THIS is the LP to which I was referring.  IIRC, I paid $1 for it in a 5- and 10-cent store.  For whatever reason, it has long been "very" collectible:

The label above is Mickey Mouse Club, I think, rather than Disneyland.

Schools cancelled again here today due to the cold. Up to -50 windchill until sometime tomorrow.

Are you still in Fairfield CT or do you need to update your HHW profile?  ;)

I am intrigued by the item that DR SINGDAW has described - I never heard of such a thing, but it sounds like fun.

And now, I'm off to bed.  In the morning (or early afternoon), I'll purchase Kritzerland's latest CD!

CD has been ordered!

My first actual kiddie record was something like Sparky and the Piano or Sparky and the Train - there were several in the series and we had them - probably as 78s.

Afternoon, all!

TOD:
Egads, did I listen to a lot of stuff as a young 'un. For reasons never entirely clear to me, my parents had me listening to a lot of Allan Sherman and selections of Tom Lehrer and Flanders & Swann (and you wonder how I turned out the way I did). As far as actual children's music  Free to Be You and Me was on constant rotation, as was a collection from Schoolhouse Rock, and a bunch of Golden Records stuff. My favorite of the latter, as I recall, was There's No Such Thing as a Dragon, featuring a song called "Everybody Likes to Be Noticed."

DR CILLA LIZ got some nice furniture.....I scored five nice chairs last fall when the insurance company in the strip mall was moving....they left them out by the dumpster, so I grabbed them for the store....nice.

It has been my experience - if you live in a college town - that driving on the campus around graduation and the end of year, you can find lots of nice chairs and desks out on the street.....

Someone today suggested our next employee appreciation theme was going to be "come as your favorite literary character."

I'm telling you I just can't appear in public as Scout Finch.

When I was small (ages 4-6), my grandfather lived with us and we had his furniture in our house.  I loved his floor model record player and his 78 rpm records.   I used to play Les Paul and Mary Ford recordings and dance around the living room.  And "The Bunny Hop" was my biggest hoot.  EVERYone who came over had to dance "The Bunny Hop" with me.
