TOD

CD:
Hairspray
The Apartment & The Fortune Cookie

REEL TO REEL:
Miles Davis, Sketches of Spain

DVD:
The Osterman Weekend.  Such an odd film, and hideous DVD transfer, but in a lovely package with a Nick Redman & Paul Seydor commentary which I look forward to hearing, perhaps this evening.  I always forget a lot about this film, then when watching I end up thinking I should be liking it more.  I love Robert Ludlum books and Cold War stuff, but this isn't typical Ludlum, and the film has such a dated surveillance theme going on.  At any rate, will appreciate listening to what Mr. Redman has to say about it all.

Last night, we went out in the cold to see some of the ice sculptures on display in Rice Park, as a part of the 10-day long Winter Carnival. It was beautiful, but hard to see the sculptures because of a recent snowfall that had not been brushed off.

There was an ice bar, which I didn't capture. We opted instead to repair inside to the grand old posh St. Paul Hotel for a bit of refreshment.

I myself will be having a wisdom tooth pulled early this afternoon. One of eight major dental appointments for me necessary between now and May.       :P

Ah, the Winter Carnival. I have many fond memories of the festivities. Hope it's still as much fun as it used to be.

Just futzed and finessed and then happily wrote close to four new pages.  I may try for one more before I leave, but I can definitely do another page or two when I get home after rehearsal tonight.  If I can do three or four tomorrow morning, too, that will be ever so lovely.
