Dad is home from the hospital. He sounded good, even though he was disoriented. He didn’t know who I was, but he seemed rested. Mom did, too.

Bittersweet news.  It has to be heartbreaking he didn't know who you are.  My father suffered dementia but he always knew who I was.

Looks like I don't have to play Banjo on the final weekend of our show - and that is good news for me, as I didn't really want to learn the lines again.  Nick Santa Maria will fill in for the final weekend.  He sings The Leper Colony in the Ben-Hur Outside the Box episode.

I am happy for you.

We went to Beaches for dinner tonight.  Our favorite waitress, whom we are now on facebook, went in early to sit and visit with us before beginning her shift :)

Avoiding major use of my tablet last night & this morning made a big difference with my shoulder.  Today it was almost back to my normal level of pain.  I plan to continue being good and see what happens.

Went and bought a ham for a potluck tomorrow, a potluck where there's never enough meat.

Because I bought the ham, I got a free 12-pound turkey.

I'm not big on turkey. Maybe I can donate it to the church for their Thanksgiving dinner giveaway.

Or maybe I'll try to find a way to make it more palatable, like cooking it in butter.

On the day I listened to someone tell me that AI-driven programs for content creation won't take people's jobs away, I learned that my friend Bonnie and her entire department of editors, including her two bosses, will lose their jobs in April. She seemed OK with the news, but I think that'll change once she's had time to let it sink in.

I discovered that someone from San Antonio that I know has a wine book out.

https://www.amazon.com/99-Bottles-Black-Sheeps-Life-Changing/dp/1419734571/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=99+bottles&qid=1573883881&sr=8-1

Andrre has made a name for himself in the wine business. Great news for him.

This is sad.  Job vibes to all of them.

Back from an extremely rough run-through, but we did get through it with everyone off book but unfortunately calling "line" literally every two seconds.

I was also able to download (essentially covertly) the MPG file from PBS's website. ::)

In the actual TV broadcast, just before the last word of the play is spoken, they have someone (the director?) in a short pre-recorded segment say something, then they cut back to the end of the play, the ads, and the end credits.
