Back from delivering elements to a lab, banking, a lunch meeting, picking up three count them three packages, writing, and am now listening to a soundtrack that's a possibility for us.

On behalf of Jews everywhere, may I simply say Anthony Weiner is a dick.

DR JRand - I'm so glad the celebration of Ernie's life went so well.  And I'm really enjoying your backstage photos from THE MUSIC MAN!
Ditto.

DR Ginny - Enjoy "La Doppia Ora".

Thanks, DR Jose - have you seen it?

DR Ginny - I haven't seen it, but it's currently at The Quad in NYC and a friend of mine wants to see it later this week.

Meeting vibes for DR JOSE.

Thank You, DR JRand.

My meeting/work session went very well. It actually went a little better than I thought it would especially since I thought I was a bit under-prepared for today. But, as it turned out, that was sort of a good thing. We basically did a play-thru of the score, and along the way I asked questions about tempos and visual cues. We took about two hours to cover the first half of the show - well, up to the Ballet - then broke for lunch. Then we took another two hours after lunch to finish the show. It was very productive and informative session.

As it turned out, two friends of mine drove down from NYC this afternoon for mini-getaway. We had planned to get together for dinner tonight, but since they got in a little later than expected, we just ended up walking around for a bit. Then once I guided them to a restaurant that caught their eyes and their stomachs, Pesce, I headed to the Metro for the ride back out to Fairfax.

As it turned out, it was a good thing that I did not join them for dinner since the Orange Line was going to start "single-tracking" tonight due to some track work in Virginia. -I believe I caught the last outbound train before they started running just every 30 minutes.

In the continuing saga of our HD TV that died a premature death, we received a call on Friday from the repair shop that told us it would cost more to repair than replace.  They were getting ready to dispose of it and noticed a sticker on the back that says our warranty expires on 8-15-11.  Miraculously, Richard and I were able to put our hands on all the paperwork and he called Target today.  They're sending a box to ship it to them and we're hoping for a gift card in the amount of our purchase price.  We've been to the repair shop and picked up the set and on the way I mailed my package at the Franklin PO.

Now that's some Serendipity, DR Ginny!

Doesn't CIRCUS BOY star Mickey Dolenz?

Shocking about Andrew Gold--hope Marni is OK.

It's been a little weird(?) reading about the passing of Andrew Gold the past few hours. He died on Friday, and I could have sworn I saw reports about his death over the weekend. But all the major news services started carrying the news today. ??? -Who knows? Maybe I just saw it RTd - Re-Tweeted - so many times on Twitter that I thought I saw it posted over the weekend.

Anthony Wiener has just announced in a press conference that he's been a complete ass and that he is indeed guilty of lying to the public and behaving in moronic behavior. He is not resigning, though. One more politician down the chute!

I just can't believe how carelessly stupid he was with sending out all of those pics. I believe it was Gawker that had a great analysis of one of the shirtless pics he sent out... from his home office! The pic only shows him from the chin down, but in the background there are pics of him and Bill Clinton, as well as a picture of him and his wife.

And, of course, all the news services are pulling out all the remaining puns regarding his last name. ;)
