Well, you've read the notes, the notes were out of touch, and now it is time for you to post until the out of touch cows come home.

I think I have a long day ahead of me. I say "think" because according to the schedule I'm looking at, it appears that I start at 9:00am, and then end at 8:00pm. However, that also includes a one hour lunch break, the two-hour dance call (which I don't play) and the hour and a half dinner break. Not too bad. I hope. ;)

Good morning. So far, this very highly-hyped three-day downpour of rain has left me 0.00 inches of rain.

It is a bright and sunny lovely fall day -  the tribute ceremony is being conducted at the former site of the Towers --- they are reciting the names of the lost and the TV brings up that persons photo, name town and age

I cannot watch anymore... I must go to church

I also have a memorial service for an old friend  who passed away recently   it will be a day of remembrance---

my prayers today are with all that grieve that they may receive solace especially our own dear John G

Good morning, all! I slept well and I slept late. I will not venture too far from the apartment today, and I hop to accomplish some work here. At some point I will trn on the television but I do not want to get caught up in too much 9/11 reportage.

Last night I watched a charming, funny, very sexy adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's ST. IVES with a wonderful cast. I've never read the story, which was completed by Arthur Quller Couch since Stevenson died before finishing it, but the film has a lot of sass and an excellent cast.

Yesterday I was truly angry over the macinery problems at Toyland and I was quite vitriolic about my talented friend Curtis, whose talents as a writer, performer, and technical whiz continue to amaze me.  Frustrated as I was, I do care for him enormously as a friend and wish him all the best. I hope that he and I will continue to work together for many years to come and I wish he'd get back to the States because I need his help on several projects!

I cannot watch any of the coverage today, until I return from the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony....it will be hard enough to get through.

I've been watching the 9/11 ceremonies.

Very moving, but one can only watch them for so long without getting totally depressed.

Good morning. I woke up much earlier than I planned, but I was awake so I got up and have watched all the 9-11 ceremonies and observed the moments of silence.  I was surprised how raw my emotions still are.  I had forgotten how early everything was over...well the attacks were over.  Since we were all waiting to see what happens next, it seems like the attacks lasted all day.

I cannot watch coverage on TV or read coverage online - in the old days of Huntley and Brinkley I might have, but I cannot do so with any of the news people today or with the way news departments put these stories together.

I'm teary-eyed, too.  BUT,  I have returned from church where I sang Irving Berlin's "God Bless America."  (and teared up there, too).  We even had a piper (as in bagpiper) there as well; I haven't heard a piper since my days at CMU.

So, where were you on that morning?  I was awakened by a telephonic call from Vinnie, my engineer, telling me to turn on the TV and that it was the end of the world.
