I noticed that the script was written by the two guys responsible for RENO 911 (Thomas Lemon and Ben Garrett), but they recycled slapstick bits from Disney live action comedies that go all the way back to THE SHAGGY DOG.
And I had no idea the adults in the cast included such names as Carol Kane, Lauren Graham, Brad Garrett, Chris Potter, and Faith Hill. They all worked hard for their laughs.
And the word of the day is: ASTIGMATIC!This sounds like a car that can switch from manual shifting to non-manual, depending on how the driver likes to drive.

I'm watching Dancing With the Stars. I have to say I was so disgusted with the judges that I voted for PMaster. Ok, you heard it, I'm part of the reason he's still on. But please, the guy was trying this last week and his Aunt or Mother or whoever was sick...I just think that it's insane to invite someone like that on simply to ridicule them as harshly as the judges did. If they were nice and gave him the low ratings, he may be off, but no, they have to be the know it all ruthless critics. So I voted for him to stay.
OMG I may have to kill you. :) I honestly cannot fathom why anyone would vote for him. I find his dancing horrid. And I don't find he was trying that hard. He was terrible! He wouldn't even agree to wear dancing shoes which i thought made him seem obnoxious. I don't mind if people root for the underdog. But they were being kind to him (one judge gave him a 6). Yes I don't think they should have said that he should not be on the show next week. But frankly he is that bad. He is so much worse than any of the people on there (or even those who have been voted off) that i really can't wait for him to go!
It's funny but Elisabeth from The View felt just like you. She championed him and even wore a t-shirt. That actually made me so mad. :)

Reminds me of some parents I had to deal with who inisisted their child never lied or did anything dishonest after they had fed them a long line of lies about doing homework (when I said they hadn't) and my putting things on tests we hadn't covered in class. Cillaliz, what did you think of THE SQUID AND THE WHALE? We also saw it today, thought it was good and the actors all did a fine job, but we felt as if there should have been more. It felt orchestrated. After reading the reviews and hearing the hype about the movie we were expecting to walk away feeling more satisfied and with more insight into the circumstances of the family.
DR Cillaliz actually P Master was not invited to be on the show (Dancing with the stars). His son little Romeo was supposed to be on. He just replaced him last minute after an injury.
I don't think that the judges need to be all sweet and mushy. It's a competition and if you suck, then you should get bad marks. Other than the one comment where the head judge told him that he should be off the show I actually think the judges have been very kind to him. IMO, he in no way deserved the marks of 5 and 6 that he got.
I guess we see this differently, but I don't find the judges were too harsh on any of them. Obviously it's a tv show, and the criticisms are what get the ratings. But I really think they were juding people on how they truly believed they did. Nobody forced any of those celebs to do the show. And the judges have totally praised those who have grown. I did not see any ridiculing. In fact I think they have been overly generous to most of them.
Last year's winner was not too good at the beginning. But she improved and at the end she won. I don't see what good it does to keep the worst dancers around. I want to see a competition amongst the best.

Now, back to my celebratory dancing (i.e., irritating the downstairs neighbor)...
I guess we do disagree, I don't expect the judges to be all nice and mushy, but they don't need to be rude. I really enjoyed the show last season and this year the judges have ruined it. The contestants were wincing when they had to go to the judges. That isn't right. They can give constructive criticism without being nasty. Maybe it's just my take on it. If they are that nasty next week I won't watch anymore - not worth it.

Deciding on what DVD to watch next - the ones on the table are wildly divergent in terms of subject matter.
THE APPRENTICE has seen better days, and NBC had no choice but to move it. Were it still bringing in top ratings like SURVIVOR, I feel sure NBC would have left it where it was, but the ratings have dropped with each successive edition, and NBC decided to rebuild its two hour comedy block on Thursday. I can't say I'm sorry to see it go somewhere else.
Question is, where will LAS VEGAS be moved? I'm guessing either to SUnday at 8 or Friday at 9.
They are committed to ER for another couple of years, but its Top 10 days as a ratings winner are over, too, so I wouldn't be surprised in another year to see it moved off Thursday night.
