We had some serious storms last night around 11:00 AM and again this morning around 6:00 AM. We may be getting another round tonight. No tornados here, but many fairly close by. We did get 1.7 inches of rain and 60-70 mph winds. Lots of limbs down, power was out nearby etc

I've had another almost-relaxing day - did have to ship some packages and print out a lot of Show Girl orders. I had Islands for lunch, but there was so much traffic - freeway and streets - it was ridiculous. No reason for it at all - no accidents, no nothing, just endless cars driving slowly and poorly.

I had quite the busy day. I typed, printed, typed some more, watered tomatoes, fed fish, etc. all while waiting for emails that never came.

Good Evening!

I decided to take advantage of the break in the rain, and walk up to El Malecon for dinner: rotisserie chicken and fried cassava. I had thought I had done my best when I told the waiter that I would like to order "medio pollo y yuca frita", but after a couple seconds of getting puzzled looks from him, I eventually pointed to the picture on the menu to confirm my order. And then he re-confirmed it by repeating it in English. Hmmm...

...And tonight's dinner "entertainment" was provided by the couple who was sitting at the table next to mine. Well, at least by the man of the couple. As soon as I heard him mention how well his therapy session went, well, I could tell it was going to be quite the interesting conversation. Unfortunately - for his date at least - he was sort of a loud-talker. There were moments when she responded, and he would ask her to speak up, but she would just lean in closer to him to keep thing more private. Sadly, during the time that I was there, he never got the point. Or any point, for that matter.

*I truly almost laughed out loud when he said, "I really wanted to see you after I got out of my "Jeopardy" test."

I spent the first part of my evening finishing the bonus features on the PREDATOR 2 Blu-ray. There was a lot of repetition of information in these various featurettes prepared for foreign distribution.
