Well, you've read the notes, the notes were erratic and lacked sleep, and now it is time for you to post until the erratic, sleepless cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FINICKY!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after BK!
-
Off to bed and I get to sleep in! I might have a rehearsal for the now postponed read-through, or not. I'll find out eventually.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all.
-
First in the east!
-
Sunday.
A day in which I must gas up the car, and see a matinee.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Long day ahead.
-
This just in:
Tomorrow evening I’m subbing for our MD in a run-through work-through of Act 1 of Hello, Dolly!.
At which time I will try to find out from the director what in the HELL is up with the Waiters Galop.
-
Very much looking forward to BK’s report on Betty Buckley and the tour of same.
-
Lucy was amazing. She could make a while room full of people think she was a hat rack (and hang hats on her) just by standing still.
And she could teach Ethel Merman to sing like Ethel Merman
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uu1vAQiYoEU
(Vivian Vance had been Ethel Merman's understudy in "Anything Goes," BTW.)

Bread.
We have bread.

A Gentleman's Guide to Murder.
-
Patty is now dating Jeff and Richard is not happy about it - he is plotting with Martin and Cathy on how to get rid of Jeff.
Jeff is a colonel at a military academy who has a scholarship to Oxford....and is played by Kevin Coughlin.
-
Yes I am watching The Patty Duke Show.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Before going to bed, I took a Trazanodine tablet to help me sleep because of the current leg pains. I feel so drugged and groggy this morning, I shan't do that again. I fed the cats at 7:15 and went back to bed.
-
DR Elmore!
You need to break out of jail. It’s too damned quiet on Facebook.
-
I wanted to travel to the NYC Animal Care Center to look at dogs this morning befpre traffic made the trek impossible, but now it's too late in the day.
-
DR Elmore!

I will have plenty to say about the fools running Facebook when I return.

Last night I watched Won't You Be My Neighbor? on PBS. In the 70s, when I caught a bit of Mr Rogers' Neighborhood, I thought, how inane, and changed channels. I loved the documentary very much, and now I regret my superior attitude toward the show and Fred Rogers.
-
I need more coffee, and I'll have it after I empty the litter and wash out the cats' dishes.

Same. I saw it at the $3 theater a couple of months ago.
-
The $3 theater that for many years was the $2 theater.

When I was a teen, we used to have "The Million Dollar Movie" on Channel 9.
-
IIRC, "Seesaw" called itself the Million Dollar Musical.
-
Good morning!
-
Here is the opening credit (with Tara's Theme) for Million Dollar Movie.

Yesterday I got a standing room ticket for "Come From Away." It really wasn't bad standing-there's a little shelf you can lean on. Anyway, I loved the show! So heartwarming.

Page 2!

After dinner I ended up seeing Peter Mac as Judy Garland. I had seen the Christmas show in December. This was a completely different show (though there was a couple of jokes that were the same in both ) . HE's really good as Judy. He also plays Sophia in the Golden Girls show and is hysterical in that role.
-
Vibes for TCB's brother-in-law.

Looking forward to seeing this.

We watched LAURA (Gene Tierney, Clifton Webb, Dana Andrews) last night.
Hadn't seen it in 14-15 years. My wife had never seen it.
Still a marvelous film.
Like with The Maltese Falcon and the snow globe from CITIZEN KANE, I'm surprised that Fox or some business has not made copies of the LAURA portrait available for fans. I bet there would be quite a market for it.

Have you tried taking just 1/4 of a pill? If more is needed than increase to 1/2.
-
DR TCB, I was sorry to read about your brother-in-law.
-
DR TCB how is your brothe in-law today? Vibes he is better.
-
Annabelle and I made our patrol. I need to step out at some point for more turkey.
-
Good morning.
-
We need more nice people in the world like Mr. Rogers.
-
The next time I have to fill out a stupid supplemental juror questionnaire and they ask to name a person I admire most, I am writing in Mr. Rogers.
-
Or is it Mister Rogers?
-
Did I tell you all about the last juror questionnaire I had to fill out? I had to list three words to describe myself. I put "old, female, and boring."
-

Yes we do.

:D I will have to remember that in case someone asks me that question.

Good morning/afternoon.
-
Apparently this morning is the calm before the storm.
-
Page 3
-
We are expecting a small snowstorm this afternoon/evening.
-
It is not supposed to be anything major.... a trace to 2 inches.
-
However, tomorrow we are expecting a much larger storm with possibly 4 to 8 additional inches of snow.
-
We shall see.
-
They were completely correct about the previous snowjob, even down to the correct hour it was to start.
-
There were a couple of places in the upper reaches of Western Washington that got over 18 inches of snow.
-
That is pretty much unheard of around here, except for in the mountain passes.
-
We had some brief glimpses of sunshine this morning. They are pretty much gone now. It is clouding-up.
-
The waters of Puget Sound are a very dark gray this morning.
-
Actually, several shades of gray, but certainly not fifty.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
A moment ago it sounded like it was raining. Now it doesn't.
-
I'll leave in about thirty minutes. I did get proofer three's notes, so I'll do those when I get back and run by Muse Margaret the ones I'm not sure about.
-
Ushering for something with the horrible title of Bites, Ballads and the Bard. I hope it doesn’t bite.
-
Actually, several shades of gray, but certainly not fifty.
Fifty Cups of Earl Grey - that sounds like it could be a title for an entertainment thing in Florida
-
Looking at the Oscar nominations - Has a documentary been nominated for Best Song before?
-
We got about 3 inches of snow, but it should be gone tomorrow when the temps get into the 40's.
However I decided not to drive over to see my friends in CENDRILLON......and of course it closes today.
-
Back from Canoga Park - raining heavily there, and raining here but not quite as heavily. I got some taco bell for food - much less than usual.
-
Waiting for Muse Margaret to call back so we can go over some stuff.
-
Back from Gentleman’s Guide.
LOVE IT!
The D’Ysquiths were masterfully played by our Michael in I Do! I Do! Everyone did a beautiful job with it. Even the orchestra was beautiful.
Vixmom, this was at the Warner in Torrington. Too bad it was the closing performance.
-
Off to bed and I get to sleep in! I might have a rehearsal for the now postponed read-through, or not. I'll find out eventually.
Have a good day, all!
Well, I found out that the rehearsal for the postponed read-through has been cancelled. I'm sure that we'll schedule another rehearsal sometime before we reschedule the read-through.
-
AND I just got a text from work saying that all the Timberland libraries are closed tomorrow! :D
-
Yesterday, my blog had only one visitor, who looked at 42 items. Today, there has been only one visitor, who looked at 22 items. Curiouser and curiouser!
-
I don’t know about any 22 items, but I was reading a few more of the stories this morning!

Can't wait to hear about that!

Bread.
We have bread.
This, ladies and gentlemen, can only mean one thing:
Egg sandwiches!
I have eggs, but I don't have bread. I do have tortillas. I made some scrambled eggs with cheese and sour cream a few day ago and put that in a tortilla. It was quite delish.
-
They were completely correct about the previous snowjob, even down to the correct hour it was to start.
The miracle of modern technology!
-
Good evening.
-
This afternoon we saw a local production of "Jersey Boys." I had seen it twice on tour. The big theater where the touring shows play has such bad sound, that I didn't get most of what was going on. The sound in this little theater is so great I could follow everything.

Nice. I've ushered for so many touring shows where the sound is bad or just too loud. It's always refreshing to be able to comfortably hear a show or concert. :)
-
Apparently this morning is the calm before the storm.
I read that. So far we have been lucky down here.
-

My friend in Port Angeles has 28".

I used to make vegetarian tocos with scrambled eggs plus all the other fixings. They were good.

Except when it comes to the weather modern technology isn't normally all that accurate ;)

Glad you enjoyed it. I liked the show much better in performance than on disc.
-
Well, the San Antonio Chamber Choir was really fun, and they had a full house of about 100. It was in a small rotunda. The other two theaters were occupied and you could actually hear people in the main lobby talking while the show was going on.
Two actors did a series of scenes from Shakespeare's plays. Yes, most were the expected pieces. (All the world's a stage ..., the stuff that dreams are made on ...), but the mad scene from King Lear were unexpectedly moving and the scene between Orlando and Rosalind in disguise from As You Like It was really funny.
-
The song list was largely wonderful, with plenty of Ralph Vaughn Williams' settings of Shakespeare on the program along with an American premiere of the setting of Shall I compare thee to a summer's day.
The composer, Hsueh-Yung Shen was in the audience, and it was a lovely piece.
-
Because it's been cold and nasty, so I made soup for dinner. Chicken with some tomatillo and parsley.
-
Tonight's fun is Affair in Trinidad with Glenn Ford and an ultra-fine Rita Hayworth. Sex and shadows. A great musical score and just a load of fun.
-
AND I just got a text from work saying that all the Timberland libraries are closed tomorrow! :D
Enjoy your paid holiday.
Thanks, Jane! I intend to!

The Band's Visit won the Grammy for cast album. Nice.

I was hungry, so I just made some eggs with some leftover chilli that I had at Costco and added cheese and sour cream. I put that on a tortilla and ate it all up. Yummy!

It is strange for us not having a car with 4 wheel drive, or tracking, or something. Even though we didn't have much snow we were a bit apprehensive driving up the hill out of our garage. Fortunately the right side of the driveway was in the sun and the ice had melted. We hit one other little patch getting on the freeway. Other than that all was good.
-
We had to go out as today was the last day of the furniture sale at Macy's. Since we moved here I have been saying we need a pull out couch and Keith has disagreed even though he desperately wanted to get rid of the old, way too long, couch that is in my office.
-
Today we purchased a small couch that pulls out into a full size bed. It will be delivered on Friday unless I need to postpone the delivery. We have to get someone to take away the old couch. It is a very good couch and I still love it, even if it is too big. The salesman at Macy's gave us a number for a charity that picks up couches. Fingers crossed they will come to us, and do so this week.
-
Nothing like company coming to get us motivated ;)
-
I just looked up the charity. It's a shelter to help homeless families regain their independence. I like that.
-
DR George except for the chili part your dinner sounds good.
-
DR George except for the chili part your dinner sounds good.
I got a hot dog and a container of chili at Costco's deli, and had a chili dog for lunch when I went out today. I didn't put that much chili on the hot dog, so I still have a lot left, even after putting some on my eggs. :)

That was such a beautiful theatre. I hope to come up again, maybe with enough time to explore the neighborhood as well

Now it tells me there were 2 visitors today and 25 items perused!
-
Been reading Elegy Landscapes, a wonderful look at the paintings of Turner and Constable. Nice to be able to pick up a book and read. Work this week hasn't let that happen much. I hope this week is easier, but I doubt it.
-
Did anybody watch the recent Masterpiece production of The Woman in White? I got it from the library, but don't know if it's worth watching. I'm sure it's better than Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical version, but then, so is an allergy fit.
-
"A Gentleman's Guide" is one of the musicals that one of the local theaters is doing this fall. The Public Theater, as it is now calling itself, has an interesting season planned, which both tried and true ("Mary Poppins," "Into the Woods") and newer stuff, including "Elf," "Bright Star," "First Date" and "Amelie," the last of which bored me silly on Broadway.
The theater has staged the World War I Christmas revue "All Is Calm" for the last two years, and they're mounting it again, but they're doing it at another theater, since they're doing Elf. That's an interesting twist. The show has proved to be really popular.
-
Can we get off this page?
-
One more post ...
-
Five!
-
I think I'm going to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Well, crap.
-

It didn't look good to me. My brother was very disappointed and stopped watching.
-
I thought I was recording the Grammy Awards, but when I checked it just now, my DVR didn't actually record the show! WTH??
-
And even though they rebroadcast the show right after it ended, I didn't realize this until just now. The rebroadcast started two hours ago. :P
-
I was going to record this for Margo. Maybe it'll be available through Comcast's On Demand. Not very likely, though. I can remember only one awards show being made available. :-\
-
Oh, well. Shit happens.
-
It's not the end of the world...just a disappointing moment.
-
Hi, Jane.
-
It's not the end of the world...just a disappointing moment.
True.
-
Hi George.
-
We have rain but not snow, at least last we checked.
-
Chatting with Bryan today we mentioned Keith has been using a neti pot cuz of these cold symptoms neither of us can get rid of.
-
Bryan said to always use distilled or boiled water to avoid dying of an amoeba.
https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/health/2018/12/07/neti-pot-tap-water-caused-womans-deadly-brain-infection-report/2236681002/
-
I thought I would share that for those of you that use a neti pot. DR Jennifer do you still use one? Who else? Elmore, Vixmom, John?
-

I'd heard about things like that happening. :(
-
The directions on Keith's box say to use distilled or boiled water, however, those directions do not include a warning.
-
Keith is not happy it doesn't say "Warning Will Robinson".
-
He has not always used the correct water :-\
-
Good evening.
-
Evening Tom. How is your brother in-law today?
-
Snow storm lll is now over.
-
Storm lV is due around noon tomorrow.
-
This storm could be part snow and part sleet.
-
Hi, Jane.
-
Hi, George.
-
Thank you all for the good vibes for my brother-in-law.
-
He remained on a gurney in ER from yesterday afternoon to 4:30 this morning.
-
Page 6
-
Without being seen?
-
The hospital had no available rooms, or even beds.
-
At 4:30 this morning they found him a bed that had to be parked at the nurses station, because they still had no rooms.
-
They couldn’t get him a room until this afternoon.
-
Whoops, we lost George!
-
That usually only happens when I say hello to one of our Guests.
-
I wish I had bought more cranberry juice on Friday.
-
I am afraid to drive to the store tomorrow, in case I should get stuck in the snow.
-
Well, good night.
-
Do I understand this correctly? They saw him and wanted to check him into the hospital, howver, there wasn't a room availabe.
-
I am afraid to drive to the store tomorrow, in case I should get stuck in the snow.
Will you have the order delivered to you?
-
Hi, George.
Hi, Tom.
-
They couldn’t get him a room until this afternoon.
At least, he was able to get a room.
-
Whoops, we lost George!
I'm back.
