Good morning, all! I never liked the Easter holiday much: too much blood, scourging, torture, stabbings, nailings, etc. and I wil never - lapsed Christian that I am (I hate to use the term Christian these days since so many Fascists and morons use it to describe themselves) - understand this whole theory of He died for us; He died because they killed him, and rather brutally at that. This is where theology, mythology, and I part company, although I'm aware that other religions have their resurrection stories as well. I have no problems with angels and shepherds, but I'm a little freaked over the theory of the Easter side of things. Maybe it's the concept of gifts with the angels and shepherds.
What I did like about Easter was the family dinner at our house with as many of my mother's siblings to whom she was at that tme speaking: it was always a huge baked ham, deviled eggs, scalloped potatoes, green beans, and whatever foodstuffs my mother's family brought along.
So, today, first thing, I have a trip to Kinko's to pick up those three bound scores. Following that, at some point, I have a conversation with the Man from Philadelphia. My biggest fear is that ou possible office has fallen through, so I could use some office vibes today, DRs. He also wants to talk about ROBERTA, and I'm not certain what that means.
That's my day.
More coffee!
Meds.
