Damn! The left lens just fell out of my glasses so I have to make a trek to my lens place on 72nd Street before heading downtown. Ugh. I hope it's open this morning.
Hmm.. I'm sure you could pull off the pirate look. :)
I have a half day to goof off today. I might try to find someone to play with.
LIGHT THE FLAMING ZERO!!![/color]
I am planning to spend as much as this weekend as I can reconstructing www.brucekimmel.com.
I had a major crash and lost the whole site. I was able to reconstruct some page and retrieve many from an archival site, but this AM I am unable to get into the archival site. I hope I will be able to get at it later today.
TOD: I told my DH DR Jose's story about shouting "Shipoopi" at the end of other musical numbers, and he has adopted that habit when he hears the end of a big production on the radio. It always makes me laugh.
I also sometimes say "The shipoopi is about to hit the fan".
I really laughed, reading dear BK's references to "Beverly Hills" and "Peeler Lawford." I very clearly remember seeing those names advertised when I was just becoming a teen.
Of course, I had no interest in going to see them........it was gladiator movies for me Baby !!
For those Alison Hayes fans, I caught her as the female lead with Gene Barry in a Bat Masterson episode on The Westerns Channel.
It's not listed on the Calendar but today is Music Guy's Birthday!
Happiest of Days to one of the happiest people in Arizona.
DRs Laura and Sandra, make sure he has plenty of cake ;)

I would need DR Tomovoz and Colin to bring me a parrot.
The rest of us are only half moron.
"When I'm calling you..."OOH-ooh-ooh OOH-ooh-ooh....
Does it come from having only one lens through which to see?
I'm happy your right lens is place - it will help you gain a clearer political perspective ;D

Good Afternoon!
Hmm... I guess I needed a few more than just a few more winks... But sleep is good. And since I'm about to pack up some stuff for the weekend, and head on down to Fairfax... And then down to Richmond... Then back up here to New York City with the U-Haul... :)

Absolutely....CLEAR VISION through the right lens affects the LEFT SIDE of the brain.
And that's the side of the brain this country desperately needs to use nowadays.
DR der Brucer ~ LOL (really I did -- real loud, too) with your post from late night yesterday's post:
1: Preacher my ass -- good try -- it's some crazed wizard or insane scientist (or a combo of both)
2. Your baby picture makes you look like a gnome -- a somewhat unsettling little gnome (your parents were saints to keep you and not send you back)
3. Good, it looks like you have enough hair for me to come snatch you bald-headed the next time you post libelous postings about my parental skills or my darling little Boo-Key. Don't make me call my lawyer...

What's the matter with furthering adieus? I've managed to stretch mine out over a few posts, but now I really mean it - no further adieus.

Yet kitty stew (in reference to "My Girlfriend in Canada") is OK? :-)
Great. Another story to do our city proud. I think these punks need a taste of their own medicine, not that I condone torture...
It will probably be spun as abusive parenting.
"I'm depraved, on account of I'm deprived"!
One day when she had nothing to do,
Sing rickety-tickety-tin,
One day when she had nothing to do,
She cut her baby brother in two,
And served him up as an Irish stew,
And invited the neighbors in, -bors in,
Invited the neighbors in
Hospice helped dying man lose his virginity
And Cason.... have you any idea how the name "Boo-key" is never going to leave our collective memories?? Thank you Miss Karen! :)
What is the source of the clip that (I think) TCM has been using lately to promote sci-fi B-movies from the 50s? it has an older man in a very "Zubrick" kind of satin shirt, saying "...but these earthlings are such idiots. They are styupid, styupid!"
I hadn't the heart to point out which city.
Smoke on your pipe, and put that in!
C. Boo-Key! Boo-Key!
If my Mom called me Boo-Key I'd ask to be returned.
Who you Gonna Call?
we had a slow start, but my show is all teched and (hopefully) ready to rock and roll!
My money's on Eros from "Plan 9 from Outer Space".
That is so... sexual!! :o
Hello DRs and H/Ks.....many thanks to all of the very lovely and nice greetings from the assembled inmates here, regarding my "sprung into the world" day.
I also send best wishes to DR Cason for his play and its successful run and production.

SIRK DE BK
SIRK DE BK - that's the title of...well, if it's not the title of something, it should be.
Maybe I should get us to page 7 with a sampling of Ellen Fitzhugh lyrics.
Was "six degrees of separation" an expression before the play?
Yes, Eros was our role model for Zubrick. But, I ended up liking Zubrick better.
I wonder if Eros and Zubrick would get along...?
Keith’s uncle good use some vibes even though he is currently out of danger. He has been in the hospital with blood clots following hip surgery. It will be awhile before he can return home.[move=left,scroll,6,transparent,100%]
Keith’s aunt could use some “be safe” vibes. She doesn’t feel comfortable about the area the hospital is located. She goes to the hospital in the morning and leaves in the afternoon, never staying late.
Eros was of course played by an actor named....Dudley Manlove.A code, obviously.
And one for Manlove
Yes, I think I'll sign the Brain, and get Cason to, and Lauren, and maybe even Mr. Spirtas.

Was Seven/Eleven always open 24 hours a day?
The company's first convenience outlets were known as Tote'm stores since customers "toted" away their purchases, and some even sported genuine Alaskan totem poles in front. In 1946, Tote'm became 7-Eleven to reflect the stores' new, extended hours - 7 a.m. until 11 p.m., seven days a week.
It would, of course, be nice if the PARENTS had enough sense to PRIME the children before they got to the theater.
LookS like a photo from the Gay Republicans Convention.

And Motel 6 used to rent rooms for $6.00/night!
Especially from Miss Leslie (Daisy Mae) Parrish as Jocie, the senator's daughter.
I'd add "no roebuck from Daisy Duck" but that'd be utter nonsense!
Yes, some more Brain orders would be loverly.
Sure would be! Roe doesn't come from buck, and Daisy has no utter.

My movie was interrupted by a telephonic call - but I guess I'll try to finish it before writing the notes. It's quite a bad film - The Mephisto Waltz, but it is amusing on many levels.
Pan's Labrynth
Tomorrow we fast!
It's not in Wales! It's Labyrinth.
I'm speechless!

Mmmm...that is a fine looking possum. You're making me hungry!
When I did a little shopping today I had a sudden craving for Indian food...and since I was only a short drive from Star of India I had me some tasty buffet!
They had something new on the buffet...Curry Goat. It was really good! I had never had goat before. Maybe not as good as possum, but tasty never-the-less.

Back from a long day with me mum. The highlight of the day was of course getting to Royce Hall and finding that the seats next to us were occupied by dear beloved Frank Sele, my stage craft teacher who has his own Organ built into his house. We talked about The Brain and HHS (he is the only teacher who came to support The Brain) and I was very happy! The movie (1924 version of Peter Pan) was beautiful, and Betty Bronson did the character real justice at times, although at times I feel she was too fluttery. Peter Pan is one of my two dream roles- The other being Blanche DuBois. All in good time...
I must say I was shocked at the reaction of the children in attendance. They were annoyed at the fact the actors would not speak out loud and they had to read, and that there was no color. Instead of their parents explaining to them that it was a silent movie, the children were simply told to stay quite and they could have ice cream later if they were good....These children (5-10ish) could not even pay attention and try to figure it out, they would simply ask what was happening in a bored or annoyed tone of voice every 2 minutes. Another comment heard all over the theater was "Thats not how it happen in the cartoon!"

I just returned from seeing Pan's Labrynth. I was so sleep deprived and the theatre was hot and stuffy and the movie was very graphic, so I fell asleep in the middle of it. When we left, we realized that my DH had turned 50! And a very cute 50 he is, too!
