Finally got amazon payments on the phone and they reset the password for the kickstarter account and all is well.  Since I only use four passwords online, I find it weird that none of them worked when trying to log on last night.  But it's fine now.  From what I can tell they've collected all but about three hundred bucks of the total amount.  Hopefully the rest will show up today.  Then I can access it in fourteen days.

Monday morning greetings!  I had a great night's sleep and woke up without an alarm at 7:30 - very refreshing.

Thank you to DRs George, Jose, and Jennifer for the congrats for DS Rob.

Of course, the weather is supposed to start to take a very hot and humid turn today, but, still, it's a day off. :)

I woke up with a slight headache this morning. The humidity is higher (it really dried out last week), so maybe there will be a storm coming. I hope so.

Still no word from the shelter on surgeries for the kittens.

Nothing like the humidity the rest of the country gets. But it is getting closer to what we need to have a storm.

DR Laura, when my Mom lived in Phoenix she'd call and complain about how muggy it was - "The humidity's 12!" - she'd say.

I'd just laugh.

I'm up and have been having a very frustrating morning which I need to be OVER NOW!  I went to send the eBlast only to find it's the one thing I hadn't prepped.  I was sure I had, but no.  So, I had to announce on the FSM board, then hurry and do the eBlast thing and get that out, and then I'd gotten an e-mail from amazon payments about the Kickstarter thing but I can't get into my payments account because my usual password isn't working and I can't figure out what the HELL is going on - so I called and talked to a nice guy but he couldn't help because I have to talk to someone in the payments department - he switched me over to find they don't arrive until seven - so they're supposed to call me at seven - since I doubt that will be happening, I'll probably have to call them back.  It's been like that since I arose at six.  AOL via mac mail is being retarded and won't let me respond to any e-mails, so I have to log on to AOL to do it and that's REALLY annoying.

Me, too! I printed out the Overture and Finale Ultimo and found the corrections I thought had been made had not. A frustrating waste of my morning. So, I have to go back tomorrow. Damn!

And, if you want to include comics, then I also enjoyed Don Rickles, Buddy Hackett and Jack Carter in Vegas.

And, Howard Keel put on a great show with Kathryn Grayson.

Was that the Show on the Boat?

The weekend was alarmingly short.

I look forward to the day when the only reason I care about what day it is has to do with a TV show or event I want to watch.

LOL! Well, it's 29%, which is higher than yesterday's 8%. The dew point is 59 degrees. Yesterday it was about 30 degrees. So hopefully we are setting up for a storm today or tomorrow.

We had a small amount of rain following the haboob. But monsoon storms are a quick dump of rain that only lasts about ten minutes. So even if it rains hard, it isn't much water.

I just stuck my head out the front door to put some mail out for pick-up and it's hot, humid, and smoggy out there.  Good day to stay inside in the AC!

TOD:

Number me among those with little actual cabaret experience.  I've seen Bobby Short and Linda Ronstadt when she was trying out her jazz standards stuff.  I enjoyed them both.

Back from the lab - very interesting lessons today about de-graining, sharpening, and the resultant artifacts.  I viewed the first twelve minutes of Nudie just to make sure I was happy with the cleanup and I was, so this transfer is now officially done.  The guy who does the grain stuff viewed it with me and he thought it was fine the way it was.

Apparently, AOL did some sort of update a week ago and naturally AOL being AOL completely screwed up their remote servers (which is what mac mail uses) so their servers have been glitching repeatedly, which is why I cannot send mail for the last four hours.  Ridiculous.  I have to log into bloody aol.com every time I need to respond to something.

I must say that as of now the orders for Divorce, American Style are very disappointing.  I hope that changes.
