Jane drinks hard liquor?!?!?!?  I'm shocked, I tell you, shocked!

;D  It is funny how often people are.  Guess that shows you how rarely I indulge.

It has become rarer that I indulge, but shoot me shot of Absolut on the rocks and, to quote Leonard Cohen, "I'm your man." ;)

That I can easily pass on.  Keith often has it in a martini, another drink I pass on.

I can see you quilting in your rocker, a jug of good corn whiskey at your side

Now DR Ginny has me craving a Pumpkin Spice Latte. . .

For the past several years, DR td, I've celebrated the start of fall with one of those from Starbucks.  The one I had just a few weeks ago seemed so-o-o-o sweet.  And, I always leave off the whipped cream and ask for nonfat milk.

I thought all it took was a generous tip?

I may be easy, but I am NOT cheap.   ;D

He said "generous" tip.

Hi all!  I'm still working on the new computer.  I just can't seem to get the mail to work right no matter what I do.

I seem to be able to receive but I just can't seem to send.  Sigh.

Jane, If your email box is full of test emails from me, I'm sorry.

DR Danise - What are you using for your e-mail? Are you trying to send e-mails via (Mac) Mail using another account (Yahoo, AOL, etc.)?  If you can run iChat, I can walk you through the set-up.

I'm back from a wonderful trek! I've just consumed my Chinese food, taken my meds, and I'm ready to post before THE AMAZING RACE. I found HERRINGBONE to be several things, a glorious score by Mr skip Kennon with funny and interesting lyrics by Ellen Fitzhugh, a tour de force performance by BD Wong, and a great trip with old friends and one lovely new one.

I'm not sure I understood all that was going on in the plot, which makes many outrageous turns during its story of a young man's exploits and exploitation, but that didn't prevent me from enjoying  such fascinating, highly theatrical legerdemain. Wonderful as BD Wong was - and he must be exhausted after every performance since he never leaves the stage - I think he was ably abewtted by his wonderful musical director/pianist Dan Lipton and the mighty boys playing bass and drums. It's not an easy score but it all seemed effortless to everyone, and Skip's music is a total delight and totally appropriate. I heard an audience member ask after the show if there were a recording and my first thought was, no and there should be.

Anyhoo... If Roadrunner has their own web-based email client, then you can keep using that until you get the whole MobileMe set-up set up.

Driving home from church today, I was on a stretch of freeway that had many pairs of brightly colored underpants strewn about.

That person needs to meet up with our bra bandit.  Somewhere down around Miami someone broke into a store and stole about 150 bras.

I was thinking about killing some time at Amoeba before the film tonight, which unfortunately doesn't start until eight.  And it's three hours, from what I hear - I wish they started at seven because I don't fancy being out that late when I'm feeling so blah.
