I didn't notice that I hit a millstone last night (ouch!). 4,000!

I will have last night's SVU to get to today and also THE SOPRANOS from Sunday night.

I hope I didn't say too much in what was clearly a Spoliers Report on SVU!  If so, I'm really sorry.

And if you want to hear what it sounds like, here's a link to a cool marimba version of the "12th Street Rag".

Cylinder Preservation and Digitization Project

You can click on a link in the middle of the page for a streaming audio version, or download it as an MP3 or WAV file.  The main hook of the tune comes after the intro.

*It's also just a really cool site too.

Anthony loves that site. He has found performances of many songs which he thought were long lost. They have an amazing number of clips including speaking clips of some famous people of old. Unfortunately, the Oscar Wilde clip of him reading from The Ballad of Reading Gaol is short and not in good shape so it's hard to understand.

Hey, DR elmore - I would actually like to see "Hot Fuzz" again.  So, if you do end up going...

*Although, while I was in Chinatown on Saturday, I did buy an "advance copy" of the "Hot Fuzz" DVD.   ::)  :-X

There's a 5:30 showing at 84th Street that I was thinking about attending, so . . .

The # 1 song on the day I was born was: "Dominique" by The SInging Nun

That explains sooooo much!

DR Jose, you never know when I may show up at your doorstep...especially should DR Elmore change the locks on his door.

It's already been done.

Ballerina by Vaughn Monroe?  That's what I get?

LOL-I like it, even if it is very sad.  And it's better than Craig's song.

Time for more pictures.

I will tempt you with food.

We had a professional chef on our Monday at the Mansion. He made an amazing dinner. This is a picture of him in the kitchen with just a portion of the food (which included Australian steak and Florida lobster tails)

Still have a couple of days to read Singdaw.

Here is the last food picture. It's not really food, just candy. A friend bought Karen personalized M&Ms. They lasted a couple of days. I'm surprised they lasted as long as they did.

Well, the postman just brought my Amazon.com book order including the scandalous newly published journals of Leo Lerman.  I'm already in shock: did you all know that Yul Brynner's lovers included Hurd Hatfield and Marlene Dietrich?  My mother would plotz.

I will never forget a(n) LOL moment years ago when I was subletting rooms in a house I rented.  We were all gathered around the communal tv watching (IIRC) "Murder, She Wrote," when one of our slightly tipsy and drug-addled roommates excitedly blurted out upon seeing a guest star, "Ooooh--Hurd Hatfield!!"  Maybe you had to have been there.
