I, too, would love for Anthony to get Drowsy Chaperone. The audition is tomorrow afternoon. There's nothing like a nice long First Class Equity Tour to help the bank account.

Of course, it would be good for his soul also, if he got the tour.

Call me old-fashioned, but I remember when one tried to get RID of cockroaches!

That attitude would have had you added to the CSI body count for the evening 8)

It were the candy what did her in!

I know it was. But candy ain't what did Marie Antoinette in which was the allusion I was going for.

My sister called me and said drive her back to work after lunch and take the van....so I have my new 37" Widescreen Polaroid Television.

It will be a week or so before I get my Digital Cable - so I am watching it "regular" but it's nice.

I have a nice brass three-prong red/white/yellow cable....is that what I use to hook up my DVD player....do I use ALL three of the wire....I am a bit confused.  I have DVD through S cable right now....which will be fine ... for now.

I also bought a book at the Goodwill store for 69 cents:

Complete Idiot's Guide to Past Life Regression.

My guess is that it's easier than installing an HD Television!

If you don't have it hooked up by the time I get home from my second session (CLOSER, then gardening show) I will ask my in-house AV geek.

You can use the red/yellow/white cable, but use it just for picture. (I know you have a surround system, so I know you have your sound already attached from DVD player to receiver.)

You can put the yellow cable in the green jacks, the red cable in the red jacks, and the white cable in the blue jacks on the back of the DVD player and then into the TV. Be sure you keep the colors consistent from player to TV.

If you use the yellow in the yellow jack, you're going to get a WORSE picture than using the S-video cable, AND you won't have any progressive scan capability.

Congratulations on your new tv, JRand. I can't be of any help to you, hooking-up-a-tv-wise. All I know how to do is plug in a tv into the electrical outlet.

Heading down now to get started on cleaning the bedroom areas. I should have time to watch GREEN FOR DANGER from Criterion. Really looking forward to it.

It's a stopgap solution using what he has on hand. Ideally, he'd have the green-blue-red video cables for component connections, but since he didn't mention having those, I ATTEMPTED to help him solve his problem as clearly as I knew how. It would be easier doing it by phone, of course.

....Later this year, Kritzerland will be releasing for the first time ever, the original director's cut of the film, along with the butchered version done by the producers, both in the original aspect ratio.

Yea!! ;D

And the truly scary part is that most, if not all, of those stories are true.  -And I've personally witnessed at least two of them.  And one of them involved the police.  :-\

One of my neighbors was her standby on DER ROSENKAVALIER and she had stories!  So did a friend of mine who once her agent a Columbia Artists.

Can any of these stories be posted??  I've always heard that she has "issues" but no one will say what they are or what exactly has happened. ::)
