And I think I'm going to lay my little head on my pillow, and drop off to sleep.  I slept very badly last night, so I'm hoping that tonight will be much more restful.

Goodnight lovelies....studlies.... vixens....sirens....pixies.....vamps,...... E.A.F.A.'s ........and orchestrators!

Someone left my pancakes in the rain
I don't understand this riddle
'Cause I left 'em on the griddle
And I'll never have that recipe again.

The people at NYMF have given us another day to figure out exactly what we're doing, so we'll know for sure tomorrow whether the production of Last Starfighter will be part of NYMF this year.

DR Jane, I love animals, and have a cat named Bella.  She is an old lady now - just turned 17.  :o  Quite beautiful, and very loving.  I will try to attach a photo of her.

A beautiful lady.

And of course, you have to watch what you say when you have house seats - you never know who's sitting near you.  :)

And not just in house seats. Woody and I were making "appreciative" comments about John Barrowman in "Puting It Together" - during intermission, his most understanding Mother, seated behind us, offered us a hanky to wipe off the drool.

Well, we have probably had all the storm we are getting tonight. Still windy, but the lightening is on DR MusicGuy's side of town now. It sprinkled just enough to dampen part of the sidewalk but not wet it all.

Back from A Night at the Operetta at Town Hall, and just checking in.  The evening featured about a dozen performers who performed songs from musicals that could be classified as operetta.  Milla sang a number in the first act called "Giannini Mia," and then joined with the entire cast for the finale, "Toyland."  She sounded great!  Scott Siegel announced from the stage to the whole audience that Milla had a new CD out.

I can't figure out how to resize the photo I want to use as my avatar.  I can get it under the 110 X 150 maximum size limit, but can't reduce the file to no more than the maximum 20KB.  Can anyone help me do this, or point me in the right direction?  Thanks!

Well.. I saw it twice already.  Last Wednesday - both the matinee and evening shows.  And it looks like I'll be seeing it at least two more times before the run ends.

I might not be able to contain myself to just two visits, either.

Ah, I believe that shot is from the long-aborning Limelight, (one of) the Charlie Chaplin musical(s) when it was presented up at New York Stage & Film.  I was up there that summer with Dangerous Beauty, and Luther was in the dorm room next to mine.

It was also presented, with Luther, as one of the NYMF shows last year, called Behind The Limelight.  It was actually my favorite NYMF show last year, with The Tragic and Horrible Life of the Singing Nun being my other favorite.

I hope I get to New York again and meet you Julie. We can go to the theatre with Ben and Anthony.  I sometimes need to stand to see the curtain calls too!

Just let me know when you're coming this way again, DR Tomovoz, and we'll get the plans started.

Thanks to DR FJL, Colin and I were also able to experience the pleasure of the Singing Nun.  A memorable night for us. Company and show.

My cousin has a friend in Alaska. She took a walk this morning through her neighborhood and this is what she saw...a baby moose, less than 12 hours old.

That's the most adorable thing!

I think the LEGALLY BLONDE groupies should be called Elle's Angels.  I tried to get this started on another board, and I'll try it here as well.  :)

Or they could be called Bruisers.  -- Love that little dog.

The picture is a photo of a portrait (of me) that my niece drew when she was 10.  Sort of Picasso-esque in style, but I really like it.

Julie, if you need help, there are several of us who have experience resizing pictures for avatars. :)

Thanks, DR George!
I posted the picture I want to use within a message, but I can email it to someone if that would be better.  I appreciate any help!

I watched the last 10 minutes and already caught one deleted scene - the one with Simple's corpse in the jail - they go from the phone call awaking Brenda right to Gabriel entering her office  the next day (40 secs cut).

CLOSER SEASON 2 SPOILER ALERT:

I wish I'd been home in time to watch and see what else they cut. It's funny that they cut this particular scene, because last season, Episode 3 I think, "Slippin'"---about the 3 teenagers shot in the car---she interrogated the valet and he went to jail. I was cutting the promos from dailies and there was a scene where the valet hangs himself in the same manner and Brenda and Gabriel visit the jail and see the scene. (He may have apologized to his mother, too, I'll have to check).

When I saw this scene in "Ruby", I figured that they still liked the idea of this scene las year and now they were finally able to do it. But I guess it was still expendable after all.
