Happy 85th birthday to DR Cillaliz's Mom!
And the word of the day is: EPHEBE!

And The Song Of The Day Is: THE BALLAD OF THE SAD YOUNG MEN
John G., did you see my question to you last night?I'll go look now.
So, Elmore, did you get to see "Once" again? How many times have you seen it?
We had a very nice seder last night with our new neighbors, with one exception. An EEEEVVVIIIL glass of red wine literally catapulted itself across the table, spraying wine all over our cloth upholstered chairs and carpet (why anyone carpeted a dining room is anyone's guess). I got it out of the carpet for the most part, the chairs are another matter.
I find it somewhat nonsensical that you need to know where someone lived to search the 1940 Census. If you know about them, why would you be searching for them?

;D
I heard A LOT about this yesterday.
I'm a bit disappointed that, unlike my other other one person plays, there has been little interest shown in Maurice Chevalier.
Had a terrific seder in New Jersey last night.
I'm also more than halfway through the screenplay I was hired to write.
One would think that, the older and more experienced you get at the process, the easier it would be.
Nope!

DR Cilla, what a great photo of the birthday gal!Yes, it was.
I'll begin with the best news from DR TCB's friend Sharry:
he just seems so pleased to be out of pain and to feel his limb come alive again.
he looked fantastic...better than I have seen in months. He's not needing much in the way of pain control and his appetite is decent.
That little project raised my esteem for the folks who decorate the Tournament of Roses floats about 1000 percent!
Well, the vacuuming is finished, whether I like it or not. I may have burned out the motor on the vacuum cleaner. (It was only 20 years old. What could be the matter with it?)
Meanwhile, here's twelve minutes of interviews and occasional short glimpses of our last Kritzerland show.

Your hotel room looks festive now.

It does, DR Jane, but I'd rather be home to hang the new egg on the tree that's on our piano...
Back from stuff - bad news for charts from Broadway Bound - all the band charts are there but not ONE piano/vocal - I may have to change shows now - I'll see what I can gather up from my sources and maybe we can squeak by on BB.

DR FJL, with a bouncy vamp lead-in, that would be a good opening line for a song.
For those who need vibes -

Beautiful egg, Ginny!
John G., thanks for the herbal advice. Mae-Ling always opens my cupboard to see what I have in there. I am trying to get her to understand that I have fresh herbs growing, instead of needing to use dried.I'd eat jelly beans over risotto if I were six or seven.
We made chicken and zucchini and yellow squash. She used parsley, thyme, and rosemary (she loves rosemary). Plus Wae-Ling made rissotto.
Sadly, they gave the kids jelly beans and other junk at the church, so they didn't eat much.
DR John G, I bought a small (read $50) Dyson-style vacuum at Bed, Bath & Beyond a while back, which really does a great job! I didn't expect much for that price, but was pleasantly surprised. Vibes you find a new vac that you're happy with.Thanks. I ended up with a Hoover from Target. The dead one was a Hoover, so here's hoping this one works. I really needed to finish up the house, so it was off to the store for a replacement.
My nieces made out with tons of Easter loot at the Sedar! :):D
It's too funny that 3 different people brought them Easter bags. Instead of being presenting with money for hiding the matzah they were presented with Easter baskets. It was too funny.
There is something SERIOUSLY wrong in the universe. Betsy has just beat me twice in a row at Scrabble. ;)
