Well, you've read the notes, the notes had accountability, and now it is time for you to post until the accountable cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CONSTRUE!
-
Ben Bagley’s Jerome Kern Revisited III (http://www.kritzerland.com/kern3_good.htm) has been ordered! ;D
-
Biden Crosses 270 Electoral Votes in the Official Congressional Tally of the Electoral College!! :D
-
BK, I hope you will watch THE PROM, and give it a chance. It was not what I expected it to be, but I thought it was a delight.
-
And now, it's done: 306 to 232!!
-
It's certainly been a day! And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a great day, all!
-
And NOW, Trump has promised a smooth transfer of power. And yet, at the same time, saying the election was rigged and it was the end of the greatest presidency in history.

YAY!

Certified and done. The Trump statement was clearly written for him - he didn't write it. I think someone finally made him understand that the 25th amendment thing was a huge possibility and an immediate one. I think Pence and others were seriously considering it and Trump had no choice but to do this because that would be the biggest stain on him of all. Of course, they should still do it.
-
I did my fifteen pages and got to page 100. And I'm finally listening to music, a short Janacek opera called Osud (Fate) sung in English. Apparently everyone hates the libretto and story, but the music is incredible.
-
Good morning, all!
-
The Trump Reign of Terror is officially over, but I will only be happy when I know he's dead.
-
I watched Anderson Cooper's CNN show, and turned off the lights at 9:00. I woke up around 4:00 with ny legs driving me a bit mad, and then I slept fitfully between then and 5:45. I had a strange dream where I was working at some theatre festival like Stratford, Ontario. They were doing some Noël Coward comedy with two stars - I couldn't tell you who now, but my mind says Brian Bedford and Irene Worth - and the director was driving them mad with his futzing with the play.
-
As soon as it's 8:00 this morning, I must reschedule my podiatrist's appointment. I am really not up to schlepping down to 21st Street and 5th Avenue today.

Good morning, all.
-
The woman who died yesterday, one of four killed, was a QAnon looney. Like most of the other events of yesterday, I’m more disappointed than surprised.
-
Big Chief Dumbasfuck has been identified: Jake Angeli, a QAnon moron from Arizona.
-
So, anybody ever seen a copy of Albee’s libretto for Breakfast at Tiffany’s? It sounds surreal.
-
I will second Elmore’s list above but add to the O’Neill’s.

Good notes.

DR George, thanks so much for posting Steve Colbert's monologue from last night.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Late start this morning, due to helping a friend deal with a flat tire.
-
I went to bed last night flipping between C-SPAN and CNN so I could watch a little more of the certification process, and the continuing objection speechifyin' finally had me nodding off. But in the knowledge that things were going to turn out all right, I at least fell asleep with a lighter load on my worry-fatigued brain than I'd carried for the first time in weeks or even months.
-
Facebook has banned Trump for at least the rest of his term. Hope it’s for life.
-
I turned the TV on at 1 pm yesterday, thinking I'd watch just a little of the congressional proceedings. Once the shinola had hit the fan, it was on until I fell asleep. I don't think I've sat for a marathon session like that since...quite possibly 9/11.
-
Good Morning. Went to bed too late and didn't want to get out of bed to go to work. The cloud of "I can work from home this week" is tempting, but I decided to go in as there are things to do here as well as "keeping up appearences" which I'm happy to do. Don't get me started on that....
Today, a few classes, a COVID test and a guitar lesson and then probably a trip to Trader Joes as I haven't been in a while. Tonight, I think the Christmas decorations will come down. I'm pretty sure the lights are staying on the balcony. I'm able to make them all white which is good for year-round usage.
-
Oddly, my last two outstanding packages were delivered by USPS at 7:30 this morning, which is very unusual because I rarely have a delivery of any kind before 10 or 11 in the morning.
One of these had sat in Bridgeport, CT (where it had originally been mailed) since December 11th. That's a 45-minute drive from here, and it took just four days short of a month before it suddenly moved.
-
CD ordered.
Now I feel spoiled. If it isn't here by tomorrow - say mid-morning? - I might have to open a PayPal ticket.
-
Good afternooon!
-
Latest postal report: I received a card postmarked December 7 yesterday.
-
Everyone told Sam not to sing.
But Samsung anyway.
-
That is all.
-
You really do push that "no groaning" rule, don't you DRSingdaw?
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
You really do push that "no groaning" rule, don't you DRSingdaw?
Yup.

Why wait? File today.

The Trump Reign of Terror is officially over, but I will only be happy when I know he's dead.
Actually...he still has 13 days. :-\

There's always hope! ;)

The woman who died yesterday, one of four killed, was a QAnon looney. Like most of the other events of yesterday, I’m more disappointed than surprised.
Yet I know people who still insist it was Antifa, not Trump fanatics.
I am surprised they managed to get inside the Capital. It is my fault as I missed the part where the request for the National Guard was denied.

Yes, knowing that was a big comfort. Still, I did not fall asleep until 4:00. I slept for two hours, then for another hour.

It would have been easier for you to drive there and pick it up ;)

The collective term for those who stormed the Capitol yesterday is Republican.

Thanks. I finally watched Stephen Colbert's brilliant opening monologue from last night.

Futzed and finessed, pages printed, so I'm on my way to Xerox and then deliver to Muse Margaret.
-
Well, this is an interesting development:
FULL INTERVIEW: GOP Rep. Kinzinger Calls For Invoking Of 25th Amendment | Hallie Jackson | MSNBC (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5tEOO0QfZw)
-
Xerox went quickly so now I'll relax until I go to Muse Margaret at three, after which I pick up food from Vitello's.
-
Vibes for MR BK & MUSE MARGARET!

As Mars moves from direct Aries and into practical Taurus, we may finally give ourselves permission to slow down. Mars isn’t necessarily comfortable while it moves through Taurus, so we’re bound to run into some discomfort. It may become harder for us to take action.
-
And that is that.
-
Today on LOGO I watched the "Good Time Girls" episode of Laverne & Shirley featuring MR BK.
I remember seeing it in it's first run and laughing a LOT. I laughed again today. Cindy and Penny were a great team and had great comedy reactions and timing.
And MR BK and CINDY's physical comedy along with the other two....had me in stitches. MR BK ended up in a jazz split off the couch and Penny's foot on his neck.
I know it is not ASK BK DAY.....but did you four work out the blocking for that scene or did director James Burrows help you out? And did you work with JB again?
-
I just realized that DR JOHN G's bird JB will soon be the President of the United States.
-
It would be a vast improvement over the current squatter.

To counter Kinzinger's interview,
John Bolton's thoughtful interview with CNN why not to invoke the 25th. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyl-1N4DQOg)

As the center of the universe, he would probably consider that a step down.

Thanks, Jrand.

I'm not sure what can be said. We knew yesterday's events might happen, yet weren't prepared.
Vibes for a calm rest of the month for us all, nationwide.

I guess I had two seances today.

;D That is me all the time, especially when trying to hear what someone wearing a mask is saying.

The Transfagarasan Highway in Romania.
The way they drive there makes this road doubly scary.

Burrows did nothing but stand there and laugh. The four of us worked it all out - Penny and Stephen, their stuff, and Cindy and I, ours. I did work with Burrows again - not sure if it was before or after that, but he did the Bob Crane Show episode I did. There may have been one other thing beyond that.

Muse Margaret has pages, which I'm hoping she likes but I won't know that until later. I've had my Vitello's spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread, all great, and I'm saving the side Caesar salad for later tonight. Now, I'll try to write a few new pages. Eight would be ideal, but we'll see how it goes. I think tonight's agenda will be new pages and music breaks. That sounds like a perfect evening to me.
-
The Wall Street Journal has reported that Betsy DeVos has resigned. BFD...this close to the end.
-
Four pages and time for the first break.
-
Betsy DeVos resigns before Biden can officially kick her sorry ASS out? Pretty good.

AND so that she can't vote for or against Trump's removal if the 25th amendment is attempted. ::)

:o
-
four!!!!
-
Yes. Neither can Moscow Mitch's beard, Elaine Chao.
-
I think I've had enough for today.
-
I have a book I was losing interest in yesterday that I want to finish up.
-
It's a self-published "inspirational" book my sister left here. I think the woman may be her minister. Her life is a horror of dysfunctionality. It was interesting when she was a child. Not as much so as a dysfunctional parent herself.

T.O.D.
LONG DAYS JOURNEY INTO NIGHT
WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF
CHAPTER TWO

Finished with my viewing, eating the Caesar salad, then back to work.

Finished with my viewing, eating the Caesar salad, then back to work.
What a coinkydink! I got a Caesar salad wrap from Subway for lunch, today.
-
It was pretty darned good. :)
-
Sleep is not my friend tonight.
-
Allergies have been bothering me all day.
-
Gratuitous post No. 101!
-
I didn’t finish my book.
-
30 pages to go and I don’t care.
-
For my sister’s sake, I’ll finish it tomorrow and try to think of something nice and noncommittal to say.
-
Where is everyone tonight?
-
And what is this page four malarkey?
-
It was pretty darned good. :)
On the road, hungry with no other dinner option we ordered that. It is the only thing I have ever enjoyed at Subway.
-
I’m getting tired again.
-
30 pages to go and I don’t care.
;D

Did she love it?
-
I am about to begin reading Greenwillow.
-
~~~Sleep and Allergy Vibes for John!!~~~
I hope it is the perfect antidote for life the craziness around us.
~~~Sleep and Allergy Vibes for John!!~~~
Ditto.

It was pretty darned good. :)

I don't think I'd ever seen it before this week.
-
Leprechaun
-
I didn’t finish my book.
I'm FINALLY in the middle of the last chapter of my book. I WILL finish it either tomorrow, or this weekend!
-
And then I can continue with the other book that I'm reading.
-
I think I'm less than half way through that. :-\
-
I copied a sentence and then pasted it. The sentence had nothing to do with a Leprechaun, yet that is what I got.
-
Maybe Greenwillow has a Leprechaun in it ;)
-
If DR John hadn't gone to bed he could have told me.
-
Of course, with all this talk of Greenwillow, I just had to listen to Liz Callaway's version of Never Will I Marry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkWTnZwI354).
-
I LOVE this version! :D
-
And then, that always makes me want to hear her version of Joey, Joey, Joey (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6ncMJI0f2Q).
-
I love this one, too!!
-
Hello, George.
-
A slow evening.
-
I suppose everyone is worn out from yesterday’s events.
-
Today was such a boring day, that I don’t even remember what I didn’t do.
-
Saw my medical test results. In addition to having the lungs of an 84 year old man, I also apparently have COPD.
-
Hi, Tom.

Saw my medical test results. In addition to having the lungs of an 84 year old man, I also apparently have COPD.
Oh, no!

~~~Vibes of All Kinds for Tom's Lungs!!~~~
-
It will be, at least another week before I get my specialist referral.
-
Well, good night.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I hate to do it, but I need to get some sleep.
Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow. :)
