Ben, I have indeed spoken kindly and well of Miss Bacall, with whom I had a terrific experience.  I first met her at dinner, and we just had the best time eating Chinese food, and then in the studio she was a doll - I had no problem going into the booth and giving her direction and it was great.  I've talked to her a couple of times since, and she's always been very nice.  I've heard the horror stories, but with Bacall and Stritch I just didn't see that behavior.

Jose - yes, I was assured before I said goodbye to my friends that I had experienced the transcendent musical moments, and they were wonderful, and I wouldn't have wanted to have missed them.  I promise myself that i will do more studying before going to the Met (for a foreign language opera, at any rate) in the future, so that I won't be so reliant on checking the translations every few seconds.

And now I must shower and get my showered butt-cheecks (and the rest of me) to work!  Until later! :D

I was happy to sleep until nine-thirty, which I needed to do.  Now I'll package up the amazon order and go ship that, then start writing around eleven.  It took twenty minutes to catch up on the posts.

Well... Time for a run-thru of Act I... Pray for Rosemary's Baby.

Laters...

Rosemary's Baby--why hasn't someone made that into a musical yet?

DR Cillaliz -- Sam Meranto, Sam Meranto, that's Sam Meranto, is a local hypnotist who claims to work miracles. He does infomercials wherein he repeats his name again and again repeatedly over and over.

We had a very loud thunderstorm a while ago -- just as DR Sandra stepped outside to head for preschool.

Well, if anybody wants a new, unopened, widescreen copy of the DVD let me know - we have two.

I hate it when that happens...     :)

So the bootleggers are getting fancy with their packaging now?

No, early? onset senility makes perfect recall of which titles are on our list of over 800 DVDs (and Borders 30 limit on returns makes it tough for us rural dwellers ($20 in gas to return a $12.00 purchase is folly!)

I never even noticed that.....

However, I am off to do some errands before work and hopefully I can check in a bit later. I am hoping we do not have a repeat of last night.

I've been waiting to hear how Matthew's diet is progressing. The last I heard, he said he didn't feel hungry at all. I hope he hasn't stopped eating entirely and just vanished!

It would take WEEKS and WEEKS to entire vanish, but I'm working on it.  Today is Day 4 - so far so good.  Did some walking yesterday which was great fun.  Today since I have the day off, I'm going to attempt the excercises that come with the plan.  18 minutes two days a week, can you beat that?  It's basically a series of stretches.  The food is still kinda bland, but we're working on that.  Eventually, the lack of salt won't be so evident.  I have TONS of energy, which is nice and I feel "lighter" still can't figure that out.  (I feel like Jekyll when he took the "drug" for the first time as I report the progress here) So, all things are going well.

that is why hypnotic-induced non-smoking routines regularly work.

And how about weight loss?
