Well, you've read the notes, those who should read the notes, won't, and now it is time for you to post until the watching cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CHURRASCO!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I didn't watch the entire proceedings last night, but I have them taped.
-
:P
-
Good morning, all!
-
I was up last night an hour and a half later than usual, spell-bound by the Jan. 6 hearings. I am so enamored of both the Chairman and Liz Chaney. I loved his accent and speaking voice and, while I detested her father and doubt she and I would agree politically, I thought she was brilliant in laying out the case like a really good court attorney.
-
I did watch the proceedings on MSNBC. I found much of the talking heads' comments after the adjournment interesting.
-
Now I must clear my calendar fr next week so I do not miss any of this.
-
I'm not sure what I will be up to today. Maybe the vacuuming. Yesterday's bout of energy was tied up with getting a 40 lb carton of kitty litter from the hall, into the apartment, and stored away.
-
I watched on PBS
-
I slept rather well, with a couple of strange dreams I no longer remember well enough to bring up.
-
We had gone out to eat so I missed the first half since we didn’t tune in until nearly 9, but my local PBS station did an immediate rebroadcast so I ended up seeing the whole thing anyway
-
I am afraid I spdidnt feel much like posting after watching it
-
I’ll have to watch the videos over the weekend
-
I have now watched all the Kritzerland videos. Really wonderful stuff. Glad they were captured to be shared.
-
Vixdad is still abed when I sign in in the morning so I don’t put the sound on on my iPad
-
And in the evening he’s watching tv so I don’t put the sound on
-
So over the weekend I’ll listen and watch during the day
-
I’ll go Wordle now
-
When you sleep through the entire physics lecture...

Good morning, all.

I knew I was in for a fairly early bedtime last night, so I DVR’ed the proceedings. It sounds pretty stunning and I can’t wait to sit down to it.
-
;)
-
Good morning, all.
-
Let the vacation begin!
-
Good morning!

Vacation vibes for DR JOHN G.
-
Almost Page Two.
-
HA!

Well the hearings were very effective and it is astounding that folks can't watch THE TRUTH and still be unconvinced.....but then again they have been told NOT to watch.
I was afraid it would be soft pedaling - but the facts were damning from the first few minutes and the blame placed squarely where it should be.
Unfortunately those who should watch - won't.
-
On this day 330 years ago, Bridget Bishop became the first person to be executed at the Salem Witch Trials.

I, too, thought Liz Cheney did a splendid job. She is an old-school Republican, unlike the Teapublicans and Trump-diddly-di-dumps.
-
How, I am wondering, can this actually be FRIDAY?
Where did Monday go? And Tuesday?
I swear, time is simply eluding me.
-
Denny is mowing my lawn right now.
He is my age and cuts grass all over town. Nice little retiree business. Yes, he uses a riding mower, but he also walks the yard and does edging and then uses a blower to clean off the sidewalk and driveway.

Glad you're releasing the LOVE QUIRKS cast album. One of the projects the Starfighter Onstage LLC was able to help out with before all things went REALLY haywire.

Sweet!
-
So we're back on tonight ... with a couple of "special guests" in the ensemble.
Film at eleven!
-
It's so much fun reading how Donald Trump is having fits this morning over the hearings. Just perks up my day!
-
Break a leg DR CHAS SMITH.
-
I saw Goody Bishop with the devil!
-
I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep.
-
I have to get ready for the noon o'clock lunch with Adryan Russ. In pure Adryan style, she's tried to change the day twice and this morning tried to change the restaurant - but I don't like the alternate's food, so we're going where originally planned.
-
From DR John:
Blandings was an estate with some very quirky characters. The TV series was excellent.
Thank you. Jeeves had nothing to do with this series?
-
From TCB:
Unfortunately, he won’t be able to do the bags under my eyes paid by Medicare.
I have never heard of insurance covering this.
-
Vixdad is still abed when I sign in in the morning so I don’t put the sound on on my iPad
I always keep the sound turned off of my tablet.
-

That is nice you found someone to mow and edge for you.

Our bear was back this morning.
I was about to scare him off with the bear banger when he ambled back over the hill of his own accord. Probably didn't like the hot pepper stuff Nathan puts in the bird feeders. It keeps the squirrels from eating the seed but works on bears, too.

On Facebook, conductor Larry Blank is reporting that Don Pippin has died.
-
Wow, we should have put that on our pear trees ;)
-
Did anyone watch the video of the new bridge connecting Russia & China?
-
Here is the story and video:

Broadway conductor Don Pippin has died. I knew he was livng in a retirement home. He was always very complimentary to me about my work.

I don't care that those who should watch won't. I'm really concerned that after ALL the evidence and testimony that WILL be presented, nothing will come of it...that the bad guys will get away with everything and nothing will change for the good. :(
-
I, too, thought Liz Cheney did a splendid job. She is an old-school Republican, unlike the Teapublicans and Trump-diddly-di-dumps.
Definitely! Of course, she is no friend to the Democrats, but she is truly doing her job, and quite well.
-
~~~TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for DR John G.!!!
Oh, no.
Sad but true.
Back from a nice lunch.
-
Sorry to hear about Don. He was a prince, a lovely human, and he helped make the Hello, Dolly sessions bearable due to the irascible bad behavior of the show's leading lady. I wanted to record all the dance music and Jerry Herman didn't want to, but Don convinced him it was a great idea and we did.
Hi from the road.
-
Nearing Amarillo.
-
I keep hearing The Bus from Amarillo.
-
It’s 100 degrees here. We’ve been driving for hours but no escape.
-
And another. Julee Cruise, 65.
You may not know the name if you haven’t seen some of David Lynch’s films. She was something of an ethereal singer who contributed much to their atmosphere.
Greetings, once again, from the Barracuda, where we bask in the mid-70s.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I have not been watching the hearings. It would just tell me that things were even worse than I thought. But, like DR George, I want all the information to be available publicly. And, yes, Liz Cheney has more courage than any of the Republican men.
At times like these one must look for humor whenever one can find it. The other day I was at the hair salon, explaining to Richard how Wordle works. Another customer, sitting a few feet away and maybe dozing in a chair, suddenly sat up, her eyes popped wide open, and she said, "Wordle! You're talking about Wordle!" Yes, we are. She was suddenly animated. I didn't know it could have that effect on people.
My acupuncturist is going through another "Your insurance doesn't pay me enough!" things. She did this several years ago and I switched to another doctor for a while. But there were lots of acupuncturists nearby then who did take it. That has changed -- very few in my area. I have a call into the kosher acupuncturist to see if she can accommodate me. We shall see.
Vacation vibes to John G.
Vibes to his mom, too.
I hadn't heard, but would love to be a fly on the wall. Ivanka's taking some flak.
But how do the birds feel about it??
I'm looking forward to a few new PBS dramas. I liked ANNIKA, but the season was too short. RIDLEY ROAD is very good, but sooo dark! Where is Miranda Hart when you need her? I pulled out PADDINGTON recently, because I really needed a feel-good show. I may have to follow up with PADDINGTON 2.
Anyone have any recommendations?
-
Thanks to Singdaw for the link to Robert Yacko's Vimeo page. I saw the KL show there, before it was in the Notes. Very impressed with Danika Maci, but as always everyone was terrific.
-
Weekend vibes to everyone.
TTFN.
Good luck! I never knew acupuncture wasn't Kosher :)
Have you watched Russian Doll?
Paperwhite was the one you would have liked to have? I do remember your mentioning it when I was looking at them.
That's nice her sister could also go. I thought maybe she was in school.
The oasis was always the one that I wanted as I love the page turn buttons and hate having top tap or swipe to turn the page.
The graduation was at 7pm on Friday night.
-
Oh, right. I mixed the two up. I believe Oasis is what I would have purchased had Bryan not sent me a new tablet.
-
I am off to watch something.
-
The last episode of The Lincoln Lawyer.
-
Maybe the first episode of the new season of Stranger Things.
Gratuitous post 100!
-
Had some lovely Scotch this evening.
-
Headed to bed soon.
-
Have been rewatching "Ghosts" on Paramount-plus. I really enjoy this show, and it's nice to revisit the season.
-
We are about to have a week of extreme heat.
Daily temperatures, after Saturday, are expected to be in the low 100s.
Oof!
-
Finished with my viewing.
Home from my mom's.
-
We played three games tonight...as usual.
-
I actually won one of them!
-
I drove through Taco Bell for a late snack.
-
I got a Burrito Supreme and a diet Pepsi.
-
Which is my usual, so a little more than just a snack.
-
I hate to do this...
-
...no, I really do...
-
...but I'm going to have to go to be early tonight.
-
The Olympia chapter of PFLAG (http://pflag-olympia.org/) is having an event tomorrow.
-
It's going to be a “Pride Birding Event at Nisqually Refuge.”
-
And now...
-
f i v e ! ! ! ! !
-
Anyway, my sister's boyfriend is going to pick me up at 8:00 in the morning!
-
:o
-
I hate that.
-
:P
-
But I said I'd go, so I'm going.
-
My mom had a couple of sets of binoculars.
-
I brought those with me so that I could have one set.
-
...and in case anyone else wanted one.
-
And I also have a small set of my own, so there's that.
-
I'm also going to bring at least one umbrella.
-
I have four in my car, so I'll ask my sister's boyfriend if I should bring the others, too.
-
If he thinks not, I won't.
-
Well, I guess I'll wait around to see if BK is able to post his notes soonly.
-
I can wait 10 or 15 minutes before I head off to bed.
-
TCB is not here.
-
Here is not TCB.
-
New notes will be up momentarily and right on time.
-
And I don't care who knows it.
-
Can't wait for the books to arrive and we'll get 'em shipped out pronto.
-
And hopefully the very late CDs can get shipped by the end of next week.
