Well, you've read the notes, the notes sprung forward, and now it is time for you to post until the springing forward cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: REJUVENATION!
-
Notes devoured. Empowered.

I’d totally forgotten that Ford, Pfeiffer “thriller.” I saw that hound in the theater.

Just turned the heat to “high” so now it sounds like a jet engine is inside our hotel room.

I know that I never saw it. Guess I don't have to, now.

Okay, this was when I lived with my sister on 77th Street. There was a 8-story parking garage across the street. One time I hear yelling and crashing and commotion, so I look out the window and it’s like a scene from a Hal Needham film. A car had crashed through signs, crushed a mailbox, downed an awning then smacked into a fire hydrant which was dutifully spewing water 20 feet high. A lady had been given her car by the valet, and though she tried blaming him somehow, she’d mashed the accelerator instead of the brake, flew across the street, doing all that damage. This was right where people come out of the subway at Lexington, so a miracle she didn’t kill someone. So confusing brake and gas is possible, I suppose. Hope they nail the Tesla guy for distracted driving or something.

Jesus H. Christ, how much do I hate the first few days of the time change! I did everything in my power to be ready for today: I turned my clocks ahead yesterday morning, and spent the day working off those times, I watched several Law & Order episodes and turned off the lights at (old)8:30 , and then lay there with the cats settled in with me for the next four hours. Some time after (old)12:30 I feel asleep.
-
I had one very vibrant dream: I was working at Barnes & Noble as a cashier, the store was packed, and two customers came to the register with a stack of books, mostly film books like Leonard Maltin's movie guide. As I entered them into the register, the two college-aged jerks started acting smart, and while I was looking over the last book for its price, one of the two yong men reached around the register, hit a key, and rang up the sale. They then ran off, leaving me with a book in my habds and a sale needing to be voided.

Oh - I see in the Notes that BK already proposed the auto-drive theory as the cause of the accident.

DR singdaw, thanks for the link! I'' try to watch it today.

Today I must gather what I need for tomorrow's tax meeting and pack them in my travel bag. I will continue with the ballet, and hopefully not spend the dat in a lethargic, comatose state.

I’m actually up at my usual time, not even counting the time change, and it still feels like hell.

In four hours I must leave for the closing matinee and get warmed up at the piano there.

Yesterday's TOD:
I thought all day and couldn't come up with anything. Most any music will help my mood.....but then this morning I thought of some music that always points me away from gloom and doom:
Meet The Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Travel vibes for The Family Rodzinski.
Will you be visiting islands other than Tahiti?
I loved Bora Bora and Moorea.
-
We stayed in a fare, a hut reached by a kind of boardwalk.
There was a glass plate in the floor, which we could open and feed the beautiful, tropical fish below.
Tahiti and Vancouver were my 2 favorite places during my 15 years as an airline employee.
-
Travel vibes for Jane and Keith.
-
My mother has reverted back to her native German.
She seems to be talking to my late father, who passed away in 1979.
-
My heart is breaking.

~~~TRAVEL VIBES~~~ for the family Rodzinski!!!
-
When do you travel, DR Jane?
-
Closing in on a page turn.
-
Not soon enough.
-
Three.
-
Thanks for the travel vibes John. We still have 11 days before we leave.
-
Thanks Vixmom.
-
From DR Jrand:
When I was little I thought you had to stay up until 2 a.m. to turn your clocks ahead.
That's cute, and would have been horrible ;D
-
DR Rodzinsky I hope your travels are easy and your vacation wonderful and stress free.
-
I feel as if someone inserted an ice pick in my left ear while I slept
Oh no, that is scary as well as painful.
-
PAIN BE GONE VIBES FOR DR VIXMOM!
-
Thank you from the airport known as YVR.
It is a nice airport. We will be there in eleven days.
-
Many of the ones that froze are coming back from the roots.
Excellent.
-
Best of all, the hydrangeas seem to be doing well.
Lovely :)
-
And the irises are looking healthy.
DR Iris will be pleased.
-
I doubt that I will watch what used to be The Oscars.
No interest in this abode.
I read an interesting list of people who have been banned from attending.
-
I have read the opinion of those who feel Will Smith's ban should be lifted. I disagree.
-
Travel vibes for Jane and Keith.
Thank you.
-
My mother has reverted back to her native German.
She seems to be talking to my late father, who passed away in 1979.
Do you understand German?
Sending more vibes of comfort as you go through this.
-
My heart is breaking.
:(
-
When do you travel, DR Jane?
The afternoon of the 23rd, though we are just flying up to Vancouver, BC for the night. Then we have two flights to our final destination of Osaka.
-
We stayed in a fare, a hut reached by a kind of boardwalk.
There was a glass plate in the floor, which we could open and feed the beautiful, tropical fish below.
Tahiti and Vancouver were my 2 favorite places during my 15 years as an airline employee.
We boarded a cruise ship in Tahiti and only spent our last night sleeping on the island. We stayed in a hut, also reached on a kind of boardwalk. Keith sat on our back deck smoking a cigar while I swam in the calm ocean waters.
-
We could see beautiful Moorea from our little hut.
-
DR George, may I bother you for the link as well?
Yes, you may. :) Check your PMs!
-
My heart is breaking.
DR Iris, have you given her permission to die? I was asked this question when my dad was dying, and I was appalled. I finally saw the good side of it, even though my brothers were horrified. Every night after I resolved to give him permission, I would sit with him and say something like thus to him: Everything's under control, I will protect your estate and your wishes in your will, so don't hang around because you're concerned. All is good, and you can leave us. You have my permission. I love you. If Mom comes through that door and says, Come with me, old man, I want to you go with her.
-
It's possible your dad is waiting for her.
-
Travel vibes for The Family Rodzinski.
Will you be visiting islands other than Tahiti?
I loved Bora Bora and Moorea.
Just Bora Bora!
-
My mother has reverted back to her native German.
She seems to be talking to my late father, who passed away in 1979.
Fortunately Pastor F. noticed it before the service began and rectified my oversight
-
Sending hugs and vibes of comfort to DR Iris
-
My mother has reverted back to her native German.
She seems to be talking to my late father, who passed away in 1979.
Poor dear. I’ve been there. Not that my dad started speaking German, but he didn’t remember the years during which he had us kids.
-
I got another chunk of No. 7 orchestrated. I had to stop to feed the cats, and I will take my bath as soon as the eye drops are finished for the afternoon.
-
When my mother was dying in June 1994, she was talking to all of her dead siblings and parents. I'm convinced they were all in the hospital room waiting for her. When my dad was dying, he told my sister-in-law JoAnn that the room was filled with angels.
-
I am madly consolidating and backup up in preparation for tomorrow's computer transfer.
-
Four.
-
DR Rodzinsky I hope your travels are easy and your vacation wonderful and stress free.
Thank you! We are in LA, the land of BK now. Just staying at a hotel by l’aeroport until a midnight flight.
-
I did experience the worst airline around this morn. Flair Airlines, which is as lame as it’s name. Pay for checked bag. Pay for carry-on. Pay for water. And no pouch in the seat in front of you!
-
That's probably preferable to the midnight train to Georgia.
-
Thank you from the airport known as YVR.
It is a nice airport. We will be there in eleven days.
What are you doing in my hood?
-
Oh I see, just a layover on the way to Japan. Next time through, we’ll have to meet up!
-
I have been watching cake decorating tutorials. I'm not sure it's something I'll ever do, but it's soothing.
-
My dad had been long gone mentally, and one of his older brothers was physically reaching the end, and I told him, listen, when you get to the other side, please pull my dad across. And he did! My dad went a month or so later.
-
If I knew you were soothing, I’d have baked a cake.
Hard for me to take the Oscars seriously anymore.
If I knew you were soothing, I’d have baked a cake.
I wouldn't mind watching the Oscars opening monologue, but otherwise, not too interested.
Continued travel vibes for DR RODZINSKI & Co.
DR CHAS SMITH has gone to Chicago for the 2nd time in less than 23 hours.
-
I wonder if he saw a man who danced with his wife?
-
In Chicago...
-
I'm all for free yoga.
-
Good afternoon!
Wordle: 5/6
-
I'll be watching the Oscars. I saw most of the nominated actors and 5 of the 10 Best Picture nominees.
-
Hugs to DR Iris
-
My mother has reverted back to her native German.
She seems to be talking to my late father, who passed away in 1979.
Poor dear. I’ve been there. Not that my dad started speaking German, but he didn’t remember the years during which he had us kids.
That is sad. While my father's memory was terrible, and his short term memory basically gone, he always knew who we were.
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of very needed sleep.
-
DR Rodzinsky I hope your travels are easy and your vacation wonderful and stress free.
Thank you! We are in LA, the land of BK now. Just staying at a hotel by l’aeroport until a midnight flight.
We did the same before our trip to Tahiti, though we extended our LA stay to spend time with our family.
-
Allergies are bad today - just took a Claritin-D.
-
Oscars at five?
-
I did experience the worst airline around this morn. Flair Airlines, which is as lame as it’s name. Pay for checked bag. Pay for carry-on. Pay for water. And no pouch in the seat in front of you!
I am mostly shocked about the no pouch in the seat. Where do they store the barf bags, always a must have item for me. Selling water is also a bit shocking. Did they tell you that when you purchased the tickets?
-
Thank you from the airport known as YVR.
Staying at the airport ;D
It is a nice airport. We will be there in eleven days.
What are you doing in my hood?
Touring and sleeping at the airport.
-
Oh I see, just a layover on the way to Japan. Next time through, we’ll have to meet up!
That would be nice.
-
Awww. It took six weeks for my father to die because my sister wouldn't let him go. Worse was the uncomfortable medical treatment she forced on him.
-
I'll be watching the Oscars. I saw most of the nominated actors and 5 of the 10 Best Picture nominees.
Do you have any favorites you want to win?
-
Allergies are bad today - just took a Claritin-D.
You would not be able to take that with you if you went to Japan.
-
Eat your raw veggies now.
-
Escaped from the city of gangsters and molls!
-
We did that with my dad, too, who died right at the onset of the pandemic. He was no longer conscious (to all appearances), and my sister and her kids had all said their goodbyes. She called me from his room to have me talk to him for a minute and tell him it was okay to go, as she had done, because even though I couldn't be there, she thought he needed to hear my voice say it was okay, too. He went first thing the next morning.
-
I don't know if I'm going to watch the Oscars. I'm worn out enough to maybe just watch a good movie and call it a night.
-
We MUST watch the Oscars. Red Carpet in ten - but I hate that. So, I'll tune in at five.
-
That is nice your sister let you talk to your father.
-
I am reading Seth R's new musical theatre book. It's enjoyable, but he sure could have used a better copy editor.
-
I am interested in the experiences of other DRs in dealing with the decline of their loved ones. My only experience was with my Dad, who went unexpectedly in his sleep, so we didn't experience these kinds of issues.
-
No one's watching the red carpet?
-
How are the outfits?
-
We really must have some postings.
-
One can see all the Oscar red carpet "looks" at the New Yorker's live blog:
https://www.newyorker.com/live/oscars-2023-live-updates?utm_source=nl&utm_brand=tny&utm_mailing=TNY_Daily_SpecialReport_031223&utm_campaign=aud-dev&utm_medium=email&utm_term=tny_daily_digest&bxid=5bea0da82ddf9c72dc8e1c55&cndid=26145272&hasha=eae8c69cbaaf55c3bb0d37886616c7bf&hashb=c97a0a1732def655a0efdaf401cda9878a696517&hashc=7516c24064a3eb479f03f3ab8940556cc27ba344790ff886e89454ea2937c521&esrc=AUTO_PRINT&mbid=CRMNYR012019
-
Without having to hear all the inanity.
-
What on Earth is the interviewer wearing. And who are these actors?
-
Who is Kelly Ripa? Who is Ryan Seacrest? Who is Mark Compuelos?
-
I don't ever recall actors being this inane.
-
Some of these interviewers and pre-show people look like their teenagers.
-
And so many commercials already - only going to get worse during the show.
-
Jrand used to be all over the red carpet stuff. Where the HELL is he?
-
I think I'll watch the Oscars on the computer so I don't have to go back and forth.
-
Should we be on page twenty-five already?
-
Shouldn't we just?
-
Or at least on page six.
-
Maybe everyone hasn't sprung forward?
-
Three MINUTES of commercials?
-
Okay, is there gaslighting going on here?
-
I'm getting dinner together. My outfit is a divine chiffon with matching shoes.
-
You bet there is and I'm calling it out.
-
My clutch, however, is jarringly clashing.
-
See, the minute I call it out, we immediately get to the next page.
-
I'm in my Oscar shorts and t-shirt. I look stunning. And what is this awful music they're playing during the interviews.
-
See, the minute I call it out, we immediately get to the next page.
That means they're listening.
-
Ana da Armas looks normal.
-
Jennifer Connoly looks very strange and very severe and not like herself.
-
I literally don't know who any of these people are, but the woman on the screen looks like she's wearing a bunch of wrinkled material on her arms.
-
Who is Miles Teller?
-
I'm seeing a lot of pink and pastels.
-
Why is the interviewer asking an actor what his favorite family vacations were.
-
I literally don't know who any of these people are
That makes two of us.
-
Who ARE these people?
-
And where in tarnation IS everyone? Only thirty-five minutes to the show.
-
Bring back Joan Rivers, I say.
-
Micro-meditating.
-
Bring back actors I know.
-
Who ARE these people?
And what are they, fish?
-
Bring back actors I know.
That Hollywood seems to have gone the way of the Dodo bird.
-
Had Jack in the Box for food, a variety of items - it was a good batch.
-
The commercials are unbearable - I remember a time when commercials were actually fun.
-
Especially bad are the ones that think they're funny.
-
I see a lot of breasts and a wing.
-
If you get my drift.
-
No, announcer, it wasn't an incredible year for cinema - it was one of the worst, IMO.
-
That's a VERY high hairdo.
-
On set.
-
I have a fantastic team. Do you think Myrna Loy had a team? Cary Grant? Bogart? Bacall?
-
Hugh Grant cannot STAND this.
-
And who could?
-
Baz is kind of a moron?
-
Page seven has arrived. And so has TCB. But no Jrand - shocking.
-
And one guest.
-
The Oscar glory days here at haineshisway.com are long gone.
-
I'm kind of dreading the show, which I'm sure will be humorless.
-
Do these interviewers go to a school to be this idiotic.
-
More commercials.
-
I can't remember the last time I watched - five years, I think.
-
I think that's how long I've been in this house?
-
Singdaw, chime in, baby.
-
Two GUESTS.
-
These commercials.
-
And they spend MILLIONS doing them. I could make two feature films for what these things cost.
-
Where's JohnG?
-
Where's ChasSmith?
-
This isn't feeling like a partay.
-
I am my own partay.
-
Dinner tonight is a green salad with falafel and beets. Not sure how that combination is going to work out.
-
Jennifer Connoly look horrid with her hair like that.
-
I'm kind of dreading the show, which I'm sure will be humorless.
Jimmy K is usually pretty funny. At least, that is the hope.
-
Oh, she was in the new Top Gun.
-
The Great White Hope.
-
Oh, is he the host? Hit and miss. We'll see.
-
Michelle Yeoh knows she's going to win - that rollercoaster can't be stopped - interesting. I've never seen anything quite like it and for a movie I could not sit through
-
This is kind of an odd look. But what do I know?
-
Three GUESTS. No Jrand.
-
Are bell bottoms back in?
-
Are they au courant?
-
He was an odd interview.
-
Are they with it and hip?
-
Are they the bee's knees?
-
EIGHT.
-
Who is Pedro Pascal?
-
And TCB leaves without making a POST???
-
And George? Is he down some rabbit hole?
-
And who could?
I think Hugh Grant was really rude,
-
Just Singdaw and myself. This is a new low for us.
-
There's TCB.
-
Well, thirteen more minutes of this and then the show. Glad Fobu is working.
-
Four GUESTS.
-
I am interested in the experiences of other DRs in dealing with the decline of their loved ones. My only experience was with my Dad, who went unexpectedly in his sleep, so we didn't experience these kinds of issues.
The shock of that must have been difficult.
-
I didn't leave. I was posting.
-
I like macrame as much as the next person, but I wouldn't wear it on the red carpet.
-
No Jrand, no George, no JohnG, no ChasSmith. What is it that Chester A. Riley said?
-
TCB, your name disappeared, that's why it looked like it. Glad you're here.
-
Hi, DR TCB. Nice to see you "in the flesh," as it were.
-
I think there are more commercials than show.
-
Maybe everyone will magically show up at five.
-
The shock of that must have been difficult.
It was 2 weeks after a major surgery, at home. We feel pretty sure it was a blood clot. He did not suffer.
-
I'm interested to see how woke and pretentious some of this will be.
-
Cate is wearing the drapes.
-
Maybe everyone will magically show up at five.
I hear there's a tete a tete. Tonight. At eight.
-
Celebrating the risks everyone has taken?
-
Cate is wearing the drapes.
Honoring Bob Mackie, no doubt.
-
Jane has joined us.
-
I am not seeing the tv coverage; can't stand them talking. I hope to tune in in 6 minutes.
-
One can see all the Oscar red carpet "looks" at the New Yorker's live blog:
https://www.newyorker.com/live/oscars-2023-live-updates?utm_source=nl&utm_brand=tny&utm_mailing=TNY_Daily_SpecialReport_031223&utm_campaign=aud-dev&utm_medium=email&utm_term=tny_daily_digest&bxid=5bea0da82ddf9c72dc8e1c55&cndid=26145272&hasha=eae8c69cbaaf55c3bb0d37886616c7bf&hashb=c97a0a1732def655a0efdaf401cda9878a696517&hashc=7516c24064a3eb479f03f3ab8940556cc27ba344790ff886e89454ea2937c521&esrc=AUTO_PRINT&mbid=CRMNYR012019
Thanks for the link. I like Sandra Oh's necklace with the dress.
-
Nicole Kidman looks plastic, like M3GAN.
-
However, I won't have the capacity to post at the same time.
-
You are welcome, DR Jane.
-
Kidman wins an AFI Life Achievement Award??? That's a little shocking.
-
NINE.
-
I'll miss that broadcast.
-
You can keep refreshing to see the updates.
-
TCB's name disappeared again.
-
TCB, your name disappeared, that's why it looked like it. Glad you're here.
Really? my name disappoints when i post?
-
A new low in attendees at our partay.
-
Michelle Yeoh knows she's going to win - that rollercoaster can't be stopped - interesting. I've never seen anything quite like it and for a movie I could not sit through
LOL, I thought it was terrific.
-
TCB, weird, huh? I wonder if my name disappears. The Disappearing Name - that's the title of my next novel.
-
They say black is thinning.
-
Four minutes of commercials and then the show.
-
This is kind of an odd look. But what do I know?
Why do you think it is odd, because of the white jacket with black pants?
-
TCB, your name disappeared, that's why it looked like it. Glad you're here.
I mean disappears! LOL!
Really? my name disappoints when i post?
-
Jane, people either love or hate it. I gave it forty-five minutes and could take no more.
-
DR TCB, you can never disappoint.
-
Who is Pedro Pascal?
A very talented actor, and he is also the Mandalorian.
-
We lost a GUEST.
-
Shocking.
-
DR Jane - the jacket just looks a little big, I guess.
-
Maybe some will show up in three minutes.
-
I like my outfit of sleeping shorts and t-shirt.
-
I'm full from Jack in the Box.
-
The shock of that must have been difficult.
It was 2 weeks after a major surgery, at home. We feel pretty sure it was a blood clot. He did not suffer.
Just when you thought he was improving? I am sorry.
-
And Jack in the Box is full from me.
-
Jane has joined us.
I am not watching so will likely not stay.
-
One minute.
-
Thanks, DR Jane. This was back in 2004.
-
I wonder if there will be any wacko moments.
-
TCB, your name disappeared, that's why it looked like it. Glad you're here.
I mean disappears! LOL!
Really? my name disappoints when i post?
;D
-
I remember 2004 as if it were nineteen years ago.
-
We're starting.
-
Places, everyone.
-
Jane, people either love or hate it. I gave it forty-five minutes and could take no more.
I can see why.
-
DR Jane - the jacket just looks a little big, I guess.
Thanks. I hadn't noticed.
-
Thanks, DR Jane. This was back in 2004.
A loss like that never really leaves us.
-
I do not know these people in the audience.
-
Nicole Kidman can't even smile like a normal person.
-
JohnG has arrived. Jrand is the shocker here. Did he post about missing it?
-
Kimmel was fine - but sixteen minutes for an opening monologue???
-
Best Animated Feature.
-
We lost JohnG. but gained eight GUESTS.
-
No Jrand, no George.
-
And the winner is: Pinocchio. Haven't seen it.
-
Vixmom is here.
-
Jrand has finally arrived - he's got some splainin' to do.
-
Waiting for someone else to post.
-
Both Kimmels are done with their damn monologues.
-
Commercials.
-
I didn't realize they'd brought all categories back to the main broadcast - you know, like they did for seven DECADES.
-
Eight GUESTS.
-
Many commercials.
-
Hello?
-
Anyone?
-
At all?
-
Commercials - and they're LONG.
-
Seven GUESTS.
-
If I'm the only one posting, all the GUESTS will be gone.
-
Oh, c'mon already.
-
How many minutes of commercials IS this?
-
And the winner is: Pinocchio. Haven't seen it.
For what?
-
I'm still full from Jack in the Box.
-
For what I said: Best Animated Feature.
-
Page eleven.
-
So, they're showing best picture scenes throughout the show - that's difference.
-
For what I said: Best Animated Feature.
Really, I missed it then. Must have been a separate post and I scrolled too quickly.
-
LOL I am not watching the Academy Awards......I just can't.....it used to be fun for me, but now it's just too much.....of just about everything.
I've seen a couple of the movies.....but I really don't care who wins or loses.
Sorry....but maybe by NEXT YEAR I will enjoy them more and want to watch.
-
Have no interest in any Avatar movie.
-
Reading HHW tomorrow will tell me MORE than I want to know.
-
I found the missing post.
-
Jrand, you should watch!
-
For the sheer entertainment value.
-
Best Supporting Actor and Actress. Never remember those being presented together.
-
Oh dear, do we really need "inclusive" comments.
-
Best Supporting Actor and Actress. Never remember those being presented together.
:o
-
Best Supporting Actor. And the winner is: Well, there was no doubt - Ke Huy Quan.
-
He's been around a long time and of course was the kid in the second Indiana Jones movie and a kid in The Goonies.
-
Nice heartfelt speech.
-
Best Supporting Actor. And the winner is: Well, there was no doubt - Ke Huy Quan.
:)
-
Vixmom left without posting?
-
He's been around a long time and of course was the kid in the second Indiana Jones movie and a kid in The Goonies.
I didn't realize he was the kid from Indiana Jones until after I saw Everything Everywhere.
-
Nice heartfelt speech.
I will try and catch it later.
-
I think I will watch the show - or fast forward through it - tomorrow.
-
I can't watch and post at the same time with my setup.
-
Best Supporting Actress - will the rollercoaster continue? I think so. Especially if the audience reaction is anything to go by. Unless the two from that movie split the vote. But I think we know the winner is: Yep, Jamie Lee Curtis.
-
This rollercoaster cannot be stopped.
-
Where is GEORGE?
-
Rabbit holes be damned.
-
Best Supporting Actress - will the rollercoaster continue? I think so. Especially if the audience reaction is anything to go by. Unless the two from that movie split the vote. But I think we know the winner is: Yep, Jamie Lee Curtis.
Yea!
-
Who is this person - Kara de Levine? Yet another Brit.
-
I am very glad Jamie Lee Curtis won.
-
First song - pretentiously lit - yet another breathy vocalist - no, thank you. Typical Warren song. Oh dear - this singer is not for me. And don't TALK, sing.
-
Jrand has left the partay.
-
And now, five minutes of commercials. Or more?
-
I'll be watching the Oscars. I saw most of the nominated actors and 5 of the 10 Best Picture nominees.
Do you have any favorites you want to win?
Not really, but I'm interested to see if the predictions are correct.
-
KevinH is here. JohnG has left. And so it goes.
-
The Glory days are long gone.
-
Who is this person - Kara de Levine? Yet another Brit.
Cara Delevingne. After looking her up on IMDB, I still can't tell you.
-
Jane left?
-
I guess names DO disappear during posting.
-
Weird.
-
One GUEST. Nope, our Glory days are gone, Oscar-wise.
-
My correction, and now I know why Cara looked familiar. She was in season two of Only Murders in the Building.
-
I have now cried twice. And got kicked off of this new notebook.
-
Who is this person - Kara de Levine? Yet another Brit.
Cara Delevingne. After looking her up on IMDB, I still can't tell you.
I just don't get it.
-
Don't get kicked off a notebook.
-
The speeches have been nice. I could live without the horribly written banter.
-
I had to laugh at Jimmy Kimmel's comment about Nicole Kidman's video shown at every showing at an AMC movie. I can recite it by heart I've seen it so many times.
-
In the first fifty minutes three awards have been given out.
-
I'll be watching the Oscars. I saw most of the nominated actors and 5 of the 10 Best Picture nominees.
Do you have any favorites you want to win?
Not really, but I'm interested to see if the predictions are correct.
I haven't really followed the predictions.
-
Tar - hated it.
-
And Tar spelled backwards is - Rat.
-
I guess names DO disappear during posting.
Maybe. I left the page but it was still open.
-
Who is this person - Kara de Levine? Yet another Brit.
Cara Delevingne. After looking her up on IMDB, I still can't tell you.
I just don't get it.
Obviously I wasn't enchanted with her since I forgot she was on the show that I watch.
-
He changed clothes from the red carpet!
-
Documentary Feature: Navalny. Don't know what it is.
-
But I haven't seen one of these documentaries. One wonders why they didn't show them on Netflix, which is why I don't do Netflix anymore.
-
Having an A&W cream soda, Zero Sugar.
-
Oh, let's turn the page.
-
Almost.
-
STOP THE GASLIGHTING!
-
See?
-
So much for 45 seconds. No one has been played off, yet.
-
Best Live Action Short Film: An Irish Goodbye - as soon as I saw the word Irish I guessed it would win.
-
If the show continues at this pace, they will start playing people off.
-
First time "Happy Birthday" has been sung on the Oscars?
-
That is way too much red for one person.
-
They're actually showing a TRAILER for The Little Mermaid on the OSCARS? Fire the producers NOW.
-
And it looks awful.
-
Or did they get away with that because there are more commercials after it.
-
I wonder if Melissa has seen her former co-star. He weighs about 98 pounds soaking wet
-
First time "Happy Birthday" has been sung on the Oscars?
Who is celebrating a birthday?
-
Even Singdaw left.
-
Jane, one of the winners of short film.
-
Thanks.
-
Best Cinematography: All Quiet on the Western Front. Typical photography of today. But I didn't love the other films.
-
I wonder if Melissa has seen her former co-star. He weighs about 98 pounds soaking wet
Which co-star?
-
I don't think he said thank you so much enough.
-
Best Cinematography: All Quiet on the Western Front. Typical photography of today. But I didn't love the other films.
Interesting. I only saw Elvis in this category.
-
Second song nominee.
-
I wonder if Melissa has seen her former co-star. He weighs about 98 pounds soaking wet
Which co-star?
From MIKE AND MOLLY, or whatever her first series was called.
-
There are really some ringers woo-hooing up a storm.
-
what is this?
-
This may be the life, but it ain't a song. And what is this lighting or STAGING? Pure David Byrne. And that's not a good thing.
-
If the rollercoaster continues, however, it could win.
-
what is this?
Good question!
-
I'm all for free yoga.
(http://www.haineshisway.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7168.0;attach=16675)
;D
-
I'm home.
-
Hi George!
-
I have a lot of ketchuping to do!
-
The prodigal George has shown up. Will he just read and run? Or contribute?
-
Hi, Kevin!
-
Page fourteen has made its entrance.
-
The prodigal George has shown up. Will he just read and run? Or contribute?
Ketchup and contribute!
-
I love these medication commercials that spend the entire time telling you the awful side effects.
-
I'm home.
I didn't know you were gone
-
I wonder if Melissa has seen her former co-star. He weighs about 98 pounds soaking wet
Which co-star?
From MIKE AND MOLLY, or whatever her first series was called.
So you were exaggerating a bit, still he is rather trim now.
-
I am interested in the experiences of other DRs in dealing with the decline of their loved ones. My only experience was with my Dad, who went unexpectedly in his sleep, so we didn't experience these kinds of issues.
My dad went quickly. I didn't go see him in the hospital because there just wasn't time.
-
Four minutes of commercials.
-
Women Talking was not so good.
-
I have a lot of ketchuping to do!
Yes you do ;)
-
I'm home.
I didn't know you were gone
I went to a celebratory PFLAG meeting, then visited with my friend Shelly, and now I'm home for the duration.
-
And Tar spelled backwards is - Rat.
;D
-
Gratuitous Post #403!!
-
Best Makeup and Hairstyling: I'd give to The Whale or Elvis.
-
The Whale.
-
Where were those women seated? The balcony?
-
Hair and makeup, I guess, made Jennifer Connely attracttive on film
-
What's with Morgan's hand?
-
Does anyone remember if Sondheim was present in last years' "In Memoriam" section?
-
TCB, she USED to be hugely attractive - she looks like a whole other person.
-
The Whale.
I expected it to win.
-
This may be the life, but it ain't a song. And what is this lighting or STAGING? Pure David Byrne. And that's not a good thing.
That song was nominated for an Oscar?? :o
-
I hate to tell them morons - Warner Bros. did not make Singin' in the Rain, 2001, or many of the other movies in these clips. How DARE them. Clearly these commercials should not be introduced like they're part of the show.
-
Navalny is the Russian dissident who has been trying to stand against Putin. He was poisoned with a nerve agent but survived.
-
When did WIZARD OF OZ become a Warner Bros. film?
-
I love these medication commercials that spend the entire time telling you the awful side effects.
I think it's legally required now.
-
The song nominees - well, the days of Michel Legrand, Mancini, and all the other genius film and songwriters are long gone.
-
Costume Design: Ruth Carter for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
-
Colin Farrell and his son.
-
Best Costume Design: Will the rollercoaster continue? No. They finally lost one. Wakanda Forever - terrible movie. I would have given it to Elvis.
-
The song nominees - well, the days of Michel Legrand, Mancini, and all the other genius film and songwriters are long gone.
They're more noise than actual songs these days, 'tis true.
-
Navalny is the Russian dissident who has been trying to stand against Putin. He was poisoned with a nerve agent but survived.
Even though I haven't seen the documentary I expected it to win.
-
Page fifteen has made its entrance. Five people here now - is that a quorum and a partay.
-
This woman is irritating me.
-
Costume Design: Ruth Carter for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
I was hoping it would win.
-
Are you an Oscar voter, BK?
-
Colin and his son look very nice.
-
Best Costume Design: Will the rollercoaster continue? No. They finally lost one. Wakanda Forever - terrible movie. I would have given it to Elvis.
I liked the costumes.
-
Oh dear - another song. A global sensation. RRR. Never heard of it. Ooh, millions of views on TikTok - that MUST mean it's great.
-
I can see why you would have given it to Elvis.
-
Oh dear - another song. A global sensation. RRR. Never heard of it. Ooh, millions of views on TikTok - that MUST mean it's great.
;D
-
Ooh, millions of views on TikTok - that MUST mean it's great.
;D
-
Sounds like Gumnaam and every other Bollywood song. Choreography is at least energetic. This could win. Especially compared to the dreary Diane Warren song and that awful David Byrne thing.
-
I loved it!
-
I do think the show is at least smoother and moving along. Supposedly we're now halfway through, but I think there are a lot of awards to come.
-
Still nursing my cream soda. What have you all eaten today?
-
I think we have a partay but let's get some postin' goin' on, shall we?
-
That means you, George.
-
How many awards given out so far?
-
JohnG has returned.
-
Oatmeal, black bean chili, and a salad.
-
I loved it!
I enjoyed it, too.
-
I will NEVER understand these dresses cut down to the belly button so we can see the boob almost exposed. Can you imagine if a man did that?
-
Still nursing my cream soda. What have you all eaten today?
Potato chips and onion dip,
-
I will NEVER understand these dresses cut down to the belly button so we can see the boob almost exposed. Can you imagine if a man did that?
Dependsd on the man.
-
Still nursing my cream soda. What have you all eaten today?
I treated myself to a piece of cinnamon swirl toast with cream cheese & Oregon Marionberry jam.
-
Of course that is not all I ate.
-
Still nursing my cream soda. What have you all eaten today?
I drove through the downtown Olympia McDonald's and ordered the new deluxe Bacon Ranch McCrispy and a diet Coke. I drove off and ate in my car.
-
Where's JohnG?
Catching up. Up to page 6 or 7.
-
Depends on the man.
;D
-
The Bacon Ranch McCrispy had no bacon...and they gave me a regular Coke! :o
:P
-
SWEET SIXTEEN
-
Best Foreign Film: Easy to call - All Quiet on the Western Front.
-
I will NEVER understand these dresses cut down to the belly button so we can see the boob almost exposed. Can you imagine if a man did that?
;D Didn't I see a photo of some guy exposing his chest?
-
I don't know how I feel about Depends on a man.
-
I wrote the winner before it was announced. It will not win best picture, no worries.
-
I guess if he really needs them.
-
I will NEVER understand these dresses cut down to the belly button so we can see the boob almost exposed. Can you imagine if a man did that?
Dependsd on the man.
It didn't look good on the guy I saw.
-
That means you, George.
I'm trying! I'm on my tablet and that takes time.
-
The Bacon Ranch McCrispy had no bacon...and they gave me a regular Coke! :o
:P
Did you get a refund?
-
Best Foreign Film: Easy to call - All Quiet on the Western Front.
I haven't seen it. The trailer looked good.
-
I will NEVER understand these dresses cut down to the belly button so we can see the boob almost exposed. Can you imagine if a man did that?
I'd like to. ;D
-
Who is Pedro Pascal?
I’ve asked myself that a lot lately.
-
The Bacon Ranch McCrispy had no bacon...and they gave me a regular Coke! :o
:P
Did you get a refund?
I'm going to call. I'm sure I'll be able to get a refund.
-
Good evening.
-
I did experience the worst airline around this morn. Flair Airlines, which is as lame as it’s name. Pay for checked bag. Pay for carry-on. Pay for water. And no pouch in the seat in front of you!
I am mostly shocked about the no pouch in the seat. Where do they store the barf bags, always a must have item for me. Selling water is also a bit shocking. Did they tell you that when you purchased the tickets?
No pockets, so they don't have to clean them. Saves on labor costs.
-
Hugs to DR Iris.
-
Safe travels to the Rodzinskis.
-
I will NEVER understand these dresses cut down to the belly button so we can see the boob almost exposed. Can you imagine if a man did that?
;D Didn't I see a photo of some guy exposing his chest?
The Elephant Whisperers. Fillum.
-
NOW we have a partay!
-
Caught up. N
-
Best Animated Short Film: The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse, which is the title of my next novel.
-
I'd like to. ;D
;D
-
Not watching the Oscars. Watching a fun Julian Divivier film called Flesh and Fantasy. Edward G. Robinson, Barbara Stanwyck, Thomas Mitchell, Bob Cummings and Robert Benchley. Three short stories.
-
I'm on my tablet
Take two tablets and call me in the morning.
-
But I appreciate knowing the winners.
-
Best Animated Short Film: The Boy, The Mole, The Fox, and The Horse, which is the title of my next novel.
Maltby and Shire had a song which is awfully close to that title.
-
I haven't seen a movie since the kids were kids. So I'll leave ya'll to your Oscaring. Good night.
-
I'm still looking for her appeal.
-
Could the camera get any closer to her? Another awful, mundane, and sadly typical song of today.
-
No appeal.
-
I did experience the worst airline around this morn. Flair Airlines, which is as lame as it’s name. Pay for checked bag. Pay for carry-on. Pay for water. And no pouch in the seat in front of you!
I am mostly shocked about the no pouch in the seat. Where do they store the barf bags, always a must have item for me. Selling water is also a bit shocking. Did they tell you that when you purchased the tickets?
No pockets, so they don't have to clean them. Saves on labor costs.
Thanks for explaining.
-
Just got in and catching up. Hey, y'all!
-
'night
-
Wait, before I leave....
-
Terrible - might win because no one knows from music, melody, or lyrics. I like the Bollywood song better.
-
HELLO DR EDI :)
-
Was that from TOP GUN
-
What is this terrible MUSICAL commercial? Where is Stan Freberg when you need him?
-
Just got in and catching up. Hey, y'all!
Hello, Edisaurus!
-
And how long was that?
-
OMG!!!! Hello, DR Edisaurus!!!!!!
-
Edisaurus is here.
-
It's almost like old times!
-
Back in the days of yesteryear.
-
Five GUESTS.
-
No Jeanne.
-
Hey, guys! I heard several of the nominated songs. I was rooting for Diane Warren but I couldn't understand a single word the singer sang. And David Byrne sounded really out of tune...
-
When you long to be one of the cool kids...
-
But end up like this instead.
-
Andie - no work on her face and she looks amazing.
-
I'm still looking for her appeal.
I think I found it!
-
Hugh - no work on his face and looks great.
-
Best Production Design: All Quiet won Production Design??? Amusing on some level.
-
Hope you are well, DR Edisaurus.
-
Perhaps Cameron should not wait 13 years between sequels..
-
Original score is next.
-
Will someone explain to me what this person Mindy whatever her name is is wearing.
-
IT'S PAGE EIGHTEEN!!
-
Hi, Edisaurus! Welcome home!
-
Best Original Score: Hoping for John Williams - hated Babylon and don't care for the other scores that I heard. But the Academy knows nothing about music, so All Quiet on the Western Front, and if those repetitious three notes are indicative of the score, well...
-
Volker Bertelmann for All Quiet on the Western Front
-
I haven't seen a movie since the kids were kids. So I'll leave ya'll to your Oscaring. Good night.
Good night, Laura.
-
Why can't people just thank people?
-
🥰🥰🥰
-
Hey, Bill CEO person, learn how to work with a teleprompter so you don't look like you're reading.
-
Oh, they finally gave Warren an Oscar - honorary.
-
Checked out the not-red carpet. I liked Angela Bassett and Janelle Monae best.
-
Who is conducting the Oscar band???
-
Having had a Wendy's square burger about three weeks go, it is not what it used to be.
-
I thought the Mandalorian was that little Yoda person.
-
Not at all.
-
Can they wrap up everything in forty minutes? Yes or no?
-
Do they call the Mandalorian "Mandi" for short?
-
The breaks are getting longer.
-
Does the Mandalorian drive a DeLorean?
-
Is the Mandalorian a Californian?
-
Does the Mandalorian sing Mandy with Rosemary Clooney?
-
Best visual effects - clearly Avatar.
-
I still can't count.
-
Avatar it is.
-
Good night, friends. Party on!!!!!
-
Is the Mandalorian low-calorie?
-
Good night, Singdaw.
-
Sweet Mandalorian dreams.
-
Best visual effects - clearly Avatar.
So why wasn't Avatar considered for Best Animated film?? It's pretty much entirely animated.
-
How would you like to be sitting behind the woman with that white veil (or whatever you call it)?
-
How would you like to be sitting behind the woman with that white veil (or whatever you call it)?
It might make you take the vows.
-
Oh, no. Audience participation. :P
-
19?
-
How would you like to be sitting behind the woman with that white veil (or whatever you call it)?
I know! How rude of her!
-
Was this Q&A really necessary - it's bombing big time.
-
How would you like to be sitting behind the woman with that white veil (or whatever you call it)?
It might make you take the vows.
Ha!
-
I remember a time when the audience at the Oscars was not a bunch of woo-hooing, screaming American Idol watchers.
-
Edith Head designed Barbara Stanwyck’s costume in this. She looks spectacular, better than anyone on the not-red carpet tonight.
-
Is this the final song? Why are most Oscar songs these inspirationally insipid things? Banal lyrics, banal music that someone other than the writers arranged to within an inch of its life. It'll probably win, but I'm pulling for the Bollywood number because it was at least perky.
-
And another song with NO ENDING.
-
Craft, baby, nothing like it.
-
More commercials.
-
Can they wrap it up in twenty seven minutes?
-
Original and Adapted Screenplays are coming up next.
-
Craft, baby, nothing like it.
If it’s a commercial, wouldn’t it be Kraft? As in lay on the cheese.
-
I was really glad that Jimmy Kimmel mentioned Danielle Deadwyler in the opening monologue. I was disappointed that she wasn't nominated for best actress for TILL.
-
Will Trent? Looks terrible.
-
While I didn't love Till, I admired it for not showing the deed and her performance was wonderful.
-
Caught up!
-
I was NOT here earlier even if my name was
-
I have see exactly zero minutes of the oscars
-
Best Screenplay (Original): I think the rollercoaster will continue here, so Everything Everywhere All At Once. I guessed that prior to announcement. LEt's see.
-
I have see exactly zero minutes of the oscars
Zero plus zero is a big fat zero. I’m in good company.
-
Best Original Screenplay: Everything Everywhere All at Once
-
Yep, the rollercoaster continues. Best Picture is now a shoo-in.
-
Vixdad was watching the end of something when I got home from visiting WFO and running errands
-
Best Screenplay (Original): I think the rollercoaster will continue here, so Everything Everywhere All At Once. I guessed that prior to announcement. LEt's see.
Was Going with Banshees
-
Then we switched over to the season finale of The Last of Us
-
Which stars Pedro Pascal BTW
-
Now we’re watching Sully
-
It is wonderful to see DR Edisaurus among us!
-
Best Adapted Screenplay - clearly based on what's happened this evening - All Quiet on the Western Front. Living should win but Academy members simply couldn't be bothered to watch it.
-
Best Adapted Screenplay: Women Talking
-
Women Talking??? Awful movie and part of that is the screenplay.
-
WFO and I watched the film The Last Five Years
-
The only film I’ve seen of the nominees is Everywhere EVerything WTF
-
I was left unimpressed
-
Think they can wrap this up in fifteen minutes? Well, after this commercial break in eleven minutes? Not sure how many categories are left - at least four biggies, plus the award for song, so that's five, but there have to be more than that.
-
And I'm guessing they need to get in at least two more commercial breaks.
-
I do not understand all the Oscar excitement for that fever dream of an acid trip
-
But then they once awarded best song to “it’s hard out here for a pimp”
-
Soooo………
-
Anything is possible
-
Maybe I’ll catch up on Oscar highlights ( as it were) on the You Tube
-
Finishing up Flesh and Fantasy. Anthology movies don’t always work for me, but I really liked this one.
-
I don’t even know who all are the nominees were
-
20 pages!
Now, that’s a partay!
-
Are?
-
Best Actor in a Crime Drama:
George Santos
-
Best Sound: What is that ridiculous outfit Janelle is wearing? I'd guess Avatar on sound.
-
Best Sound: Top Gun: Maverick
-
Best Actor in a Crime Drama:
George Santos
Or lousiest actor
-
Hello, Edisaurus! 😊
-
Top Gun: Maverick. Probably it's only award. I haven't seen it yet but everyone loves it - from what I've seen tonight, I'm not sure I'll be one of them.
-
I must now catch up.
-
Vixdad just switched to the Oscars
-
She had that exact same outfit on on the "red" carpet except in white!
-
Best Song: Hoping Bollywood takes the day.
-
And it did.
-
Naatiuu naatiu
-
Mindy Kaling, that is..
-
Never heard anyone sing a carpenters song as their speech before!
-
That was fun!
-
Gratuitous Post 602!!
-
Note to other songwriters: There is craft, not everything needs to be a power ballad, and insipid lyrics are tiresome and so are false rhymes.
-
That composer was fun.
-
Mindy Kaling, that is..
Maybe she has one for every day of the week.
-
Oh I didn’t miss the Memorial
-
Cindy Williams best be in this.
-
Cindy Williams best be in this.
Nope. :(
-
She was not…an unforgivable oversight
-
I found it very distracting to show two people at once and to have one out-of-focus while the other was being shown
-
Was Angela in it?
-
a) I don't give a crap about Lenny Kravitz. b) dear inept directors - do NOT cut to wide shots in this segment c) no lyrics, just musical background. Finally, how DARE you leave Cindy out of this. I'm sure she's on the website, but she stars in two iconic films, The Conversation and American Graffiti, and is also in Travels With My Aunt and many other films. How DARE they. They are forever on my F list for that omission.
-
Edisuarus I think of you whenever I hear about editing
-
Think they'll wrap this up in - oh, wait, we've past that and there are still at least five awards and two breaks left.
-
You can go to http://oscars.org/inmemoriam for more tributes.
-
The rollercoaster continues - best director/best picture for sure, probably best actress.
-
Cindy Williams was featured in the SAG Awards broadcast memorial.
-
I think he has had some edibles
-
PlasticWoman.
-
Best Director: I think we know.
-
WHAT a surprise!
-
I'm annoyed that John Williams didn't win.
-
So, three left?
-
You can go to http://oscars.org/inmemoriam for more tributes.
The omissions at the show were scandalous
-
Could end by eight-thirty, maybe, depending on how many breaks the take. If they take one here, there'll be one after the actors, and the could take one before picture.
-
Just say THANK YOU.
-
While I didn't love Till, I admired it for not showing the deed and her performance was wonderful.
She's an Atlantan, and starred in my friends' extremely low-budget film, RECKONING, which they wrote especially for her. She's very nice, and well-respected here. I was sure she would be nominated.
-
What the hell was that speed talking guy wearing?
They always are. :-\
-
I liked Rihanna's outfit better than her one at the Superbowl.
It’s 1117 here so …
-
I need to get ready for bed too.
Really?? It's 2023 here. ::)
;)
-
OK Kimmel, that was a good George Santos joke
-
Her hair looks like mine after I pulled a turtle neck off
-
YES!!
-
Best Actor - Bill Nighy but he doesn't have a chance because no one could be bothered to actually watch it.
-
Brendan Fraser!
-
I was not expecting that
-
Brendan Fraser would be a nice win.
-
And so it was.
-
Bill Nighy was the best, but I'm glad it was at least Brendan Fraser.
-
fANTASTIC!!
-
It was a nice speech but now it’s wandered away
-
No love for Banshees.
-
Why do these nominees applaud themselves?
-
Best Actress: I'm bored of Cate. Ana de Armas tried hard but the movie was terrible, so no. Riseborough - would be a surprise win, but I don't think so - not Michelle W. but mostly likely Michelle Y.
-
Jamie Lee Curtis directing Michelle Yeoh to go get her award…
-
Best Screenplay (Original): I think the rollercoaster will continue here, so Everything Everywhere All At Once. I guessed that prior to announcement. LEt's see.
I don't get the trend of wearing elaborate dresses with tons of fabric and then having to open it to show off your black miniskirt and legs underneath like Florence Pugh. I blame Angelina Jolie! (Obviously I'm behind and still catching up!)
-
Yep. Can't stop the rollercoaster.
-
Predictable, but I like her.
-
Oh I’ve just had an Oscar dedicated to me!
-
Thanks Michelle!
-
This audience is nauseating - think Myrna Loy would have behaved like that? Cary Grant? Gregory Peck? Katharine Hepburn? Bette Davis? No.
-
But I will never forgive these morons for Cindy not being there.
-
Oh I did see Banshees
-
I mean, if they included a director like John Korty, whatever one thought of him, and others of that kind, then you don't leave out Cindy.
-
Banshees was Terribly depressing
-
I mean, if they included a director like John Korty, whatever one thought of him, and others of that kind, then you don't leave out Cindy.
They left out Angela Lansbury!
-
Best Sound: What is that ridiculous outfit Janelle is wearing? I'd guess Avatar on sound.
I usually like her style but that dress is really unflattering. Looks like her top slipped down few inches.
-
Best Picture: WHAT a surprise. Ten years from now people will be scratching their heads wondering how this happened, I guarantee you.
-
Everything Everywhere takes it
-
No person is more important than profit?
-
I mean, if they included a director like John Korty, whatever one thought of him, and others of that kind, then you don't leave out Cindy.
They left out Angela Lansbury!
They didn't. I saw her.
I must have blinked
-
Talk about MOVIES - not the world.
-
No real surprises except possibly Brendan Fraser.
-
1136 pm
-
Number of Oscar telecasts without incident: 1. That made me laugh out loud
-
The shock on Jamie Lee Curtis’ face when her name was announced!
-
Well, a fun party here.
-
Just saw that on the recap running under the credits
-
Good night, all.
-
So, only thirty-five minutes over.
-
Goodnight!
-
I am in the mood for Taco Bell
-
I am in the mood for Taco Bell
Mmm...Taco Bell. :)
-
I am not, however, in the mood to go out
-
Elmores probably asleep so I guess it’s up to Chas to bring it to me
-
Oh excellent, just heard about the Signature Bank collapse
-
And a No’easter headed our, way
-
Oooof, sorry Chas, it’s mostly headed your way, I’m afraid
-
a) I don't give a crap about Lenny Kravitz. b) dear inept directors - do NOT cut to wide shots in this segment c) no lyrics, just musical background. Finally, how DARE you leave Cindy out of this. I'm sure she's on the website, but she stars in two iconic films, The Conversation and American Graffiti, and is also in Travels With My Aunt and many other films. How DARE they. They are forever on my F list for that omission.
Plus the piano blocked some of their job descriptions, like editor Robert Salva. Grrr. But glad to see documentary filmmaker Julia Reichert in there.
-
Managed to watch a bit. Not too painful.
-
No Stella Stevens?
No Larry Storch?
The carelessness of the in memorium never fails to annoy.
-
Edisuarus I think of you whenever I hear about editing
Awww...well, very impressive for that young man's second film! Funny joke from Jimmy about the Jan.6 edit.
-
So, they include Jacques Perrin, who no one here knows (he's great, but...) but they leave out Cindy? They leave our Robert Morse? They leave out Bert I. Gordon? They leave out Owen Roizman? They leave out Arnold Schulman? Henry Silva? Paul Sorvino? Stella Stevens??? Marsha Hunt? Jean-Louis Trintingnant? Joe Turkel? David Warner??? Clu Gulager? Melinda Dillon? Hugh Hudson? We get Mary Alice but not Cindy? Diane McBain? And I could go on and on. Shame on all of them.
-
Page 23? Really? :)
-
Must go sit on the couch for a moment. Allergies are abated but really messed with my throat.
-
Her hair looks like mine after I pulled a turtle neck off
🤣🤣🤣
-
Best Actor - Bill Nighy but he doesn't have a chance because no one could be bothered to actually watch it.
I loved LIVING abd pretty much everything he does
-
It’s not hard to do research. How can they always fail so hard?
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I haven't been watching. I haven't seen any of the films and don't know who half the people are. Difficult to be interested.
-
I did look at the Red Carpet. Not one dress I liked. Usually there's one or two. Nothing this year. I think some desginers are trying to be outrageous. I prefer style, class. I'm clearly out of touch.
-
Travel vibes to the Rodzinskis. Sounds like a very interesting trip. Stay well.
-
Good night.
-
Well Chas never showed up with my Taco Bell
-
Concerned for his welfare, I went looking for him
-
On the way I drove through Taco Bell
-
Well not THROUGH
-
Drove by the building
-
Very close by
-
Shouted in my order and a nice man handed it out the window
-
Chas, you can go on to bed now, thanks!
-
Thank you Jeanne!
-
Great to see the A.C.E. edisaurus on here.
-
Had some fun finding a location in a movie - never easy, but this one had several stores - it still took about thirty minutes to figure it out. Luckily, once I figured out where one store was, everything then fell right into place. Most interestingly, as I was watching the movie my first guess as to what street they were on turned out to be correct. And the fact is, if you flipped the camera around to the north side of the street? Du-Par's formerly my father's restaurant the Kiru Cafe.
-
What is this page twenty-four malarkey?
-
I joked about "shouldn't we be on page twenty-five" when we were on page five, but there's no question we will absolutely make page twenty-five.
-
Oh it’s nearly 2 am
-
My goodness but time flies when you advance the clocks an hour
-
Taco Bell was good
-
Possibly unwise
-
But good
-
We’ll see if I can sleep now
-
But I have promises to keep
-
And pages to turn
-
Before I sleep
-
With apologies to Robert Frost
-
We have arrived
-
Good night friends
-
Page twenty-five has made its entrance.
-
Page twenty-five has made its entrance.
Who'da thunk it??
-
25 like the good ol’ days!
-
Now we are at LAX awaiting boarding a flight to Papeete.
-
I think the last Oscar Party on here I remember, Three 6 Mafia won the Oscar for “It’s Hard Out Here For a Pimp.” So… progress, or…?
-
George never came back???
-
What rabbit hole did HE go down. How unseemly.
-
I thought we'd be off this damn page already.
-
But noooo...
-
Not us.
-
Not right.
-
Not left.
-
Not up.
-
Not down.
-
Maybe sideways.
-
I don't know what the HELL I'm talking about.
-
All I know is that George is down some damn rabbit hole.
-
Oh well, nothing to be done about it.
-
George never came back???
What?? I never left!
-
Que sera sera.
-
Whatever will be, will be.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
What rabbit hole did HE go down. How unseemly.
I'm recording the Oscars onto my computer go make a DVD for my niece. She and my sister no longer have broadcast TV.
-
PAGE 26 Gratuitous Post #750 DANCE!!
-
:D
-
Page twenty-six - amazingly amazing.
