DR RonPulliam, are you going to be able to post while you are visiting family for two weeks?

Well...it's time for me to leave work.  I need to go home for a few minutes to make sure I'm recording any shows that I might want to watch because tonight I'm going to see a local production of Scrooge, produced by Capital Playhouse.  I have season tickets.  Be back late. :)

Time to get dinner together.

Leftover lamb, with mushroom gravy, mashed taters, and carrots.

Watching SINGIN' IN THE RAIN on TCM.  Never get tired of it....dignity always dignity!

Donald O'Conner amazes me every time!  And Friend of DR MARIA, Debbie Reynolds becomes a major STAR before our eyes...and Jean Hagen...Wow!

Some other egocentric guy is also in it, but he shall go unnamed in this post.

Yes, my NEW MasterCard arrived yesterday, so last night at about midnight I went over to WalMart and looked at computers.

There were many E Machines, but I didn't think I wanted one of them.  I settled on a PC that was not quite as expensive as some of the others....it is one that has Nascar racing cars all over it and some Nascar software installed, but it has a nice 17.5 monitor and some other stuff I need.

So, here I am.

My question....does any DR have the music/lyrics to ONE BOY from Bye Bye Birdie that could be scanned and emailed to me?

"Here's one thing I learned in the movies!"

LOL

Earlier today I watched THE PRIVATE WAR OF MAJOR BENSON, written about by MR BK some weeks ago.  I particularly liked the moment when Major Benson (Charlton Heston) is being escorted through the military school in Santa Barbara (!) by the Mother Superior.

She stops and points out the painting of the founder of the school.

"He was canonized in 1843," she says solemnly.

Major Benson stops a moment and replies:  "Oh.  Too bad."

I watched SEAL ISLAND when I went back downstairs. It looks very, very good, and it was such a pleasure to see it after all these years. True to the spirit of the other films in the series, the writers manage to make little "human" interest stories out of this nature footage. Really quite remarkable that they can do this so consistently and so well.

I'm pretty sure I have the book of piano selections so that I could do it for you. Let me know if someone hasn't already done it for you, and I'd be glad to do it or at least TRY to do it. :D

I had about thirty minutes before the start of prime time TV, so I watched another TWILIGHT ZONE episode. This one was from the second season, and was one of the six videotaped episodes from that season (done to save a little money).

It was "The Lateness of the Hour" with Inger Stevens and John Hoyt. I don't believe I had ever seen it before, and while it was OK, I guessed the "shock" ending before it actually arrived.

BONES had an early Christmas present for Temperence with some communication with her father as she investigated the murder of a former hit man.

I especially enjoyed lab rat Zach defending his doctorial dissertation in front of a panel, one of whom was Kathy Reichs on whom the series is based. Very nice in-joke. And I loved the ending.

Ryan O'Neal was the principal guest star as a priest who conveys the messages from her father to Temperence.

DAY BREAK continued its serpentine path to full disclosure of the conspiracy against the manin character Hopper played by Taye Diggs. It seems as if everyone in his life was in some way connected to this conspiracy to frame him for murder.

But, as I said last week, it certainly keeps me watching. The new information he gleens every week is eye-opening and does move the plot along quickly. We make progress every week in solving the mystery.

Once again, MEDIUM found a way to take its usual premise (Allison's dreams that contain clues to solve mysteries) and do something unusual and perplexing with it. And I enjoyed the discovery of Marie's "gifts." Sweet idea.

I've been sitting with my old fashioned heat pad on my back. I've been wondering where it was for several days. Tonight I was playing with the cats, I looked down and there it was sticking out of a basket. Thanks Callie! I sure wish I knew what caused this nonsense in my neck and back. Hopefully the Chiro can take care of most of it on Friday afternoon.  Time for some Aleve and some sleep. I have a huge day at work tomorrow, starting very early.  Night all
