Between reading slowly (I still read every word) and watching the links, it takes me forever.

Thank you everyone for the links, Jose, FJL, DAW, Matt, Ron, W. Orr, and anyone else I missed.

Tonight I'll go through the cd's and see what's there for Terry Trotter, and listen to those for the weekend.

Topic of the Day:

In my CD player:  "Two for the Seesaw" and a Bette Midler 4-pack from Costco:  "The Divine Miss M," "Broken Blossom," Thighs and Whispers" and "Some People's Lives."  The Bette 4-pack was only $19 total!

I like BROKEN BLOSSOM a lot--I think it's one of her underrated recordings.

DR George, a lovely package arrived at my desk this afternoon and I couldn't be happier!  I already did a sneak peek.  I can't wait to get home and watch MARY'S INCREDIBLE DREAM!  Thank you so much!

I'm listening to "Broken Blossom" right now!  I've never heard this album...nor have I heard many of the songs.  I like it a lot. :D

And I'm glad I had the "Mary's Incredible Dream" video...as bad as it is. ;)

As bad as it is is still as good as it gets.  I enjoyed every minute of it.  Many thanks again, DR George!

Television's Greatest Hits.....are those the Blue CD's with the different television sets on them for the different decades?  Or am I thinking of something else?  I have the Black and White and Color CD's of them....and like them a lot.

Oh, I must not have told you, I re-read the info on the women's build and it's the day before the 5K walk I'm doing, so I decided to do both.  I'll work on the Habitat build on may 9th from 9-4 and then do the walk the next morning.  I'm sure I'll be tired, but it will be really good exercise

I spent a couple more hours working on the yard tonight.  I bought 5 bags of dark brown mulch and spread them around the bushes I cleaned up over the past few nights and then raked up that whole section of the yard.  It looks good and we are expecting rain tomorrow, so I'm really glad it's done.

We quite enjoyed Miss Potter.

I did, too, when I reviewed it a year or two ago.

I had a night of entertainment completely from my DVR. I was getting dangerously close to filling it up, so I needed to watch some things.

I began with Kathy Griffin's stand-up special from Wednesday night. Very enjoyable. I'm not sure I laughed quite as much at this one as I did with hers from last year, but I still had a good time watching it.

Next, I watched last night's SOUTHLAND. Very enjoyable episode, and I got involved in the story of the mother with the baby found crawling in traffic. I also liked the young hotshot being taken down a peg from last week.

And the ratings held up this week, so that's good news for the show. A greater test will arrive next week when PRIVATE PRACTICE airs a new episode opposite it and HARPER'S ISLAND.

Next I watched LEATHERHEADS, the George Clooney-John Krasinski comedy from last year. It didn't quite work. There were a few OK lines, and the two male leads were just fine. I don't think Renee Zellweger worked very well in her part.

The movie was filmed in Charlotte and surrounding areas, so there was quite a bit to do with the stars during their time here. George and John were seen all over town. Renee stayed pretty much aloof and to herself during the shoot.

I ended my evening by watching last night's THE OFFICE. Some very funny bits of betrayal between Dwight and Michael. I laughed quite a lot at their antics.

And I've decided to take tomorrow off. I did get in a horror movie from Paramount for review (THE UNINVITED), but nothing I have left to review comes out until April 28th at the earliest (some are May 5th), so I'll just plan to have a good time watching stuff for fun tomorrow.

I forgot to mention that I did skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS even though I knew the boys weren't going to be on. They were in next week's previews, of course, in a climactic encounter involving a shooting.
