows and door for the gazebo. I've had them in the garage for the past I don't know how long a couple years at least.  I was going to fix them all and paint them and just never got around to it. So,   I fixed the door and one of the screens then decided to just put them all up and slap on some paint.  I can take them down one at a time and really fix them, but it's nice to have them up again. Looks better

Any and all berries. Big faves are raspberries, gooseberries, currants, Texas dewberries and, if you consider then a berry, cherries. (I don't but some do.)

Best way to serve is with a lot of heavy cream poured over them. I honestly don't think there's a finer dessert on the planet.
