THE WORLD IS A CIRCLE
« on: March 07, 2007, 12:40:43 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a circle without a beginning and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently singing Question Me An Answer and doing some fabulous Hermes Pan choreography.

Was listening to Les Miz earlier tonight, I have yet to see the show but it must have been impressive on stage. The Original cast recording is very good.

It is 3:30 a.m., and I have just received a most distressing phone call. It was someone from the sheriff's department telling me that the case has been dismissed and he will be released in the morning.

I am very confused. The paper I received last week said he was released on bond. And now I am very very frightened.

Good morning, all!  Another day with the band parts.  Liz will stop by this evening around 5 PM to pick them up.

And so, to work!

DR Jose, have a safe trip and a wonderful time!

DR DearReaderLaura, I am completely puzzled by this whole situation, but in going back over the events as you've posted them, it sounds as if you were one of several folk this moron was gunning for.  Are they equally alarmed about the current state of events?

DR Elmore, there was one other victim. We are both confused, and he is very angry about this. The folks at the "service club" (aka drinking club) don't know about the dismissal yet, as they were not victims.

We never talked to a prosecutor. In fact, after the photo lineup, I never spoke to anyone again. I made two phone calls: one to the detective, which he did not return, and one to the victim advocate office, which they did not return. I received the one call last week saying the preliminary hearing was postponed, and this call this morning. These folks are just message relayers, so they don't have any other information than what they were given to make the phone call.

Obviously, they felt they would not get a conviction, which seems odd that they would come to that conclusion, seeing how we never talked to a prosecutor.

Thanks, Jennifer.

I was jumpy when I thought he was out with orders to not contact me. Now there are no such orders.

I went out for a cup of strong Starbucks and was going to take a drive, until I realized I am not able to concentrate enough on driving.

RE: last night's AMERICAN IDOL.

My two favorites were Chris Richardson and Blake.  Right now they seem to be the judges favorites as well.

I think that Chris S and sundance and phil will be safe (i really believe phil is super popular).

So that leaves brandon, jared, sanjaya. I think jared is gone for sure. And while i like him, i think brandon may be the other.

I really dislike sanjaya. And i had such high hopes for him after his original audition. There is something about the way that he comes across that just drives me crazy.

Very sorry you have to go through this.  It must be most disconcerting.

Westerns day on TCM.

I decided not to get a new television until my 36" tube TV bites the dust.  It is almost 8 years old, so it won't be long.  Then I will have to get some new cables AND subscribe to digital cable.....too much to think about.

My first question for ASK BK day:

What is the worst television series that ever got a multi season run?  I am not talking about 13-week wonders or those series that never were picked up after an initial showing.  The worst one that kept getting renewed for NO discernible reason.

My picks to start:

Caroline in the City
Suddenly Susan

My question for ASK BK DAY is a conundrum:

If a car battery dies in a forest, and no one can hear the horn ['cause the battery is dead, see?], then: Did it really die????
