I received word late yesterday afternoon that I've been elected to a 2-year term on the board of the American Library Association's Retired Member Round Table, effective at the end of this year's annual conference.  That means I get to go to Boston in January and Orlando in June next year...

Congratulations, Ginny!

This photo was taken in the teeming port of Grand Turk.  My cruise ship is the blue one on the left.  The ship on the right is the Carnival ship, Fantasy.  Thirty-two years ago, when I first became a travel agent, Carnival flew me down to Miami to tour their ships.  The final ship we toured was their pride and joy, the Fantasy.

Actually, the photo makes the ship look much nicer than it did in person.

Now I'm stuck in DR Elmore's chord progression.

It was the largest cruise ship, other than the Cunard ships, at the time.  You can see how few balconies the ship has compared to our ship.

Yes, DR ChasSmith, ALA is notorious for going places like Chicago and Philadelphia for Midwinter and Atlanta and New Orleans for Annual.  Someone wrote in one of our professional journals years ago that the IRS would never question our expenses for these conferences.

But at least in 2017, we're going to Atlanta in January and Chicago in June.  Oh, wait, I went to Atlanta in January last year and got caught in their big blizzard - all 2 inches of it!

Good morning, all.

Chord progression vibes for Elmore (and, by extension, ChasSmith).
