Well, you've read the notes, the notes, like Levi, arrived, and now it is time for you to post until the arrived cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BESPOKE!
-
First post after BK!
-
Today, I'm not sleeping in. :( I'm choosing to go to work and make up time that I lost because of Communicating Doors' tech week. I have a great tendency to nickel-and-dime my time away (vacation time, that is), and I'd like to build it back up a bit, so I'm going into work. It'll pretty much be just like a regular work day with regular hours (a little less than usual, though), a lunch break, then to the theater for tonight's performance. It's just all on a Saturday.
-
So, good night and have a good day, all!
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning.
-
Today I am going to make cake pops.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I must say I rather enjoyed not getting up before dawn’s crack this morning.
-
I did wake up briefly in the middle of the night, and I had one doozy of a dream later, but I guess I had a decent rest.
-
It was a housecleaning dream.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I tried to sleep in, but two hungry kitties did everything to prevent that, beginning around 5:30. I foiled them until 7:30, when I finally capitulated. They've had their chicken liver paté and Annabelle's waiting on the birds.

This place needs a really good vacuuming today, and I need a trip to my pharmacy.
-

I pictured her wearing a little apron and carrying the bread to the window sill on a silver platter.

I remember bits of a strange dream that took place in 2018 and France around 1630 with the Three Musketeers. My dad and high school friend Cynda Mason were in it as well

That's rather accurate.

Time to jump into my day

Vibes for every one
-
Nursie, I am really enjoying Mary Berry's book. It's poorly edited with a lot of grammatical errors but it's full of spirit and seems as generous and genuine as Miss Berry seems to be on the telly. The photos are great.
-
Thanks for the book report.
-
Sigh, I have been awake since 3:30.
-
Good morning to all
-
Two miraculous miracle vibes for MR BK.....and continued futzing an finessing vibes as well.
-
Chili and Chore vibes for DR VIXMOM. In honor of all of her work, I am staying home today and doing nothing.
-
Second night vibes for DR GEORGE.
Good to hear about the continued healing from DR JOHN G.
-
On Retroplex, several Japanese monster movies are being shown....I started watching last night and will watch a few more today....
-

That is a lovely tribute, DR Jrand67.
It just goes to show how caring we can be when we put our hearts and minds to it.

T.O.D.
I'm a simple guy.
Peanut butter & Jelly.
-
Now I am in the mood for a chunky peanut butter sandwich with apricot preserves. If I could find plum preserves I would have that.
-
Good morning, all.
-
How did things go, DR Michael?
-
TOD:
I rarely have bread at the house, but in late summer I love to make an open-faced tomato sandwich on sourdough with a little mayo, fresh dill and the best tomato you can find.
When I eat a sandwich out, I usually prefer chicken salad, and I, too, am a purist. Nothing sweet like grapes, chutney, raisins or sugar in it. I had a chicken salad sandwich when I was in the hospital recently. All it was was chicken and mayo. But the mayo was so sweet (probably Helmann's) and there was so much of it that I couldn't eat it.
I'm also fond of ham and Swiss on rye or sourdough with butter on the bread and a little onion (pickled is better).
-
I'm up, I'm up - probably six hours of sleep.
-
I almost had a stroke at the pharmacy. My ophthalmologist's two prescriptions, with my copays, comes to around $20. In December he added one more, which I picked up today. With my copay, the drug was $131.00. I just sent him a message informing him that I would not be purchasing it again.
-
I got up and took a nap.
-
How does Shrimp Enchilada Soup sound to our pescatarian eaters?
What is it, fish?
-
Watching the end of a strange war comedy from Jean Renoir called The Elusive Corporal. Grande Illusion is ain’t.
-
I've been listening to the OBC of Mack and Mabel. What a good score!

You did not have to purchase it today. Hopefully it will be worth the cost and you will find it helpful. With luck your ophthalmologist will have samples you can use, or prescribe a drug that is as effective & costs less.
My medications usually cost more at the beginning of the year and go down in cost as the year progresses and I use my deductible.
-
I make egg salad sandwiches at home and order them out. I like Hellman's but know what DR John is talking about. I gag when it seems the salad is more mayo than egg.
-
I like a sandwich made with Grillers which is a soy pattie. I use may, avocado, tomato, and cabbage instead of lettuce. When Keith grew Wala Wala sweet onions I also added sliced, fresh from the garden, onions.
-
The six weeks we lived in hotels during our move here it began to get difficult eating protein & I got tired of eating egg salad.
There is a lunch place near us we like and I did eat their chicken salad sandwich with red onion, pineapple, almonds, cranberries, mixed with our herbed mayo. I suppose DR John would not like it but we thought it was exceptional.
-
Futzed and finessed most of yesterday's writing, then went and did the stuff I needed to do, then came home and finished futzing and finessing and I've written a little over one new page.

Yes, I was just going to say that's been my experience once my annual deductible is used up.
-
I've done a little over three pages. Now I'll get ready to visit Richard Sherman - I'll try to do one more page, then I can do three more when I get back, and then seven more after dinner. After tonight, I think I'll be in the last fifty pages or so.
-
Good afternoon.
-
I apologize for being E&T last evening. My internet service, including my WIFI, was down all night.
-
Hi DR TCB. How are you?
-
I reset it this morning, and it seems to be fine now.
-
At least my Kindle was working last night.
-
T.O.D.
Usually at home I will make either tuna salad or egg salad.
When I go out to eat, my sandwich choice is usually a clubhouse or a Reuben.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I was pleased BK and I could get together yesterday. I've had so many soft-food days lately, which is OK when I'm home, but when I go out to one of my favorite eateries I want to be able to have my favorites! I have a break of a couple weeks before we start the next round of dental work.
-
The two guys at the next table were television writers and that's all they talked about. When I lived in the DC area, I'd go out to lunch and the people around me--all total strangers--would be having conversations that could have some out of the mouths of my coworkers and I. It was a bit eerie at times. Here in LA, the same thing happens, but of course it's Hollywood talk. Much of the conversation from the guys yesterday was very similar to what BK and I talk about.
-
Then the conversations should have been interesting ;)
-
They were having breakfast and Bruce and I both kept drooling over their food. It looked really good! I'll have to have breakfast there one day; I always opt for lunch.
-
Then the conversations should have been interesting ;)
You could certainly tell they enjoy what they do.
-
I was hoping to receive my Levi and Villa-Lobos CDs, but it was a few hours too soon.
-
Today I am going to make cake pops.
What are cake pops, Laura?
-
This place needs a really good vacuuming today
Here, too!
-
How does Shrimp Enchilada Soup sound to our pescatarian eaters?
What is it, fish?
No for me. I'm a picky pescatarian eater. Plus, I avoid shellfish due to allergies. All the more for you, John G.
-
Chili and Chore vibes for DR VIXMOM. In honor of all of her work, I am staying home today and doing nothing.
;D

Congrats to DR George on a good show last night.
-
Continued recovery vibes to John G.
-
It's a gorgeous day here today--bright sun, clear blue skies, but COLD. It was windy earlier and it cleared the air.
-
I'm waiting for a neighbor to finish her laundry so my things can go into the dryer.
-
Weekend vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
I've been listening to the OBC of Mack and Mabel. What a good score!
Plenty of joy there.
-
Starting a Stephen Frears movie I know nothing about, Cheri. Michelle Pfeiffer plays a courtesan. It’s based on a Collette story.

That is not how it works with my HMO. I do not have a deductible; I have a copay, which is not the same.

Then holy cow a co-pay of $131 on a normal prescription! I'll just say again, holy cow!

And this is on medicare?

As they say in Florida: Oy Gevalt!

I gather then the meds are rated differently and put in different flat copays.

For those who remember the end of Frears’ Dangerous Liaisons and the image of Glenn Close, there’s a companion shot at the end of Cheri of Michelle Pfeiffer. It’s like a bookend. Very powerful. Sadly, the rest of the movie wasn’t anywhere near as good.
-
Glad to hear your news, DR JohnG!
-
LOL DR CHAS SMITH!
I like a club sandwich with ham and turkey and bacon and cheese and lettuce and tomato.....when I go out. And sometimes I make them at home. On toast of course.
I love a good double cheeseburger with lettuce tomato and dill pickle. At home or away....
A ham sandwich with cheese lettuce and mayo at home is always easy to make.....usually on toasted white bread.
-
Back from a really wonderful visit with Richard Sherman. Got everything signed, and to see his face when he heard the ten-minute opening number for Levi was incredible. He was very emotional.
-
Now I have two hours to write four or five pages. Yikes.
-
DR elmore check out this alternative for your new medication.

We changed our insurance this year. After our first refills I will be comparing prices.

I've been watching the 1997 BBC production of Tom Jones. It's quite a lot of fun and the cast is wonderful. Most seem to have been cast for their resemblance to the Tony Richardson film cast. Since it's five hours long, it's much more faithful to Fielding's novel, and there are a lot more characters. It does give me a great appreciation for John Osborne's wonderfully swift and funny screenplay. Since this is the BBC, 1997, and not 1964, there's a good bit of nudity as well.
-
I dusted this afternoon and was surprised how little dust there was. Now the sun is shining on the furniture I can see how much dust there really is, and how much I missed.
-
Ladies and Gents,
For your viewing pleasure, a Lady and a Gent.
-
Eight pages so far - I had a creative spurt, I must say. I was puzzling over a structural issue and when I figured that out it led me to a nice place. So dinner in thirty minutes then I'll come home and write another six or seven pages. I can pretty much see now how the entire last fifty pages will play out structurally, so that's excellent.
-
Ladies and Gents,
For your viewing pleasure, a Lady and a Gent.
Thanks, DR Chassmith!

My wonderful friends came as the Olympic Rings...they each wire a shirt of a ring color and linked arms
-
There are pictures on the book face but I'm am not smart enough to make them appear here
-
If any one feels moved to post them fr me I would be most grateful
-
And we fed 92 people at the soup kitchen today. Including 22 children under the age of 12
-
Heartbreaking when a 5 year old is excited to be given a loaf of bread to bring home with him
-
A 10 year showed up without a coat. When asked where it was he shrugged and said he gave it to bus 8 year old brother because he was older and could stand the cold
-
He teared up when one of the women brought him into the donation room and found him a good warm (used) coat .
-
And I had my hairs cut

I’ve never won a chili cook-off either.

Good for all of you.

I’m watching something deranged from the library called The Visitor. Glenn Ford, John Huston, Franco Nero and a sci-fi story laced with a few psychotropic drugs.
-
Second night vibes for DR GEORGE.
Thanks, Jrand!
-
We have a full house! Well, less than five seats are empty. :D Hopefully, that'll continue!

:o HOPEFULLY, there's a cheaper drug that you can get!
-
Congrats to DR George on a good show last night.
Thanks, Jeanne!

Back from such a fun and yummilicious dinner with a very nice family - more about that in the notes.
-
Good night, all.

Great show tonight!

Very muchly enjoyed by all!

Now, I'm going home.
Be back later.

Was it sweet like you normally make it or spicy like you did it this year?
-
None the less a fun time was had
Good though I was disappointed not to see a photo of you wearing the apron.
-

We had a nice evening with a visiting friend. She only lives in Portland but stayed the night so we could have a nice long relaxing visit.
-
Fifteen pages and I am all in.
-
Good evening
-
We are expecting a minor windstorm starting around midnight.
-
Most of the wind gusts (up to 60 mph) will be on the coast, but now they are saying we get some of the wind gusts inland.
-
I guess I should have taken down my outdoor decorations off the balcony.
-
Oh well, a little late now.
-
I don’t expect us to see (or is it feel?) much wind in Tacoma.
-
I am glad that George’s show went well.
-
Very cute kitty photo!
-
FJL, have you gotten much positive feedback about VIVA MAX?
-
The 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle has mounted their own production of MAMA MIA that plays the month of February. I decided I really wanted to see the production. Unfortunately, there is not a single wheelchair accessible seat available for the entire run.

That's ridiculous. The WCPA can handle more than that. :-\

Well, since we're so close...

6!!!

Good night, George.
