-And I decorated eggs last Easter with DRs TPunk and Rodzinski!  :)

I used to love decorating them.

Did the eggs created at TPunk and Rodzinski's have feathers, eyes and  puff-balls?

Today is a holiday for some.
Others of us will be working.

Dovumentaries - films about pigeons and other birds who bop their heads backwards and forwards when they walk.  Viewers have been known to complain about whiplash later on.

No, films about pacifists!

Well, since today is my last day with All About Us, I had to get my hotel room all packed up this morning.  Which really only took about five minutes, so I had plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely breakfast.  I wanted one more cook-it-yourself Belgian waffle. ;)
Just one?

and then we headed to Culver City to a club called "Irish Times", to see Bruno Coon's band. (Bruno is Randy Newman's music editor.) The club was full of women who enjoyed dancing to the band. Greg remarked that only in California would you see Japanese women dancing to reggae music in an Irish pub!

You went to CULVER CITY???!!! :)   LA friends have told me that it's a real up-and-coming place, but I grew up there and still think of it as movie studios and not a whole lot else. Yes, I'm a bit out of date.

I was never on a game show, but I did attend the taping of two episodes of CONCENTRATION when I was a youngen.

They are holding auditions this week in Philly for THE REAL WORLD and BIG BROTHER.  I would never make it onto the former and never last beyond a week on the latter.

I loved 'em.  Especially after they had been sitting out all week and grown stale.

Thanks for the pic of John Hoyt, DR MATTH. I'm afraid he's not my type, so I'll leave him to you. No fighting between H/Ks! I'll have to watch BRUTE FORCE for it's own sake. sigh.

DR Dan(the Man), my mother and I also attended a taping of CONCENTRATION, on my first trip to NYC in June, 1967.

There are enough Peeps eaten each Easter, to more than circle the earth.

Alrighty...we're off for the day. The next time I post it will be from Atlanta. We get there 'round midnight and still have to take the subway and oick up our car, so I won't be posting until tomorrow.

Hapy a lovely Easter, everybody!

One of the bosses has had peep-like candy in his office for the taking for weeks.  I hope it doesn't stop once Easter is over.

Oh, yes!  We've been selling a lot of those decorating kits over the past week.

And I'm not even going to attempt guessing how many dozens of eggs I've scanned at my register lately!  Lots more than usual, fer sure.

No, they put them in the microwave and watch them expand and melt!

I have never been on a game show, but I attended a taping of SNAP JUDGEMENT, which in the form I saw the show, was exactly the same game as PASSWORD.  Being in college radio back in those days, after the taping, I got to do interviews with Johnny Olson, Nipsy Russell, and Ed McMahon.

Looking online at the dates SNAP JUDGEMENT aired, I don't think the taping I attended ever went on the air.  I attended the taping on March 18 or 19, 1969, and the show stopped airing March 28, 1969.  Hmm, maybe I was responsible for the show being cancelled.  I hope so.

John Hoyt story: I, of course, had seen Attack Of The Puppet People at my beloved Wiltern Theater when I was ten (I think it came out in 1958), and I loved it and I became a fan of Mr. Hoyt.  Much later, when I was doing Jimmy Shine as an alum at LACC in 1970, Shelley Morrison came to see me in the show (she's an alum), and loved me, and she actually did something about it - she got me her agent, the wonderful Alex Brewis, and my whole life changed in an instant.

The day I walked in to sign my contracts, who was in Mr. Brewis' office but his client John Hoyt.  I was so dumbstruck I couldn't even talk, save to say I was a big fan.

It's funny, when we read of these lovely and large New York hainsies/kimlets gatherings, and then we read of the rather ill-attended West Coast gatherings, you realize just how few hainsies/kimlets there are out here.  Basically, it's me, it's Cason, and it's Miss Patti.  Miss PennyO is always off somewhere or becoming a Dr. of something, and that's about it.  I do think we have a LOT of West Coast lurkers, but that's not the same.  Of course, Pogue moved to Lubbock or wherever the HELL he lives now, and others have come and gone.  We'll have to see what we can do about that.
