It's now a very sunny day here. Cold, but sunny and with the white new snow it's really quite lovely.

Ok, back to work.

Good Afternoon!

Well, I think it's time for another self-imposed "media blackout" - well, "techno-multi-media blackout". -With the exception of my iPhone, of course.  ;)

I'm back from physical therapy and settled in for the rest of the day.  I've answered emails, and now I need to think about the holiday and shipping out some things to Ohio and to friends.

No DR TCB.....the IT that I watched starred Mr Roddy MacDowell as an assistant museum curator who came into possession of a Golem.  He also kept his dead mother in a rocking chair in his living room.  He used the Golem to kill his enemies and rob the museum.  But then the movie went a little crazy, and the British army decided they could only destroy the Golem by using a "small" nuclear weapon on it.  Toward the end there were lots of scenes where characters would tell us what had just happened, so I guess the money ran out.....

THE SHUTTERED ROOM was much better only because Mr Oliver Reed in the tightest blue jeans ever seen on screen played the villain who was tormenting beautiful Carol Lynley.  Mr Gig Young drove a fancy Thunderbird convertible and did karate on the locals.

In this latter years, every pair of jeans was tight on Mr. Oliver Reed.

Well, we're off to Il Pescatore, a lovely Italian-Mediterranean restaurant at Jack London Square overlooking the Oakland-Alameda estuary and marina.

I woke up feeling very sick this morning, partly from lack of sleep.  I called in sick, went back to bed, but I still feel very dizzy (don't go there, elmore) and sick to my stomach.  I have a call into my doctor, but I am hoping this is not a reaction to the sulfa drugs.

Well, we're off to Il Pescatore

Give someone fish and they can eat for a day.  But teach them to order fish out - ah, then they don't have to do the dishes!!  :)

Well, we're signed, sealed, and almost delivered and The Brain From Planet X can now officially be licensed via The Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization.

Fantastic! Let the royalties flow long and deep!

With the upcoming Holiday Travel Season upon us, here's some good/bad news:

Tempting the Thieves With the Pocketables

Quote
Ellen Howe, a spokeswoman for the T.S.A., said Monday that the agency has fired 465 officers for theft since the spring of 2003. That is “a minuscule fraction of the work force,” she said.

She also said incidents were down sharply. In 2005, she said, the agency paid $3 million in claims for missing possessions or damaged bags. “This year it has been less than $1 million,” she said.

*And there will be a follow-up article next week focusing on safety tips and travel precautions.

Or clean the fish. Frankly, I'd rather do the dishes than clean the fish. But that's me.
