Next I watched THE BOURNE IDENTITY. I've always loved the first film in the series, and it's one of those ovies that gets better with frequent revisits (and after you've seen the other two and understand what some of the terms and names they constantly drop really mean).
The big news for me, however, was the tremendous improvement in picture and especially sound quality on this Blu-ray. Not a hint of moire in the Blu-ray while my HD-DVD had some flickering and patterns in blinds and paneling.
The HD-DVD had only a Dolby Digital Plus audio track that did not have quite the heft I always thought it should have. The DTS-HD MA 5.1 track was a blow-out, a wonderful immersive experience that was worth every dime that I paid for this upgrade from HD-DVD. I only hope I can find some time soon to reexperience THE BOURNE SUPREMACY on Blu-ray as I suspect it, too, will be a vivid upgrade to the HD-DVD.
