DR George, kudos on the new pic. It is extremely sharp on my monitor. I guess with others changing their pics, I need to take down the old camera and snap a more recent shot of me. I'll work on that this next week.
Yes she's done with school for the year. Her lowest mark was A-. Not bad.
This was all completed with a zucchini that I sauteed, with just a pinch of Chinese five-spice powder.
Your a Good Mum, You is.
(My Father would have groused "Why the minus?".)
Thank you for all the good vibes for DD Rachel. I'll pass them on. She's taking two weeks off from her summer job, coming to LA and getting lots of rest - which is about all you can do for Mono. The doctor told her not to play contact sports (to protect her spleen). As she wouldn't know a contact sport if she tripped over one, this is not a hard direction to follow.
Good night, all.
Jane - - Yes she's done with school for the year. Her lowest mark was A-. Not bad.
Personally, I love preparing omelets. Mostly, because it's really difficult to mess up. Scramble some eggs, chop some stuff up, grate some cheese...or not.
I hope the newspaper where I got the photo doesn't mind me stealing it. It is a picture of my very own self, after all!
....I like to have a Spam Sandwich on white bread with Velveeta Cheese....
I guess I married good, huh?
Try adding sautéd chicken livers.
Or for a tad more elegance you could try the speciality of the chef of Norma's at the Le Parker Meridien in NYC:
The omelet, which debuted May 5 and is billed as the "Zillion Dollar Frittata" (http://www.kron.com/Global/story.asp?S=1873189) has six eggs, a lobster and -- here's the kicker -- 10 ounces of sevruga caviar.
Dave Letterman had the chef prepare one for him for his show. When the chef arrived and grandly presented Dave with plate, Letterman casually picked up a bottle of Ketchup...well, you get the picture!
der Brucer (who enjoyed the picture of George's soul)
LOL.....sometimes I feel as though I were in prison...doing a musical, ya know.
P.S. Good job vibes to my lovely wife Betsy, who has managed to pull off the near-impossible and has two, count 'em, two job offers on the table. We are in fact about to drop her off downtown for a meeting with the Board of one job who has made her an offer (later this afternoon we get to the good stuff--the actual salary/benefits), and another high-profile job with the State of Oregon is awaiting her if this one doesn't work out. I guess I married good, huh?
...(Woody always punishes "prefabricated product" by add some loving and labor intensive twist - Hamuger Helper gets the royal treatment with fresh roasted Red Bell Peppers, fresh mushrooms, and lots of fresh hopped herbs)"Hamuger" Helper isn't even allowed in the door any more. I can do much better on my own. Give me some burger, a can of tomatoes, and a decent pantry, and there's no telling what I can come up with! ;D
....to the next page. which is only two more posts after this one. George - if you're actually there - it's just the two of us. How about a nice post on toast?
George: That last picture looks like Kentucky...
Oh, and by the way, Jane m'dear:
I'm, like, the biggest sci-fi geek in the world. Okay, maybe not the biggest, since I've never seen the Stargate teevee show, but I'm still pretty damned big.
Uhhh....mebbe I should re-phrase that last phrase. Oh, the heck with it.
I've done some Google research on Mono. It's surprising how prevalent it still is - especially among college students. Any experience with Mono out there - either personally or kids or friends?
I guess we should expect you to put the disposable camera to "god use" Jose but couldn't one of the underlings do the honours.
Had my second virus laden (but destroyed) email this morning. It was Purported to be from a Hainsie with whom I have never communicated by email so my address book is not just being used to select a name at random. DR Jay has had similar problems. Is this happening to anyone else on the board? I don't think my email contact is available through my profile.
I'd do hope DR Panni's daughter is not replaced with detachable speakers. Is that the punishment for that A- grade?
I'm trying to get thru Harry Potter #2. But I'm falling asleep. I think it's too long!
I haven't decided where I'm going to put the Blue Playbills...I'm running out of wall space!Pornographic Playbills! What will they think of next! :o ;D

I believe it's one of those "combo Nathan's/Pizza Hut/Dunkin'Donuts/Baskin-Robbins/etc... But there is a Nathan's there.
Thank you, Jose, you have made me a very happy man (and with your clothes still on).
Der Brucer wants Salisbury steak for dinner tonight. Great idea, but they really need mashed potatoes, and we don't have the right kind of taters for mashed, and he's busy watching television reruns. Oh, what to do, what to do!
Real estate prices in Los Angeles have gone insane. While out and about today, I saw an Open House sign at a new condo development in the hood (Studio City). It proclaimed on a handwritten poster that Only Two were left. I went in out of curiosity. The building is on a busy street (Whitsett), with a Garage that specializes in Emission Testing a few doors down. The condo I saw was really quite ugly - narrow, tiny kitchen, nothing elegantly finished. Three stories - small rooms - no outdoor areat at all (unless you count little balconies that face other buildings). Price: $535,000!
Panni, I will be surprised if the ugly condo's sell for that price.
Ask him to go out and get some? He's setting up the VCR to tape what he'll miss! (He's hooked on Law & Order, SUV Unit. Or whatever it's called.)
I also found out he was teasing me, the wedding does not take place in the sky. ;D
Danise - I've never before heard of using Coke in quite the way you're using it. I bet DR Sandra would use Cherry Coke - giving the beef an interesting flavor to be sure.
Well, I'm getting tired of seeing my face (as I'm sure you are) - so I shall take a dinner and tidy up break. Keep those cards and letters coming, all you wonderful people out there in the dark.
I'm never tired of seeing your face, Panni.
I'm glad you got to see your son, Ann. I would hope Jay is wrong about what he told him. That might prove to be a bit difficult. ;)

Seldom have my expectations for a movie been set so high by its trailer than in the case of The Stepford Wives. I thought the trailer's montage--done in a slick advertising style--of classy men's accessories, concluding with a shot of a smiling Nicole Kidman, was absolutely brilliant. For the record, none of the footage from the trailer--and none of its brilliance--appear in the film.
...scrambled eggs...
Michael: POOP was slated for an Off-Broadway production, but due to creative conflicts between the composer and the proposed producers, the production was called off. They later had a reading in NYC with several Equity actors that I was actually asked to be a part of (the week after I did MOBY DICK), but I declined because of the time constraints and lack of pay. Barrett Foa took my place. Bill Russell (of SIDE SHOW and ELEGIES...QUEENS) directed. Soon thereafter, the composer and lyricist/librettist had a major rift and haven't spoken to each other since.
(I found a disposable black and white camera while I was putting things away and started putting it to god use.)
MERDE!
It's Jewish THIGHS on Broadway. I think Jewish THINGS on Broadway is about chorus boys, but I could be wrong...

Also went on AOL and their Entertainment news reads: Ray Charles & J.Lo's secret wedding top the week's headlines
Talking of Miss Stritch: Saw the DA Pennebaker documentary on her and the creation of her show. Since I saw the show live in NYC and have the DVD of the complete show. I thought there was too much on stage stuff and not enough backstage stuff about the creation or about what makes Miss Stritch tick off stage.
Oh yes also watched Spy Kids 3D movie. Interesting 3D but that's about it. Doesn't anyone remember the movie TRON? I still think that movie was ahead of its time in terms of special effects and concept. That's why no one remembers it: it was too far ahead of it's time!
Jane - So sorry to hear about Echo. But she certainly couldn't possibly have a more loving and caring family.I shall thus leave it to a writer to express my thoughts at this time. Thanks Panni. Well writ.
And I didn’t make you happy for telling it was there in the first place, TCB? Well, I feel like chopped liver. ;) :'(
May real estate prices in LA stay insane until I'm ready to sell my house and move back to Kentucky.Better they stay insane until after you have sold and moved!
I have also ordered her book Jewish Things on Broadway. And currently reading the novel the Biograph girl what seemed interesting but is starting to be a drag.
RE: Broadway Bares - I've never been to one in person, but I've seen some of the tapes. And I've had friends in the show too! It's a great way to raise for funds for BC/EFA, and have a great, sexy time too.

I'm a one-woman posting frenzy again. To those who objected to my previous remark re my visage, thanks, flattery will get you everywhere, but I'm still sick of my face.
Before said face disappears for a bit, I just want to remark on the choice posts ce soir. Very funny and ever so clever and witty and bright -- as befits the best site on the whole fershluganah Internet.
Are we really sure that Panni and BK are two different people? Or are they just two different people?
