Speaking of "A Carol Christmas,"  I finished watching it and really loved it.  The cast was terrific and, of course, the score was great!

I don't know if I posted this when the CD came out, but one thing I love about the score is that, like the stage version of Grease, so many secondary characters get their own songs.  And not just lines within group numbers...full out leads and solos.  The lead character is listed in I think three songs, but so many other people get their time to shine.  As a community theater actor, I love shows like that!

Evita and Funny Girl are great shows with great scores, but pretty much one woman gets most of the solos in each show.  Spread the wealth, why don'tcha?

Tell that to Madonna, who grabbed Another Suitcase for her own.

Exactly!  And dramatically, it makes no sense! :o

there was a wonderful opinion piece in the Washington Post yesterday comparing our stay-at-home situation to Waiting for Godot. (There another piece today that reminded me of Philip Roth's last novel, Nemesis, about the polio spread.)

Anyway, I just discovered that a TV version of Waiting for Godot, with Zero Mostel and Burgess Meredith, is on a DVD I bought from BK more than a year ago that I haven't had the time to watch. Well, I'm watching it now. Watching. And waiting.

We haven't heard anything more. If it takes ten days for the nurse to get her results, I'm sure the patients will be having symptoms before the results come in.

I haven't read anything that explains the dependency in test results.  I suppose it is what they use or if the test is labeled priority.

New numbers are out...confirmed cases in my county are now 10,860, with 1,724 in my township, up about 1,000 from yesterday (in my township)

DR Vixmom will you still be able to go to work?  I am shocked that your place is still open (even if there are only a few people there).

DR Jane are you walking on paths?  Or up and down streets?  I refuse to go on any bike paths as they are too narrow. And there are lots of people walking and biking and passing each other. To me this is ridiculous. I am only biking in my neighborhood on streets. And I can cross to the other side if there are people walking. The only thing that i don't like is when there are more than a couple of people.  Sometimes they just don't move far enough away for my preference. :(

I am glad you have alternatives.  Our path is 12 feet wide, easy enough to practice a safe distance except the majority don't.  Today we went a different direction and walked down side streets and through parking lots as that stretch is an industrial area vs homes.  I think tomorrow we will go to Fort Vancouver where it is easier to move away from people.

I've got to go to Costco tomorrow, but I've lost my shopping list. I can remember the nuts and ice cream. I guess I'll do OK.

Depending on the flavors of ice cream, that could be three essential food groups right  there.

Finished with my viewing, ate a couple of English muffins and now listening to music without having used the Oxford comma.

Listening to the two symphonies I didn't have by the wonderful Brit composer Richard Arnell.  Also a film composer who did one of my favorite films from the 1960s, The Third Secret.  I may even have to watch it again.

I shan't rest, I tell you, even though I'm currently nauseous from the English muffins.  I've eaten crap all day and that includes the weird tuna pasta salad.  I even ate a frozen Stouffer's corn souflee that was not so hot.

I do like the frozen pizza breads and I don't mind the Marie Callender's stuff, but everything else is for the birds so far.
