Well, you've read the notes, the notes went with the flow, and now it is time for you to post until the flowing cows come home.

Hey, this Pacific time zone thing has a few advantages, like making it easier to be the first responder.

On the other hand, it's 4:00 in the morning for me.   Methinks it's time  to quit while I'm ahead.  Good night, all.

Good morning, all!

The fridge didn't die during the defrosting. It's been a worry for several years, and I will be glad when the new one shows up . Last night my super came in and leveled the stove so it no longer slopes. Yesterday was quite productive.

I need to stop at Tekserve on my way to Toyland to see if they have an adaptor for an external hard drive. Once at Toyland, I will continue the proof on ROBERTA. And that's my day.

TOD:
DVD: The BBC Ben-Hur still waits, a couple of Gilbert & Sullivans, too
CD:  EILEEN, Rudy Vallee, Helen Morgan, Arthur Tracy, Morton Fowney, Guy Haines

Good morning, all.

The chocolate finally wore off at about 3 this morning, so I'm operating on too little sleep. I think it will be OK. I hope.

Weekend vibes for all. Travel vibes for ChasSmith.

I was not too thrilled with all of "Ed Wood," either. Great parts that somehow never added up. Saw it at a midnight showing the weekend it opened. Never wanted to see it again.

TOD:

Blu:  THIS IS CINERAMA
        WINDJAMMER

DVD: THE CRY OF THE OWL (Le Cri du Hibou). Claude Chabrol's 1987 film. I got this because it was on TV recently but bad weather interupted the satellite signal. Unfortunately the DVD picture is appalling.

Terrible dull day - the rain is pouring down but I've got the weekend shopping done.

I think I'll play a computer game.

I like ED WOOD.  We watched it again a few weeks ago, and still enjoyed it...particularly Landau's performance, and the Orson Welles sequence.

However, I do agree that the movie premiere scenes were a bit much.

And the day turned to crap as soon as I unlocked the door of Toyland: Con Ed has  turned off our power because NO ONE ESTABLISHED AN ACCOUNT.  I spent nearly an hour on the phone talking with Con Ed and with the foundation's treasurer, trying to reach our paralegal who has thecredit card and could repair things easily, and this has been a hell of a bad morning.  Someoe dropped the ball on this account, and I'm not sure who's the guilty party although i suspect I know. When I spoke to con Ed in June, I thought things were settled since their statement to the Packard Humanities Institute suddenly added the new foundation's treasurer tothe address, and some jerk at Con Ed had assured me it was taken care of.

well, the Con Ed jerk was wrong, and I can accomplish nothing till thenew account is established. It's been a waste of my morning.
