There was also A CHRISTMAS CAROL shown for a few years during the 70's that was beautifully animated:

I wish this was available on DVD.

I think this is it on VHS at Amazon.com

Ben, I'm a little nervous about your Cry For Us All - I didn't address your package and hopefully Cason did, but you do check and I always put the piece of paper on the order pile, but for some reason the Cry For Us All is not ringing a bell - still, if it was there then the CD went out.

The phone woke me up at nine-thirty, although I didn't take the call.  It's very gray out and that and the silence next door are great for sleep.

OMG--The Brass Ring is now doing Guantanamera, with a Desiderata-esque voiceover.  How could I have forgotten how cheesy these were?  :)

But in such a good way!

I know you cashed the check. If it's not here in a few days we can discuss options.

Mine hasn't arrived yet, either, and I'm hoping today will be the day!

LOL.  You could make the money back by making DVD-Rs and selling them to Hainsie/Kimlets for $5 each, plus postage.

Frances had her poisoned.  ;)

Speaking of which, I've been getting some really fascinating PM's from a FB FF fan who evidently got a private tour of Western State.  Western State has a room devoted to Frances!  I never knew that--I guess I should call them and see if I can drop by sometime.

Possible SPOILAGE re: "Heroes"

<SNIP>

End SPOILAGE.

MORE Possible SPOILAGE:

I really enjoyed the episode last night.  Is anyone conserned that they seem to be setting us up to believe that Hiro is going to die?  But he can't...at least, not for quite a while.  In the first season, Hiro came to Peter (I think) from the future, speaking perfect English with no Japanese accent at all.  We don't know when he came from, but as of last night, he still had his accent, so he's safe. :)

End MORE Possible SPOILAGE.

Bruce, not to worry. I'm home from work and my mailbox was crying. It arrived in the sparkling box and it looks beautiful. The booklet has some great pictures. I won't listen tonight because I'm going to the theatre but I'm looking forward to hearing it.

I think the version of A CHRISTMAS CAROL you folks are talking about is the one animated by RIchard Williams. It's never been on DVD.

Before I went to lunch, I watched Friday night's MONK. Just an average episode with a couple of funny things. The mystery was really feeble.

When I got in from lunch, I watched last night's CASTLE. A fun episode just like usual. The Julliard violinist is REALLY cute, and the mystery caper was pretty intriguing until the writers gave the game away about 2/3 of the way through.

To fill out the afternoon, I decided I grab the first season of MEDIUM off the shelf and rewatch the pilot. How fascinating to see the girls so young and Allison's gift being questioned by everyone.

Interesting side note: the terrible actress who now plays detective Scanlon's pregnant girl friend (she's actually the wife of creator/producer Glenn Gordon Caron) was in the pilot as the only female Texas Ranger on the squad. She was JUST as terrible in that role as she is now as the assistant mayor of Phoenix.

I started on the second episode in the set and got a little more than halfway through. Allison becomes a jury consultant with some terrific results but the wrong man being convicted!
