DR JRand, keep a look out for the mail...I sent you a box of goodies...one item is something I'd meant to send you for your birthday (or was it Christmas?).

Let's see if I can find those Sparky records I had as a kid, since no one here seems to know what I'm talking about, unless I missed a post, which is entirely possible. :)

Alejandro the plumber is, in actuality, actor/singer Victor Turpin...in case you were wondering.

Are you going to snap photos of them, BK? They would be fun to see.

And here are both of the ones I had - the talking train one scared the bejeezus out of me as a three or four year old.

I thought I'd seen every children's record between 1950 and 1960, and I've never seen those! I love the covers, and i would have wanted them around 1950, which was the height of my "I want to be a train engineer when I grow up." Trains were my obsession.

And I am awake; the mouse traps went off and woke me.

Yes, Virginia, I killed my sixth mouse tonight. So, I had to clean up the area, dispose of the body, and reset the traps. I don't believe they're in the apartment but in the walls of the building, and about every two-three weeks one of them makes a visit on a foraging spree. I caught the last one a week ago, s the cold may be sending them into apartments where they can find a hole to get through. Unfortunately, I can't move the fridge t get back there and see where they're entering.

Topic of the Day:  I don't know if I would call this a "favorite," but my sister and I had this exact book and record of "Little Brave Sambo."  Watching the YouTube video just now (click on the link), I found that I remembered the melodies to a couple of the songs.

Little Brave Sambo?

Well, since they're all red-headed....
