Good morning, all! I was having the strangest dream last night, something about Goodspeed, doing a new musical and feeding an army, with lots of volunteers and preparong boxed lunches. The last thing I remember of the dream is telling my volunteer, now we have to wash 90 sets of silverware. Oy! I blame the eggnog.
I just turned down an invitation from DR FJL to see this afternon's closing performance of WOMEN ON THE VERGE, something I really really want to see because last night around 7 pm I agreed to see a movie with my beloved goddaughter Charlotte before she returns to school. I hadn't heard from her all week and I was afraid the old fogey was lost in her social whirl, so I was delighted by her phone call. She and her mother are going shopping at noon and, when they return, she and I are seeing something, most likely TRUE GRIT. I'm afraid the times for the film and the show will clash, so I had to tiurn him down. Malheureusement!
So, until the movie, I've got work here: some notes on a number from LADY OF THE SLIPPER, preparing for the January 5 recording sessions and sending out schedules to all singers, and beginning a biography and chronology of Herbert for the booklet9s0 accompanying the recording.
At some point I want to finish the 2+ hours of WIVES AND DAUGHTERS today.
