I've been doing laundry and cleaning. I really wish I could get Brian over here to help me, but he's exposed to people all day and could be a carrier. I don't feel I can risk that.

A wise decision not to have him in.  I wish you could.

I made a roast beef and rice today.  I ate too much and got sleepy and nodded off in the recliner with both Ricky and Boo on my lap.

There was a clap of thunder - not even a loud one - and Boo took of running and jumped into a box I left out for them.  She was so cute...

I have a request.  If any one  of you finds a oral thermometer please buy it for me.  I’ve been looking for one for 2 weeks, the one I thought we had is broken

From the sublime to the ridiculous. I'm now watching Cannibal the Musical. It's really bad. Japanese samurai warriors have somehow entered the picture.

TOD:

I'm not a Vivien Leigh fan. I haven't seen Ship of Fools, though.

I like Lee Marvin in just about anything. In addition to the films mentioned, I would add The Big Red One and The Killers.

Glory be!  Annabelle appears to be for the most part over her last congestion.  I credit the Lysine for that.

Great news, Larry!

Yesterday morning Fed Ex rang my bell.  I was hoping it was the long-delayed Amazon package, but instead it was a post-surgery get well gift of a large number boxes of frozen chicken, pork, and beef from Omaha Steaks.  I called the person responsible and thanked her.  For dinner I had a yummilicious chicken breast smothered in mushrooms with peas and carrots.  I was quite content.

Very nice!

Do you have any other type of thermometer?   If so I suggest taking a baseline temp with it.  Even if it isn't completely accurate you will know if your temperature goes up.

I just went to Amazon to buy more cans of Fancy Feast.  24 cans of Fancy Feast used to cost around $15.00 for 24 3 ounce cans, and that's six days of food.  This morning Amazon is charging double that amount for only 12 cans!

Yikes!! :o

Okay, so I just wrote a little bit and I'm now up to almost 600 of the 1500 words.  I just want to get to the 1500 and then I can futz and finesse until I'm happy with it.

A local theater was going to stage Bright Star starting tonight. Instead, they offer this bit of optimism by way of social distancing. Given the limitations, it’s wonderful.

That was really cool!

Then I went to Costco, which was heavily trafficked, though people were maintaining a didtance. First words out if the greeter’s mouth: Toilet paper this way. Sure enough, they had plenty. One megapack per member.

Finally...I still don't need any, but maybe my local Costco will have some the next time I go.

Watching the second film in the Marseille Trilogy, Fanny. The movie is almost over and I realized that the second billed actor, Pierre Fresnay (Franny's lover Marius), isn't in the movie. Yet his spirit hangs over the whole film.

If the actor isn’t in the movie, how can he be second billed?

I ran several errands. First, I tried to drop off a library book I’d finished, only to discover the drop boxes had been closed off because of the virus. It lives on paper. That likely means I can’t give any books away at the moment.

Right.  I have been reading that.  My brother says he has still been receiving automated notices books on hold can be checked out.  Of course the library is closed.

In my building, we have shelves for people to check out items that they had place holds on.  There were maybe three or four dozen items waiting to be checked out...some people left without checking them out and taking them with them.  ALL items that are checked out have been updated to not be due until May 1.  They could've had them all this time.  Of course, they may not have been at work when the closure happened, so there's that. ::)

The hereticVixdad  had catsup on his hotdogs and refused to countenance even the idea of sauerkraut coming into the vicinity of his catsup slathered franks

I am in complete agreement with Vixdad! ;D
