PRAY FOR ROSEMARY'S BABY
« on: November 03, 2012, 12:09:55 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes beat a hasty retreat and prayed for Rosemary's Baby, and now it is time for you to post until the hasty cows come home from their hasty retreat where they ate hasty pudding and spoke of their hasty hearts.

We have a loaf of bread and some English muffins in the refrigerator.

We do have oatmeal which can be made without cold ingredients.

We will need to do some shopping soon but I know that the stores in the neighborhood won't have much (at least in terms of milk, yogurt, eggs, cheese and other cold things) until their cold units and freezers are back up and running and full of goodies.

tod

mia: some of her best performances are the films she did with Woody Allen. She should have been nominated for some of them.

John Cassavetes I am not so crazy about......except in RB.

Ruth Gordon - of course as Minnie and as Maude in HAROLD AND MAUDE.  She was a rather lackluster host on Saturday Night Live once....decades ago....and I thought she would be much better....could have been the material of course.

Always like Mia Farrow....ever since PEYTON PLACE....and I will always remember Cleveland Amory's TV Guide review of her in that series:  "....I don't mind that she never gives us a new inflection....but couldn't she at least get another speed?"

Good morning, all! I will shortly head for Toyland and catch the lay oftheland around 27th Street.

Last night I slept poorly and had many weird dreams, one about a meeting at Toyland that began in the ffice and ended in the front yard of the house where I grew up. In my last dream I was putting away magazines for Barnes & Noble.

It's good to see DRs Ben and vixmom back with us.

More Coffee!

Thank you DR ELMORE.   I must be off.

The Dream-O-Matic 6000 says that your dream indicates that you are putting your work at Toyland in the past and will soon be moving on to new things.

Good morning, all.

Welcome back, Ben and Vixmom. We're glad you're all powered up again.

Crazy busy day. I need to make tiramisu this morning for a dinner tomorrow. Then it's off to Austin to judge a paella competition. It starts at 2 and goes late into the evening.

I have never seen Rosemary's Baby - I don't think I ever read the book either

I think I was too young when it came out -- I will have to look for it

JohnG  please share the cabbage casserole link -  I love me some stuffed cabbage but it is SO labor intensive and the rest of the VixFamily won't eat it

I have never made a Tiramasu ---  but every time I see the word now it reminds me of the exchange between Tom Hanks and Rob Riener in Sleepless in Seattle

Sam Baldwin: What is "tiramisu"?
Jay: You'll find out.
Sam Baldwin: Well, what is it?
Jay: You'll see!
Sam Baldwin: Some woman is gonna want me to do it to her and I'm not gonna know what it is!

Good morning, all.

As far as I know, I got exactly eight hours of pretty solid sleep.  It didn't prevent me from feeling I'd been run over by the proverbial truck, but coffee is reviving me.
