TD which one is you. The red dress or the flora print?

I'd call you a bitch, but, this is a family site.  OOPS! I did it again!

Quick poll.

What was the worst musical you ever sat through or walked out on?

I didn't think men were allowed to do NUNSENSE!  ;D

Obviously, you weren't in Minneapolis to see the all-male version, re-titled Nunsense a-MEN!

The only musical I ever walked out on was: Streetheat.

The only musical I ever wished I walked out, but I thought my parents were enjoying it: The Will Rogers Follies. (It turns out they wanted to leave, but thought I was enjoying it.)

The worst musical I sat through to the end but which had its moments: Starmites

Greg Loganis did a production of it here in south Florida. One of the many Nunsense sequals and off-shoots. All this from its humble beginnings as greeting cards.

I've never walked out of a show.  As for just bad ones, I can't think right off of ones where I just didn't like the material (though there have surely been plenty), but for a bad production it will be tough to beat a summer stock Carousel I saw in 1998.  Wow... just wow.

The NZ/OZ professional production of "Chess" was an all time low for theatre in Melbourne. At least "Blood Brothers", "Rent" and "High Society" looked professional. (Just not to my taste).

Well, I thought that I was going to have a nice evening home with my DVD and VCR players, but I forgot (but thankfully remembered in time) that I am supposed to usher tonight (in about 35 minutes, actually) for a touring production of "Le Nozze de Figaro" (the opera). :-\ Anyway, I have to go home and get my white shirt and dark socks so that I'll be appropriately dressed.  I don't know how long the show runs, but I'll check in after it's over...probably very late.

And thanks for the well wishes at becoming the latest in a soon-to-be long line of HHW Gods (consider it to be a generic, gender neutral usage of the word).

How's about a bidet?

When I saw my first one I thought it was a water fountain. A fancy one at that.

Worst show I've ever sat through: DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES...five times! I had a strange love of the show, so I can't truly call it the worst thing I've seen. The Nat'l Tour of BIG was HORRIBLE, as was BOUNCE! (sorry, Sondie...) and TABOO bit the big one. I wanted to leave all three of those, but I stuck it out because as a performer, I don't care how terrible the material is, there's nothing worse than seeing people getting up and leaving in the middle of your performance. It's very disheartening.

I'm now eating McDonald's chicken strips and watching YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES. Soon I shall be cleaning and watching YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES. Sounds fun for a Friday night in the big city, don't it?

Oh, and DR Jose...should you happen to pass by the chocolate store that carries Galaxy Bars, I should be ever so grateful if you'd pick up a couple...OK, well...a few...for me. They have several versions...some with nuts, some with fruit, some with fruit and nuts, some with caramel... I prefer the plain milk chocolate and the caramel variation.

I'll gladly pay you Wednesday for a Galaxy Bar today! :)

In my DVD player:

Season 4 of Babylon 5

The Image 2 disc release of The Phantom of the Opera the 1925 and 1929 versions with extras including dialogue sequences from the 1930 version.

the 35th anniversary reunion tribute at the Radio and Television Museum of Broadcasting for Dark Shadows.

And I am pea green with envy.  Dark Shadows, POTO AND Babylon 5!!!  Not fair!!

I WANTED to walk out on that Dutch Cyrano - oh, did I want to walk out, but it was opening night and too many people knew I was there (they wanted me to record it).

I DID walk out of that Wizard of Oz thing that played Madison Square Garden - one of the most inept stagings I've ever seen.

Oh, and I'm home.  Always a little sad to say goodbye to everyone at the end of a gig, no matter how silly the show.  Hopefully new gig will be coming soon.  I do think it was a bit short-sighted not to let me see the final show through (although, given the short amount of time I had on it I have it in pretty damn good shape) but they're wildly over-budget and Kimmel doesn't come cheap, oh, no, Kimmel does not come cheap.
