My printer is being a spaz and only printing one page of things.  I don't know if it's the wifi, or the printer or what, but I'm ready to take a sledge hammer to it.

I could bury my face in those.

Now I'm off to see The Heiress... It's long and there are a lot of words.  Hate to eat before I go, then most likely I'll feel comfy and want to sleep, which I've done at these things.  So, no food until later.... in the meantime, my pockets are full of cough drops.

SingaSong, you saw my friend Sally Wingert as Fräulein Schneider. She's an amazing actor. She was at the Guthrie for 25 years until they stopped signing actors for full seasons. Most of her work has been in Minnesota but she's been on Broadway, she went to London with La Bete and she's been in other regional theatres around the country.

What is La Bete?

It's a stinking piece of theatrical shit which was a big bomb when it was first done in the 80s and it never should have been revived, but, hey, that's just my opinion.

You say stinking piece of theatrical shit like that's a bad thing...       8)

Finished the Oklahoma! book. Time for some dinner and then a start on one of the 9/11 trauma books. Joy.

What are 9/11 trauma books?

Home from a lovely dinner at Ted Montana on 51st between Sixth and Seventh.  I had trout and asparagus, Kevin had ribs and mashed potatoes, and DJ had a bison burger, and we shared a side of brussels sprouts. we;re working on a possible April reading of "Christmas Up the Holler," and we went through the script and discussed things. Here's the new website:
http://www.christmasuptheholler.com

I hated the stage version of "Thoroughly Modern Millie." The film's too png but it's so much more stylish, thanks to Joe Leyton, than the Broadway mess.  Great arrangements by Andre Previn and fantasti costumes, to boot!

Different strokes.....

the show went very well and we got a standing ovation from the small and most appreciative audience. The cast after only a handful of rehearsals exceeded my expectations. Although I almost had to step in for an actor who overslept and made it to the theater with 15 minutes to spare after missing the cue to cue tech.

Congratulations, Mike!

Today, I ushered for a tour of Menopause: The Musical and then saw a concert/fund raiser for the local PFLAG group and an organization called Pizza Klatch.  It was a very good concert.  The Righteous Mothers is a local band made up of four women singer/songwriters.  They were the opening act for Steve Schalchlin, who wrote The Last Session.  He sang songs that he had written and told stories.  All very entertaining.

I brought in my copy of the recent London cast recording of The Last Session and was able to get him to sign it after the show.  He was very excited that someone even knew about it.  He autographed it for me:

I just watched the latest episode of "Psych."  This episode is evidently a remake of an episode from the first season and all during this episode, they kept saying how much they hated remakes.  I have the first season (actually, the first four seasons) on DVD, so I'm now going to watch the original episode.

I think that the actor who plays the defendant's lawyer is the same actor in both episodes.  That's kind of cool.

This is interesting...the actor, Michael Weston, is the son of John Rubinstein and grandson of Artur Rubinstein.  According to his IMDb bio, "He changed his last name from Rubinstein to Weston because there was already a Michael Rubinstein in the Screen Actors Guild."

Done about eight pages.  I still have another quarter page to go, just to finish the current chapter.
