I can't find anything on the net about a Prince Rupert earthquake.

But I really must settle down for a solid night's sleep.  It's midnight here, and if I get less than, say, nine or ten solid hours this time, I'd like to know the reason why.

But before I do, a quick thanks and tip o' the hat to BK for coming over to the Marriott last night to see his dear friends Nick and Julie and Brian (and Mike, whose name I hadn't known).  These are wonderful people, the likes of which the world should only have many more OF (not to leave the sentence dangling on a preposition).  It was a fine evening and a wonderfully fitting end to a crazy but mostly great week.

I am sorry that MattH and BK did not get a chance to chat.  It probably wouldn't have changed anything, but still, you never know.

That is exactly how I felt.

Not sure if I said this, but today I spent about 2 hours practicing for the concert tomorrow.  I hate to say it but my shoulder really hurts after playing the flute. I need to start an exercise program.  I watched too much tv today and ordered Zumba.  It looks fun, though and I may actually get into it

I can't believe that none of our local news sites has any information on the earthquake.  Another shooting in downtown Seattle, sure, lots of news, but no earthquake or tsunami news.

New laptop. Feels good to be somewhat stable. Now, if my fingers can find their way around all the buttons.

Went to Gelson's and bought the 600 pieces of Halloween candy, had a couple of chicken tenders and that was that.

Even the GUESTS have dwindled.  Perhaps they're all making telephonic calls, too.  But the party across the street is going strong and the noise is quite obnoxious, but then so are the people who live there.  It would seem they did all this work on their house just so they could have this party.  In fact, the house was painted TODAY - I mean, the paint isn't even dry.

All the boards seem quiet this evening.  Why?  You'd think it was a Saturday night or something.  Of course, I take it all very personally :)

Today, I watched more than six hours of TV up in my bedroom.  I don't have a computer up there, so I couldn't contribute.  I was finally able to clear off quite a few sitcom episodes that had accumulated over the last several weeks.

After that, I took a shower, got dressed and went to the last performance of "An Improbable Peck of Plays," an evening of one-acts, co-produced by Theater Artists Olympia (TAO) and Prodigal Sun Productions, another local theater group.  The place was packed and I'd heard that overall, the run went well...audience wise.  It was quite a diverse series of plays.  A couple of them were written by local playwrights.  it was a great evening.

I think that if this run went well, we might consider making this an annual, or even semi-annual, event.  TAO is having our board meeting in a couple of weeks, so we'll hear about how it all went and decide if it might be worth it to make an annual, or even semi-annual, event.

Back!

Yes, I said:  BACK!

Isn't it amazing how quickly one travels from left coast to right, in less than five hours?  And how long those less than five hours can seem after the third hour or so?

Welcome back.  Glad you're home safe and sound

Ditto and Ditto!
