The article says:

The Wynn Las Vegas announcement of the exclusive run outside New York closing also means the work will be released from its non-touring agreement and be able to be seen regionally. "Audiences and critics love Avenue Q. We look forward to sharing it with theatre audiences around the world," stated producer Kevin McCollum.

The Wynn Corporation will do some work on the establishment and then Spamalot will move in to the Avenue Q Theatre.

Thank you Ron P for explaining further, and if that is the case then yes I applaud the guy for being himself. I guess I was under the impression that he was acting like a jerk or something and being rude to people.

Again, I need to watch me some Olympic coverage and see what is going on in the world! (Usually I only watch the summer Olympics).

Love producer spin, don't you?  Audiences and critics love Avenue Q and yet it is closing a complete bust in Las Vegas.  Uh huh.

Certainly Broadway audiences and critics love the show - other than that, it hasn't proven itself anywhere else.

My great bargin today is Miss Debbie Shapiro Gravitte's album of music by Alan Menken called Part of Your World. There it was, in shrink wrap (I don't know if it's the original shrink wrap because it's easy to re-shrink wrap something) for only $4.99 It is now in my possession and I will listen to it later today.

DR Ben, I love this album!  "Daughter of God" is so great.

Oh, Lordie, Lordie!  The retired cop on the fifth floor who bathes once every decade has left the elevator smelling like a sow in heat one more time.  Why couldn't his New Year resolution been a bath once a week?

I thought the super's wife and I would not survive the trip from basement to the first floor.

My question is not for BK, but for SWoody or Jose or another of our fabulous cooks:

How to you keep pie meringue from getting weepy and from pulling away from the edge of the pie plate?

Done onlining and shall now be on my way to rehearse with Miss Linda Purl.  I made the little shot swap my executive wanted, but she was out of town and won't actually see it until three today - hopefully she'll be jiggy with the replacement shot - I thought it worked really well.

It's A Quiz

Test for Mental Acuity
It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time, and
this should help get you started.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what
the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be
institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to
empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the
bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup.

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you
want a bed near the window?"

My most rewarding role? Well, I adored doing Smudge in FOREVER PLAID. It was SO gratifying to do that show every night hearing all the laughter, the applause, and the audience clearly falling in love with us. I truly think FOREVER PLAID has that effect on an audience.

Georges in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES is the first time I felt the show rested on my shoulders. Yes, Albin is the more flamboyant and outrageous part, but Georges rarely leaves the stage (almost never in the second act) and has to hold court while Albin changes into those many gowns. He also has to go straight from book scenes to cabaret scenes without stopping for breath, and I found that the greatest challenge, but also the most satisfying when the show came to an end. I wasn't given the last bow in LA CAGE; Albin was, but I truly felt the Georges role is the bedrock of the show.

So, I guess the answer is I have two "most rewarding" roles.

I preordered the Fox musicals that are coming out next week: DADDY LONGLEGS, PIN-UP GIRL, and WEEK-END IN HAVANA.

RENT seemed a bit overpriced to me, so I'll look to see if any stores have it on sale next week, and if not, I'll get a used copy later.

Once Rudy Galindo became a singles skater, he toiled mightily trying to break into the upper echelons of the senior men's division. It took him many years for the judges to take him seriously, and I think the year he won his national championship (and finished third in the world), they really had no choice. He skated a perfect program with difficulty to match all the world's best skaters and with an artistry that left them in the dust. (He skated to "Swan Lake" the year he won.)

Skaters' coaches are no different than a boxer's trainer. They are a trained set of eyes who can see problems and offer advice to correct errors that are being made. They also offer a shoulder to cry on and can be a person who's been there and understands what competition is all about. The bond between most coaches and their skaters can be a long one. Though some skaters jump from coach to coach, many stay with one for their entire careers relying on their savvy view of the sport to guide them through a sea of problems.

For all its beauty and majesty, the world of skating is as cutthroat as any other business. If you don't believe it, read INSIDE EDGE. It certainly opened my eyes.

I had an enjoyable afternoon of video watching. I began with an episode from the CSI boxed set from season five. Another gripping case with a father, mother, and five year old all found dead in their home. The answer to the riddle of their deaths was a sad and surprising one.
