Wasn't "I Sleep with Everyone" the Forbidden Bway lyric for "Love Changes everything"

Oy, I have spent most of today doing the MIDI (soon to be MP3) of the complete Bialystock number that closes Act I.  It featured virtually no snippets that sound like McHale's Navy.  ;)

DR JMK - You may have answered this already, and I may have missed said answer, but just in case...

Did your rental package from MTI include the sounds effects - bomb drops, grenades, gun shots... "Mel Brooks"?

I've studied at the feet of the snark-master.  :)

Now that I am home and have cued up said snippet at 4:30 into cue 21...I guess if one were inclined to "hear" the opening 2 or 3 seconds of the "McHale's Navy" theme, then a case could be made.

:P  :P I'll hate you forever now that you've forced the "McHale's Navy" theme into my noggin!!! :P  :P

Good Evening, once again.

Well, I've unpacked my two large pieces of luggage and my one carry-on, as well as the four boxes of books, papers and other assorted items that I shipped back to myself.  I seem to have accounted for everything except for my light jacket (sweat suit).  Hmm...  I'm washing some shirts right now while watching "Lost" (live), and I shall commence packing for Chicago after said episode of "Lost".  -Although, since my train does not leave until 4:00 tomorrow afternoon, I could pack in the morning should I so desire.

And that's that for this post.

Am looking forward to tonight's "Lost."

I've enjoyed many of this week's shows, especially the amazing season finales to "Chuck" and "Heroes" (although I'm a bit unnerved/unsettled about one development in the latter).

Loved the laugh-out-loud scene in the school nurse's office with Bridgit!

Why is MR BK going to New York?  i forget.....

DR MATTH i completely understand that you want to keep your copy of MAN OF LA MANCHA.....I was requesting the odd this or that one that someone may have picked up along the way....sort of like ex-es.

thanks for the link, DR ELMORE....but I am cheap enough to be looking at less than $4 a copy.

Back from casting day two - with a still surprising amount of no-shows.  The ignorance of these people is mind-boggling.  We saw some good people today, including very strong candidates for Eunice and Juanita (especially good - really cute and perky and a real Cuban).  I'd say we have seen no ensemble males that I'd be willing to cast, but I think we're okay for females.

Amy - box-folding explanation was given by Ben on page five.  As to my mother, no, she was not different from the mother in the book - she was exactly the mother in the book - she did do the sayings, but not to the extent that I took them to - it was just really fun to embellish that.

ASK BK

Your song "Chinese Food In Bed" was it written for a show? If not is it autobiographical and can you divulge who it is about?

Not written for a show and not autobiographical - it just sort of was a happy accident one night, when I was noodling at the piano and came up with the opening vamp.

I finished watching the Bill Moyers' interview with John Huston (some of it on the set of ANNIE). What a full life that man led, not all of it pleasant.

Then I took out my next Warner Archive selection: PAYMENT ON DEMAND. I've always thought this was one of Bette Davis' strongest, more mature films from the middle part of her career, and it often gets ignored.

It certainly looks the best of the Archive titles from that period of movie history that I've watched. A few white specks and one audio dropout. Otherwise, just fine.

Next I watched another NCIS episode from the season 2 set. A marine killed while videotaping an early morning sunrise. I did not guess the murderer though when his alibi was given I did hesitate a minute. I should have stuck to that gut instinct.

Oh, if any DR happens to have one of those paperback copies of the script from MAN OF LA MANCHA that you would like to donate to PCPH, it would be most appreciated.  It is from TAMS-WITMARK and I would like as many people as possible to have a book and not sides.

I have been buying a few here and there and have four, but would like six or seven more.  Check your libraries!  Thanks.

DR Jrand, ya wouldn't happen know anyone with a complete run of THEATRE ARTS magazine or at least issues from the 60s?  I know they printed the libretto in one issue--I remember reading it in my high school library.  Unfortunately, I don't remember which particular issue it was...

The President's press conference took off BETTER OFF TED tonight, so I watched some other items on my DVR that are being stored there until I can transfer them over to DVD-R. That took up about 30 minutes. When I went to the list, the cable box snapped to what it was recording then - IDOL results and I got to see the last person placed into the bottom three.

I had a feeling this was going to happen. All day I had this gut feeling that Adam was going to be in the bottom three. Although I hoped he wouldn't be eliminated, I did hope that it would serve as a wake-up call to his fans that they have to vote if they want him to get to the finals. No one can ever assume anyone is a shoo-in.

I was sweating bullets a bit when Adam and Matt were the bottom two. Could the best singer get kicked out in 5th place? As it turned out, the right person was sent packing. Next week is rock and roll week. It'll be interesting to see what songs the final four select. I assume they'll each do two songs.

I ended my evening watching tonight's LAW & ORDER. A hate crimes case against illegal aliens. Interesting story but a very predictable conclusion.
