Joshie is feeling much better today. Maybe the antibiotic is making the mouth ulcers heal. Or maybe the biopsy spot has healed. He is really liking the canned food.

Wonderful news!!! :D

DR John G - your friend is in my thoughts and prayers.  Having been there myself not long ago, I hope the damage is minimal and the procedure effective.  Please keep us posted.

Jennifer thanks for the reminder not to use hair spray.

I use hairspray all the time.

Since I am very sensitive to scents I am always very careful. I would obviously never spray perfume on myself. And if I try a new hand cream I smell it carefully first (I am usually good for things that are chocolate, mint, fruit...).

I always try on make-up and handcreams at Sephora. And since my hair was unstyled I went for the hairspray. I did even smell it after one spray and I didn't smell anything. But OMG I really thought I was going to die. I couldn't believe it. My head just immediately hurt a lot. :(

Whoops!  My apologies.  When you mentioned going to Sephora yesterday, I assumed it was some kind of Jewish meeting center.

Last night I finished reading NORTH & SOUTH on the Nook and the next page was the beginning of OLIVER TWIST.  Since I have only read it once I am reading it again.  I've also found out where the table of contents is ;D  I wasn't motivated enough last night to search for it limiting my book options.

So...

Aretha Franklin does not have cancer. And, apparently, never did. Hmmm... ???

Not that I'm following the story closely, however, I don't believe she ever said she had cancer.  I thought only certain news writers were reporting she had, or possibly, had cancer.

It is quite an interesting situation. I'm guessing all of those reporters are now going back to see which "doctor" and/or "close personal friend" confirmed the news back then.

Perhaps someone told her that eating would cure cancer!

Sometimes the will is not looked at until some time later. You might want to also write out your wishes regarding your pets and put it with your living will or other important papers where it will be found right away. It may not be a LEGAL document, but at least whoever is around when someone needs to make a decision about your pets would find it. Did that make sense?

Oh everyone knows that Sharry and Michael will be handling Nicky's adoption.  Everyone except my landlord and my minister are aware of my wishes.... And Sharry has the spare key to my apartment.

It's probably temporary. But I'm glad he's feeling better.

Yes.  I've read horror stories of pets being taken to the pound instead of a neighbor or friend taking them.  Of course I suspect where the person lived has something to do with it.

Then there is the story of a neighbor who died and had in the will that the dog was to be euthanized and buried with her.

Your landlord should know because he/she might be the first person into your apartment.

No one wanted to see it happen, Jane. (Another neighbor kept the dog, I believe.)

Good, what a relief.  I could have understood if it was an old sick dog that was overly attached to the woman.

Did you see the news video of the dog holding vigil at his mistress's grave.  I believe it was in Argentina.  Or maybe it was Phoenix?
