THE SITZPROBE
« on: January 30, 2014, 11:59:45 PM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a sitzprobe, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently having a sitzprobe and they don't like being probed by a sitz.

I really like "Arthur's Theme."  I'm glad that you were able to explain to them about why it shouldn't be sung slowly like a mournful dirge.  I've heard too many songs that are slowed down to that point and granted it's a choice, but it's not a good choice...usually. ;)

Fun fact:  "Arthur's Theme" was the very first song that I ever sang at karaoke.  My friend Rick (who just got married last year to Scott, his partner of more than 20 years) talked me into going.  This was more than 15 years ago.  I really didn't know what to sing, but that was one that I found quickly enough.  I sang okayly, but karaoke really isn't my thing...still isn't.  I do have a lot of friends who love karaoke, and I'm happy for them, and I don't mind going, I just don't care to sing.

Friday morning greetings!  We spent yesterday and evening at St. Barnabas Anglican Church, having lunch, meetings, mass, and dinner.  It was nice to be out and about after two days of captivity here in the hotel.

I'm waiting now to be picked up by my (and DR Elmore's) friend Becki.  We're meeting Andrea for breakfast before Richard and I head out to Carrollton, GA, to visit my cousin and his fiancé.

DR GINNY - Carrolton, GA, is where Miss Susan Hayward spent the last years of her life....she is buried near her home there.

I am taking my car to the shop this morning.  My sister Myrna will follow me and bring me home.  Hopefully it can be repaired without breaking the bank.  Time Will Tell.

Good morning, all! I slept late since I have no plans until 11:00, when I will head down to Caroll Studios for the sitzprobe of LITTLE ME. I was having a peculiar dream involving my mother, my brother Randy as a little boy, a Christmas tree, and several Manhattan friends. I remember none of the particulars, but i suspect it had to do with my lingering anger at her behavior to him in the 1970s. The fallout still exists.

Last night, around 9:30, one of the traps killed another mouse; it took me about 30 minutes to clean up, dispose of the body, and reset the trap.

I need a day at Toyland this weekend, and I'm waffling between tomorrow and Sunday. Since I detest football, Sunday seems the better day. First I need to finish my taxes.

Morning, all!

Happy birthday, Mike!

Spent all day yesterday with son #2 in the hospital for bilateral hydrocele surgery (not the most serious procedure, but don't look it up if you're squeamish). Am very tired.

How exciting (and appropriate) that so many good things are happening for you around the time of your birthday!
