I have 15 pages of my paper written. And I have 10 pages to go. And then I have to rewrite it. And then, and then.  All this week.

DR Jose, I need a rehearsal studio next Wednesday and the 72nd Street Studios are booked. Got any ideas? I just need room for three people, a CD player and a piano.

DR elmore - Check with:

Pearl Studios (33rd & 8th)
Ripley-Grier -Which is the company that runs 72nd Street Studios. They have three other locations.
Shetler Studios
Roy Arias Studios

Etc., etc., etc.

DR Jane - In happier Bernese news...

When I walking around yesterday, "Eli" decided to sit down and take a rest right on the corner of Broadway and 79th. Of course, since Eli was so cute and handsome, everyone else walking by wanted to stop and say, "Hello", and pet him - myself included. -Which, of course, made him not want to get up again. It was fun wasthing his owners - a mother and her two girls - trying to get Eli to get up and start walking with them again.

My brother and sister in lw will be hosting our Easter dinner -- I have been asked to bring deviled eggs - specifically the recipe taught to me by FJL's DP Skip

Oh!

And through the wonders of Twitter - as well as some serendipitous timing today - I won a pair of tickets to see Wicked. The Sweetery truck has teamed up with the Travelocity Roaming Gnome this week in NYC, and they're giving away various "green" prizes - as well as green whoopie pies too!

Just checked out the "Remastered Edition" of The Boy Friend.  Um, no.  Sad to say but it's faded and brownish from its original glorious color.  Very disappointing, as many of the recent Warners transfers have gotten the color right.  All they had to do was add blue and it would have been much better.

Is it the US version or the UK version?

Michael Sarrazin was so good in THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON'T THEY? and THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and THE FLIMFLAM MAN.

I don't think he was in the Illustrated Man. That was Robert (or was it RIchard) Drivas

Robert Drivas; he and Terrence McNally were partners for years.

thanks for clearing it up

Actually...

I called my Mom earlier to see what they had planned for Easter this weekend, as well as to see if they were heading up to Fairfax for my niece's - their granddaughter's - birthday. Well... My Mom actually told me that I did not need to come down for Easter this year, nor for my niece's birthday - since they weren't having a party this weekend. And since my Mom doesn't really do the "I say this, but I mean that" thing, well...

And since this is Easter weekend... And since I'd rather not travel on a Friday, let alone Good Friday... And since I have to make a trip back to DC for some business at Arena Stage next week... Well...

???

The US version from Warner Archive.

The color improves dramatically after the first 15 minutes or so IMHO.  In fact some of the fantasy sequences are astoundingly well saturated and really beautiful.

I am up at 1:30 a.m. because of all of the rain....we are experiencing FLOOD conditions in the front yard again.

It seems to be going down a little.....but I think it's going to rain again.
