Well, you've read the notes, the notes were vacuumed, and now it is time for you to post until the vacuumed cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ACCEPTATION!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am barely awake, but I'm working my way up to the time change on Nov. 4.
-
Last night I finished the main body of Act Two, How To Succeed . . . and I have the Bows and Exit March to finish up.
-
Good morning to all
-
Good morning, all.
-
The one dream I just barely remember had something to do with recreating some activity or other from my childhood past in Fort Lauderdale in conjunction with the cat sleeping next to me, all to the tune of "When You're an Addams".
This might be a cry for help.

Ask BK or any Dear Reader --
How do you order your burgers? I don't mean whatever jargon is popular at In 'N' Out, which I've never learned anyway. Just: how do you order them, and what, if anything, do you add to them?
And do you always have every one the same, or nearly so -- regardless of the place, even at home?
-
I usually just take them as they are when I am at the drive-thru. My favorite fast food burger is Wendy's, so I have tomato, lettuce, and pickle......and sometimes onion - if they had been cut and kept in a closed bag in the fridge.
-
I hated THE CONNERS but I really liked THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT, so I will continue watching the latter....Michael Cudlitz from that TNT Cop Show SOUTHLAND plays the father, and he is very good. A couple of the kids are terrible, but maybe they'll get better....
-
Continued rehearsal vibes for MR BK & Co
.
-
I put the cover on Birdy Barnum's water container this morning to try to keep it clean. He is letting me know he does NOT like it....we shall see how the day goes. It will probably be off by this afternoon.
-
LOL.....he's is over it. He is trying ALL the doors again trying to get out....this must be the last straw.
-
Disturbing stories from TCB & George last night.
-
Yes they were DR JANE....ripped from the headlines so to speak
-
I have removed the cover from Birdy Barnum's water, and he is pleased with this development. He has been here three weeks today, so I think he is getting used to his new environment.
I stopped playing the bird noises. He doesn't seem to miss them.....
-
Page One?
This will NOT do....no this will NEVER DO.
-
After our "remodel" we need our carpets cleaned which we are having done right now.
-
Good afternoon!
-
It seems strange posting on a weekday afternoon.
-
I've delivered the How To Succeed . . . scores and stopped at the market for more deli turkey. I'm ready for a nap.
-
It seems strange posting on a weekday afternoon.
The curse of being retired!
-
I am barely awake, but I'm working my way up to the time change on Nov. 4.
I can't wait for it! One extra hour of sleep!
-
My cat might not like that, but too bad for her.
-
She seemed fine with it last year. ::)
;)
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven-and-a-half hours of sleep.

The burgers I get at certain places are specific kinds that they have, and each place is very different. I don't just ask for a burger (almost always with cheese) and add specific toppings. And I don't usually change anything on those unless I add raw onions. ;D
-
I remember years ago that there used to be a build-your-own-burger place around here. I think it was some kind of a chain where you chose your bun (I assume...I never got to go), then your meat, then you put on all your own toppings, like a deli bar. Sounds like it would be good. I don't know why it didn't last. Maybe it was too expensive, or loud. I can imagine a place like that being VERY loud. :P
-
And I'd kept the activity bar for Mail open all night and it had finally moved all the messages it's been trying to move, had downloaded all the e-mails in my main account and is synching once again with the iPhone. So, who knows what it's really all about, but it's working.

Good morning.

I was at the church this morning, finishing the cleanup after an outside group meeting last night. In the garden, I found an empty box for exploding paint balls that was not there last night. Also I found two places with paint stains near the kitchen door. So obviously, we had trespassers during the night.

Fuddruckers?
I was in one only once, but I remember thinking it was good.
(Edit: A quarter of a century ago!)
-
Reminds me of : With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Thanks for the Little Shop lore last night, Fred.
-
Fuddrucker’s started here in San Antonio by Phil Romano, who also started Romano’s Macaroni Grill and other chains.

That doesn't sound familiar, but since I never went, it might be. :-\

That would have been Flakey Jake's. It was very good.

Another pretty day in the Northwest, but not as warm as yesterday. Yesterday it got up to 80 degrees at the ocean beaches. That rarely happens, even in the summer.

That's it! They had one around here, but I don't remember ever going.

Had a Subway turkey sandwich, then Robert came and we ran the two-act version of the show. Structure worked fine, but all his new patter was way too long, way too unfocused, so that's mostly what I dealt with and fixed that all up. His pianist for this is not our usual Alby Potts, so that's been a trial, but I at least pointed out the musical things that needed to be addressed. So, that's done and I'll now shower and then be on my way to the theater. I let our latest replacement go because she'd have to miss Friday through next Wednesday and I wasn't feeling that good about it anyway. So, we're on the lookout again and I've personally written the one person I think is perfect for it and we'll see if there's any way she can do it.
-
Page two? Really?
-
Am I the only person who thinks Subway smells nasty? I can smell a Subway before I see it.
-
It stinketh the most.
-
But once I’ve been in and out of the place, I usually end up enjoying the food just fine.
-
Thank you for the anniversary wishes
-
31 years....where does the time go?
-
We went to the Texas Roadhouse where there was a delicious meal after no wait
-
Vixdad sent a beautiful arrangement of roses to my office
-
I gave him an Aramis gift set and some imported British candies

Watching a Hallmark movie called At Home in Mitford, based on the book series by Jan Karon. The books were nice in part because they were about a couple finding love late in life. In the TV movie, Andie McDowell and and some studly piece of cardboard are far from retirement age. There was also a child named Dooley. In the books Dooley's parents were rage-filled drug addicts who actually sold one of his siblings to get money for their habit. In the movie, he seems to be an only child whose parents are deployed.
Yawn.
-
A Very Happy Anniversary to Vixmom and Vixdad!! :D
Thank you George!!!
-
DR vixmom!
Thank you Elmore!!!

Happy Anniversary, Vixmom and Vixdad!

Leonard thinks he owns the place.

If I go to Five Guys I have the little cheeseburger , extra cheese, extra sautéed mushrooms, a little bit of sautéed onions and heavy mayo
-
Oh... That's why I'm fat
-
I can't believe no one is looking for this sweet baby. But then, I guess I am not looking very hard.
-
Happy Anniversary, Vixmom and Vixdad!
Thank you Laura!!
-
Leonard thinks he owns the place.
Well, sure.
-
I can't believe no one is looking for this sweet baby. But then, I guess I am not looking very hard.
Someone was looking for him...you
-
Nah. He was looking for something to eat. He found the food I put out for the Night Cats (our feral cats). He was so hungry.
-
I just grabbed him and brought him inside.
-
I gave him an Aramis gift set and some imported British candies
The somewhat legendary story goes that after Lola Redford saw the lovemaking scene with Barbra Streisand in "The Way We Were," she asked her husband, "What WERE you wearing during that scene?" His reply: "Aramis."
-
Leonard thinks he owns the place.
Doesn't he?
-
They are married 70 years today
That's wonderful! Congrats to them, too!
-
A big ol’ Happy Anniversary to those Vixes!
-
I went to the memorial service for my friend, Bob, who died last week. They had it at his burger joint. His ex-wife gave a really nice speech. I got to talk with her later. She's the second person we both knew that we lost this year. It's been really hard on her.
-
Four!
-
My phone is being persnickety today. It won't recharge. So I have to get to an Apple store tomorrow.
-
I also have a CT scan in the morning as a follow-up to the surgery.
-
So much fun in my life.
-
BTW, vixmom, shouldn’t you two OWN that Texas Roadhouse by now?
I mean, you’ve made enough payments on it...

Thank. You Chas!!

I had a similar thought.

It's nice when you call ahead and the manager knows your name already.
-
And half the staff detour around the restaurant to say hi and ask after your daughter
-
Plus the food is always good, the prices are great and it's less than a mild from our house
-
Less than mild. Sounds like my day.
-
And I must to sleep go.
-
With some Schubert playing in the background.
-
Good night, all.
-
Beddy bye for this gal too
-
Good night all
-
Good night!
-
It stinketh the most.
I am glad someone else has noticed.
-
But once I’ve been in and out of the place, I usually end up enjoying the food just fine.
On the rare occasion I have enjoyed it, mostly I tolerated it.
-
I only eat there when we are traveling and there isn't another option.
-
We went to the Texas Roadhouse where there was a delicious meal after no wait
I figured you went there for dinner.
-
Vixdad sent a beautiful arrangement of roses to my office
Nice 😊
-
I gave him an Aramis gift set and some imported British candies
The candy sou d's good. What kind?
-
They are married 70 years today
Wow, 70 years. Congratulations to them.
-
Leonard thinks he owns the place.
He is a happy cat.
-
I also have a CT scan in the morning as a follow-up to the surgery.
Excellent test result vibes!
-
'night.
-
Back from rehearsal and picking up a couple of light snacks from Gelson's.
-
Rehearsal was fun. I began at the top and got almost halfway through the show including blocking the scene changes, which work really well.
-
More test result vibes to John G!
-
Did I miss the resolution of the big "drama" matter from yesterday at the show?
-
I let Doug handle the drama and it's fine now.
-
Good evening.
-
Today was the old actors’ lunch. I don’t think I had been for several weeks. Maybe I have, I’m old, what do I know.
-
We went to Hank’s (again) and I had pizza (again).
-
My pizza was sausage, pepperoni, olives, mushrooms, and onions.
-
Unlike the last time, it was very good today.
-
I told them that on my next week to pick, I was thinking of The Cheesecake Factory.
-
Surprisingly, none of those present today had ever been, except me.
-
One guy said he didn’t even know that they served food, other than cheesecake.
-
I would call that a sheltered life!
-
I am sure if we go there, at least one of the members is going to have a problem with the place.
-
Oh well!
-
No George tonight?
-
But he was here earlier today, I believe.
-
So, we shan’t worry about him.
-
I would like to devote tomorrow to working on the book, but I think I should work lines instead.
-
So much of my part is just narration. I don’t have the benefit of another actor to bounce lines off.
-
I had that same kind of role as the Stage Manager in OUR TOWN.
-
I had full control of making it a very long show, or a quick one.
-
I loved doing that show.
-
There is one scene where to stage manager becomes the soda jerk at the ice cream shop.
-
A lot of cast members watched it every night from the wings, because, although everything in the soda fountain is mimed, they said that everything was always magically in the same place on the bare stage every single night.
-
Ahh, good times.
-
I wonder whatever happened to the video of that show?
-
Tomorrow, I don’t have to leave the house for anything. Gee, I really should go out and buy a bunch of Halloween candy. I don’t want to wait until the last minute.
-
Let’s get off this page.
-
One more post.
-
Page 6
-
Just in the nick of time.
-
Or the nick of tomorrow.
-
Oh, that’s right, George is at the Seattle Opera, Screwing.
-
Well, goodnight, friends!
