Well, you've read the notes, the notes were mutant notes, and now it is time for you to post until the mutant cows come home.

Good morning, all!

I have another ordeal at the NYU Dental Clinic this morning, and I will head out around 7:30 for the trek. I hope it's not too horrendous. After that, I'm back to my desk. I doubt I will finish the act one finale today, but I'd like to get as far as possible today.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes for DR TCB, Cillaliz, and All Travails today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TOD: A roasted chicken with crisp skin on top and moist meat underneath. You can dress it up by sliding truffle slivers under the skin or butter or mushrooms. But it's the chicken that matters most.
I've noticed too many chickens of late like the one BK described. I think it's the way we produce our chickens. Or mass produce them.
Monday morning greetings!  After my 2.5 hour nap yesterday afternoon, I still managed to sleep well last night, but woke up quite early.  That's OK, because I have several things to do before Richard and I head to Cincinnati to see The Double Hour, an Italian film that we heard reviewed on the radio yesterday.
In other news... Well...
I need to get ready to head in for my Oklahoma! prep/production meeting. It's going to be a purely "musical" one, and, thankfully, the conductor wants to limit it to four hours so we don't get too overloaded with details by the end of the day. -And then it looks like I'll be having dinner with some friends from New York City who happen to be down this week for some sight-seeing, show-seeing and restaurant-going.
TOD:
I actually had a very tasty chicken dish at a restaurant Saturday evening--a grilled chicken penne pasta salad with artichoke hearts and roasted peppers in a very delish garlic wine sauce.  The odd thing was the waiter offering to sprinkle fresh grated Parmesan on it, which in my mind didn't work.  I declined his offer.
Thanks, DR Jose - have you seen it?
First, I'm off to deliver another batch of stuff to the garage sale site and a package to the post office - bye for now!
Wasn't The Mutant Chicken a Bert I Gordon movie from 1967?
I am back, having delivered some items to the garage sale site and having NOT mailed a package at our local post office.  There were probably a dozen people in line, only one of 4 service points working (slowly, at that), and it was hot as you-know-what.  My friend in Tulsa can wait for her bookmarks and reading-themed note cards.  I'll go to the Monroe PO today or Franklin tomorrow.
We had a tremendous thunder storm Saturday night at THE MUSIC MAN followed by torrential rains....so it was very IOWA-like to be sure.
Yesterday's Celebration of a Life went very well....I ALMOST made it through my talk.....only about 5 minutes or so, but the end was very difficult.
Nice music, Ernie's son Jim, a NY Actor, read some Shakespeare, his wife talked about him, Father Bill from the Episcopal church gave a nice remembrance, and I was last.
Then the floor was opened for thoughts, which is always a crap shoot.....but the majority of the people were very nice to hear.
